Deport the whole family together and you’ll avoid family separation.

Reb Eliezer, if the authorities could jail the entire family of illegals together Republicans the the right would be all for it. But the Democrats and the left got the liberal judges in the courts to rule that illegal alien children can’t be held in detention. That’s why there is family separation.

Reb Eliezer: No, if the children were born in the US to illegal aliens, the children are still US citizens (unfortunately.)

Nevertheless, even if the entire family are illegals, then they all should be arrested and jailed together until deportation.

Tagging them with a filter is only a b’dieved for those that need it for business. If unneeded for business, there’s no business in having a smartphone in the first place.

Hence, yes, there very certainly is great benefits for English-speakers to know Yiddish to communicate with Yidden the world over who don’t speak English.

I have heard countless cases where one of the parties responds to the hazmonos to Beis Din, and states that he/she does not want to divorce at all, and wants to engage in treatment to restore shalom bayis. This is a proverbial delay that guarantees nothing happens for quite some time. And when it comes to these issues, men and women are equally to blame.

TLIK: Why would you assume when one spouse sincerely is requesting shalom bayis, even if the other spouse is insisting on divorce, you’d assume insincerity in simply delaying the inevitable. The reality is that a spouse typically has the right to insist on the continuation of the marriage, as divorce on demand isn’t a right one spouse unilaterally can demand.

The great talmidei chachomin in klal yisroel over the last almost 500 years have mostly come from among the Ashkenazim. 500+ years ago they largely came from the Sephardim, though there were of course the greatest of the greats, Rashi, as well as numerous others such as the Baalei Tosfos etc. that came from Ashkenaz.

The Ashkenzi OTD became the Reform etc starting some 200+ years ago. The Sephardi OTD became Catholics about 500-600 years ago. Today fully one third of modern day Spanish Christians descend from Sephardim.

Reb Eliezer shlita: There a stira between your last two posts. First you wrote that the problem of learning during davening is that others might copy you and then there will be less than ten people answering the shatz, so you cannot learn during davening.

In your second comment you wrote that ten people need to listen to the leining, so it’s okay to learn during leining (I assume you’re only mattir that during leining if the minyan has more than ten people AND at least ten people aren’t learning during leining). Aside from that being contradictory comparatively (in that only in one you’re worried about there being less than ten), you also then changed the reason why you said not to learn during davening (to it being an individual chiyuv).

The Eidah Chareidus is not Chasidish. Rav Shterbuch shlita isn’t Chasidish. Rav Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld ZT’L, its founder, isn’t Chasidish. They were anti-Zionist under their Litvish leadership.

Both the first and the second Satmar Rebbe’s were the leaders of the Eidah Chareidus. In fact, they are the only two leaders who didn’t live in Eretz Yisroel.

ftresi: After the war there was a large influx of Eastern European Yidden into America. They and their children and grandchildren today far outnumber the rest of Frum American Jews. So their Eastern European havara, as being the most populous, gradually replaced the old time modern type of American prewar havara as the Eastern Europeans and their offspring today represent most of the Klei Kodesh teaching Torah in the Yeshivos.

ITFT, I heard a joke where a grandfather dies considerably younger than his grandson, so when they get resurrected as they died, they will say that, he is the grandfather who looks substantially younger, will make us laugh .

The chassidish pronounciation iof ee over oo is a problem because it does not distinguish between male and female. How does a chassidish cow go? mee mee instead of moo moo.

Reb Eliezer shlita: That isn’t a “chasidish pronunciation”; it is the same pronunciation used by the Chasam Sofer and other Oberlander Yidden. And that havara predates the existence of the chasidim,
