mw13, they were complicit. Zionist Rudolf Kastner, in the name of the Zionist Jewish Agency which he headed in Hungary, sold half a million Hungarian Jews to his friend Adolf Eichmann ym’s in return for a trainload of people to escape to Switzerland, who were mostly filled with his immediate and extended family and his colleagues in the Zionist Agency. In return, he withheld information from Hungarian Jewry that he knew Eichmann was shipping them to Aushwitz and not the work camps they were led to believe.

    That was just one example.

I’m declaring the Third Day of Adar to be Holocaust Day every year. I’m sure ubiq would not dare disregard that date for this purpose.

Of course it is appropriate to commemorate the Holocaust. But it is inappropriate to make the day in Nissan the secular anti-religious Zionist government chose for that day in defiance of the rabbonim. This day the Zionists chose has no more relevance to Holocaust remembrance than Thanksgiving Day has to Holocaust remembrance.

Le Pen will not win. Not even come close to winning.

That said, if she does win (which she won’t) it isn’t bad. She’s nothing like the caricature the extreme left in the media and politics portray her. 99% of the accusations against her are false and politically motivated. And the other 1% are good things the elites don’t like.

Winnie, living among many Yidden and less goyim is a plus/benefit to seek rather than living among more goyish culture/less Yiddushe culture. The ruchniyos benefits of Lakewood/Boro Park are greater than that of Norfolk.

Avi, the guy making $200k and complaining is simply a kvetcher who wants more luxuries. Forging luxuries, $200k can very easily get by in life.

That makes sense. KJ, which is exclusively Satmar, alone has a population that’s getting fairly close to half the size of the frum population of all of Lakewood. And Satmar has additional strongholds in Williamsburg, Boro Park, Bloomingburg, Lakewood, England, Belgium and Eretz Yisroel.

And Satmar is only one chadidus out of many.

I mentioned above there are as sh”ut that pasken they are mandatory.

You’re assuming it is improper. Even if you’re correct, which you might not be, the “impropriety” of wearing a burka-like garment is far less than the impropriety of dressing with pritzus garment in public.

Which of the two should gall us more and cause us to cry out in greater protest?

Rav Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg zt’l was asked if one should pray with a minyan on an airplane. He said yes, adding that he does it “all the time.” While strictly speaking it might be permitted to pray at your seat, Rabbi Scheinberg prefers that one pray with a minyan, but quietly in a way that doesn’t disturb others.

smerel, if there are far more Chasidim than Litvish, it is also highly probable that there are more Chasidim than all frum non-Chasidim combined. Chareidim (i.e. Litvish/Yeshivish and Chasidim) constitute two thirds of American Jewry, as of several years ago (with the Chareidi percent increasing dramatically.)

These frum areas have rapid population growth. It’s over 7 years since the last census. Also, the frum population has long outgrown just the municipal boundries the census reports use and have expanded into surrounding neighborhoods/towns that are included in the above count.

Some recent demographics I’ve gathered are

5,000 babies born per year to frum families in Maimonides Hospital in Boro Park.

    20,000 frum families in Lakewood.

8-9,000 frum families in Kiryas Yoel/Monroe.

2-3,000 frum families in New Square.

Morocco has sizable Jewish communities. Polygamy is also legal in South Africa (where even the President has multiple wives), which also has a very large number of frum Jews.

In any event, I wasn’t referring to what the local gentile countries we’re living in permits. You could have a halachic marriage without undergoing a secular marriage. In the United States of America tens of thousands of Mormon Fundamentalists and African Muslim immigrants have polygamous marriages from New York City through Utah, and have been doing so from over a century ago through today.

Obviously, all this is currently only applicable to non-Ashkenazim.
