K i will get back to you tommorow, its my pleasure i hope it works out!
BYbychoiceMemberI have a cousin in Minnesota, I believe they said something about a new day camp opening up this summer, they would probably be happy to get some new people there! If you are intrested I can find out more information!
BYbychoiceMemberI believe girls say it, because that is what they are told they should want! throughtout by the teachers try as hard as they can to convince them that it is the right way( trust me i know this from experience!) the only thing is is that they dont really take into account that it might not really make girls happy in the long run! If they just left people to make their own life decisions, there probably wouldnt be as much divorce! People need to think for themsleves!!!! I hope i didnt get anyone to upset, sorry these are just my opinions!
BYbychoiceMemberYou should with out a doubt tell girls the truth! If your scared, say something like” this is just what i think….”or” my opinion is…”. Girls will appreciate the truth, not what they want to hear, but what is reality!
BYbychoiceMemberI dont know what to tell you, but hang in there! I am sure they just dont know how to react,so they are reacting the only way they now how. good luck
BYbychoiceMemberhavdala and kiddush always brought out some creativity!
BYbychoiceMemberIt is a great expeirance for both!!! It also helps them to see if they really have the will power to make the right choice of doing things worth while( atleast most of time)! It is what they make it!
BYbychoiceMemberI dont think they mean in a theater! I mean if non jews saw it then it would cause problems, like ushpizan was a fantstic concepts and great actors but i think it gave of some bad impressions! I mean really other then by plays there really is nothing when you can just sit wacth and be ammused! Not saying anything is wrong with that, but…

BYbychoiceMemberI think one of the more importatnt things is to make sure he feels accepted. Make it so he feels that there is actually something( a connection, reason…) to come back. When he feels that he is ready he wont tell you and it wont be straight out, it will be little signs. If there is some acctivity that you know he has some intrest in that is ok that you never addressed before, try now. He is looking for understanding, show him you dont need him to be perfect but who he is. Do something something special that he wants, not what you tell him you want to do.
BYbychoiceMemberyeshivaguy1- You know i think there are more people behind it but they are to afraid to speak out! Maybe the saying” actions speak louder then words” work for them, maybe they give money…. anyway, much hatzlacha in all you do, remember we are always behind you, and if you need support! We are all brothers and sisters, both in life and for the sanctity of ‘H name!
April 18, 2012 4:11 am at 4:11 am in reply to: What can Yeshivos and girls' schools do to prevent students' OTD feelings? #972712BYbychoiceMemberI think we can all agree that the only way to really know if students absorb the information is if they have test! Yet i also feel that perhaps hashkafa class isnt really a class you need a grade in. I mean they should be using the time to strengthen the students yiddeshkeit, not studying abilites!!!
April 17, 2012 10:04 pm at 10:04 pm in reply to: What can Yeshivos and girls' schools do to prevent students' OTD feelings? #972702BYbychoiceMemberThe biggest thing is to not make them feel diffrent, bys and yehsivas dont have to do anything if they are doing the right things then they shouldent have to change!
BYbychoiceMemberyeshivaguy1- no prob, you know if i felt it was from ‘H , and thought about it for a while, i am not so sure it would make a diffrence! I mean its like saying would you not go out with someone if they have 5 sibings? It is apart of who they are, and if as far as i can see that everything else macthes then it isnt a added thing, it helped make them who he became! Do you get what i am saying?
BYbychoiceMemberleah, leia laya, layah, lea,??????
BYbychoiceMembermarvafan- thank you very much for that , and about the diffrent education.. I totally agree with you, one is how to live and one is how to GO and live. But you really cant have only one you really need both! What is the point in just learning if noone to show and teach, adn what is the point in defending if you have nothing to defend!!!
BYbychoiceMemberwell on behalf of everyone(those who would and wouldent admit it) for doing what you are! I do not live in Israel but have many dear freinds and family who do and i have been there a few times and I knew i am frighten Sometimes there are just certain looks from some arabs that make you want to run, its not a fairytale its real life and its scary. As for the negative commetns, they are from people who are to scared to beleive in anything. they bad mouth what they are to afraid to learn about!!!
BYbychoiceMembermy opinion first one sounds like it has a tzadi , while the second has a zayin. Think about it, spell it out like you never heard it before!
BYbychoiceMembercrazybit- Dont allow? Do you really believe that all people follow rules??
BYbychoiceMemberyeshivaguy1- First i want to say thank you for all you do (if that is what you do,srry you can really never tell on these things ) and what i ment was we arent talkein about a place for military combat training bootcamp, we are talking about MAARAVA, it is a sleepaway camp run by agudah midwest for teenage girls!!!!!!
I myself truely believe in tzhahel and what it stands for!!! I am not chalila saying no to the subject i am saying this is not the forum about it !!!!!!
p.s. i do know people serving there now and people like that who sacrifice are always on our minds!!!
BYbychoiceMembermarvafan- we are doing just fine here! Thanks thought, i do be beleive we are on the same terms here.
BYbychoiceMembera number of nyers? them and njers ar about a qaurter of the campthey would probably rule if it wasnt orignanly ment as a chicago camp! Besides if your kids are really from out of town they would prob fit in!
