scienceprogram i know what you mean!there is a fam in my community that people know dont have enought money…. anyway they keep buying all these fancy cloths from expensive stores, its hard not to judge them, but when there kids go to skl without what they need its hard…..anyway i just feel when i walk in a room i am literally looked up and down and it makes me uncomfterable! on the one hand if i dress nice they will treat me nice, but i will be playing into fashion,on the other if i dont keep to “fashion” they wont know i am “protesting” SO WHERE IS THE “MIDDLE LINE/ SOLUTION???”
first of all how will the school really be able to find them onfacebook? They could easily have fake names ! and besides if the girls want facebook they will find one way or another, i know of plenty of people in ny and lakewood that dont have internet(b/c of skls) go to friends houses and use internet there! If teens want someting they will figure out how to get it! Isnt it better they should be home with parnets there then at a friends house?
exactly! why would have the jewish popuation(women and girls) find it reasnable to start wearing zippers on thier heads? then cloths? It all just doesnt make sense! Why cant tznius be a fashion?thats what we are supposed to want to do afterlall?!??!

Twinklestar I m sorry if you feel i didnt awnser the qustion! But i thought i did when i talked about peer pressure … I mean think about some of these girls unfortuntaly look at one another expecting to find their awnsers! When in reality they should have a role model, older girl… Its all really quit sad,
Lets say it daily for a week and see how it goes! I”YH at that point he will have a complete refua and there wont be a need for it anylonger! What do other People think?
@avhaben She might see her friends doing it and in all honesty feels that if they do then she can. I am not defending it but think of a teenage girl, and how hard it is to fit in, when she sees others doing something (ex. short skirts) then she cant see the wrong! Or in simple honesty she doesnt feel that it will make a diffrence! I have talked to some teen girls and tey simply ask” why and how would a man be attracive to my dried elbow/knee? What looks nice about them?”
When looking to buy a skirt or any article of clothing really, just remember “ATTRACTIVE NOT ATTRACTING”! A skirt in truth could be a foot below the knee and not be tznius because of the color or how it fits! Just remember you should look presentable, you are representing Hashem, dont dress to call attention!