BYbychoiceMemberWhat is going on? hey maybe someone actually did hyjack it!!!! (purim shtick)
BYbychoiceMemberIts not good for anyone to use it excessively, and yet they do! But htink of the ups of texting
if someone was on a mega bus on a trip overnight and they needed to know somehting they could text someone insead of calling and possibly waking someone up! Or if osmeone really doesnt have time and they have a question they can text instead of being rude and saying”HI i dont have time but i have a question…”
its not like calling is going to die out
BYbychoiceMemberAs much as it has by anyone else!!! It just goes to to show, they are human!!
BYbychoiceMemberIs it working for everyone? Because for me it still isnt!!!!
BYbychoiceMemberI am not neceassarily saying boycott germany, I am first of all saying do other people mind? I mean i konw they make very good metal for knives…. but is that a reason to give them money? I am not saying that all the people in germany did something bad, just some did and feel it is a state of mentality! When i look at somehting made in germany i think, maybe this was made by somone who murderd my relatives, or hurt my family.
Yes of course we feel diffrent about germany in this generation! Mityzraim was htousands of times worse but we can only imagine that, we have actual physical “proof” in our hands, in our blood.
I personally would not feel to boycott places that didnt let in. i can see two point f views, one is that they didnt let my people in, hte other is that they didnt want to get in the middle of something. by letting in they are taking sides and that is putting their own people at risk.
BYbychoiceMemberthanks , but I mean really can anyone tell me weather or not they feel it is ok?
BYbychoiceMemberanikfra – I totally agree with you! there is way to much muser schmoozeing on the gender view then there are for the actual kedusha of the body!!!!
BYbychoiceMemberI also found out there are some really great heads this year!!!!!! and you cant get better directers then gettinger and eisgrau!!!! They really care about each and every camper!!!!!!!
BYbychoiceMemberI went to Maarava and found it to be a very exciting and well put together camp. I come from a small town so I met lots of diffrent people! The nurse changes every year but usually they are pretty nice and will help with what you need!
BYbychoiceMemberThis might sound weird but just might work. Right a letter or on a sticky not what picture where it is and what is in it, then leave it somewhere they will find it. I would suggest upside down(so noone will read it) on a kitchen counter or the sort. This way they will be aware and not be emberresed that you told them! good luck, and you are doing the right thing, put yourself in their shoes, you would probably want to be told 🙂
BYbychoiceMemberHow does a Jewish man propose?
He rents a 15 sitter and asks to help fill it up!
How many by girls does it take to change a light bulb?

BYbychoiceMemberWow, thanks so much for sharing, I really needed some perspective! After 3 days I went on with life, but it is good to be reminded that not everyones lives go back after something tragic like this! thanks again
BYbychoiceMemberNot to sound repedative, but make a doctors appoinment, you dont have to tell anyone why just say its your check up! IF all else fails, there is probably some kind of number you could call….
BYbychoiceMemberThat is a wake up call, thanks for sharing!!! and i agree with u on wolf, they do answer great!!!
BYbychoiceMemberI would NOT relay on the google translate for my hw it isnt always right, i checked!!!
BYbychoiceMemberHere is my question, doe any of these sefarim or rebbaim say that it is ok to make a chillul Hashem out of something that is supposed to be a mitzvah? Is it ok to teach children that you can do a mitzvah but change it to make it the way they want to do it?
BYbychoiceMemberDows anyone know which rav it was? I feel bad not saying?
BYbychoiceMemberBig deal- of course it was a dumb decision!!! When the girls hear the school reasoning… “Well it is ok for money, we need it”….. Then they will start to think it is good to rationilize, “well i meed to keep up with friends and FB is the easiest way…..”all down hill from there!
BYbychoiceMemberI think we everyone should face the basic details, people cant control people if people have facebook then obvoiusly they felt it was ok! Do people really think they can change opiones that easily?
BYbychoiceMemberLoyal jew- So are most foods! For one thing liquer…. And we use it for a miztvah!!!!:(
BYbychoiceMemberMiddlepath- i am not saying for sure but IF… And anyway think of it this way…. A number of years ago the style hung to two inches higher!amd as a precaution rabbaim said just know highest in future can be four below knee! They said it hinming there is no way it would bappen … YET IT DID! I a
Just saying if and when it happens are we really prepared?
BYbychoiceMemberHow can fashion be stopped? Think how bad it is now, can we really aford it in 20 years? Imagine….
BYbychoiceMemberYou can stop when you want, but it never husrts to conyinue!!!
BYbychoiceMemberWelcome to the real world!!!!! Nothing will be changing anytime soon!
BYbychoiceMemberNo problem! As long as people have in mind its fine!!! Its totally understandable people are busy and there are unfortunatly alot who need help with tefilla:( Just keep having in mind and I am sure she will be fine soon I’YH!!!
BYbychoiceMemberthinkfirst- right but there is also that posek i forgot the hebrew..”dont put a stubling blocl..” can not dressing fashionable b counted as that? I mean then they will think you have know idea about fashion, when in reality you do but are choosing not to show it!?
