my point was i dont know if it will be hard or relatively easy.

i’m hoping my previous knowledge will make this easier. since i know most of the meds, i’ll just have to focus on the doses and protocols

the course is 2 days, 5 hrs each day. its being offered through the hospital connected to my (former) nursing school. they are covering most of the fees, we only need to pay part of it. I reviewed basic Ekg’s and will go over the meds (epi, lidocaine, MgSO4, atropine, nitro etc.)

I don’t know who is teaching the course, i just know where it is happening. the previous group who took it most likely had a dif instructor.

we did not receive books/dvd’s before hand; we are required to take a pretest testing our knowledge of EKG recognition and meds commonly used. was ok, except for dosages. i know the meds that go to which rhythm most of the time but not dosages used for the algorithms.

    hoping for the best

right now? applying to schools, working on my RN resume (harder than it looks), crocheting a baby blanket, organizing paperwork, waiting for more paperwork to come through so i can submit more…

would love to be doing something a little more intellectually stimulating right now.

i dont hang out with guys first of all. i’m going based on school experience with the frum guys

personally i dont care if a guy wears cologne. i can’t tell one from the next. the thing that bugs me is guys who don’t shower enough or dont wear deoderant. YUCK. if a guy is clean, the cologne is a nice bonus. just dont wear too much of it.

i have an extreme dislike toward men wearing pink (hate is a strong word…) a navy tie with pink design is one thing, a pink tie is another. so is a pink shirt. really not so manly. and i have feministic views about the color pink (and my 5 year old sister says a blue dress is for boys so it must be genetic)

crazy socks are OK imho (my cousins like mismatched socks so i’m used to it), just as long as the pants fall normally and you dont see the ENTIRE sock. cuz thats just a major faux pas if your pants are too short. that and keeping your phone and wallet in 1 pocket. guys you have more than one pocket. distribute your stuff between them.

k i’ve got a question for the dudes. what do guys have against taking showers regularly?

2scents, some were about check orders, some were items, some were reports, docs, “check this out it may be useful” etc. wasnt one standard spam email.

syag, but i haven’t gotten any spam in the past few weeks! the last spam i got that missed the spam-box for gmail may have been similar to this one but not sure if from that cuz i marked it as spam even though was from a friend. can a virus like that lay dormant for a month? i caught onto it very quickly because i have my own info in my contacts-phone, other emails etc (and all my other emails forward to this one email) so saw just about when it started to happen. checking recent activity is simple in gmail. all the way at the bottom on the right hand side it says last account activity x minutes ago and below that it says details. click details and gives the last 10 IP addresses that logged in or used the account-mine were 3 bottom from IL but the top 7 were my Home IP. makes sense why was my main email and not the school/spares.

uneeq, so i changed the password to a new one that I never used before and is exclusive to my email. i had mcaffee running the entire time, and ran a scan after as well-nothing came up. i also checked my other accounts and nothing was wrong with them. i’m usually very good about spotting the spams-but i haven’t received one recently so not sure how it got it. i looked at the recent activity for my account and saw it did get hacked-IP address said was from Illinois.

I do have a spam email account that i use for random websites but ironically thats not the one that was spammed. my main email was spammed. quite embarrassed.

    ok yekke, here’s a riddle

a man with 3 sons dies. in his will, he leaves 17 horses to be divided between them. to the oldest, he leaves 1/2 the horses, to the second son 1/3 of the horses and to the youngest, 1/9th of the horses. no horses may be cut or sold. how are the horses divided up

actually wasnt so gross. i shook the blanket a few times so most of it came off then just dumped it in the washer. more annoying then disgusting really. i’m not a girly girl who shrieks at the site of bugs, snakes, blood etc.

(correction to my first post-it was a blanket that i washed, not a towel.)

my cousin with her not yet one year old swears by oxyclean. she soaks the clothes in it then washes as normal in the machine with detergent

for smelly towels add vinegar to the load and wash on HOT.

for whites, we use tide with bleach powder plus liquid bleach

brand name detergents make the difference, as does adding fabric softener such as downy to the load. also use bounce sheets in the dryer

for ironing, find a good dry cleaner

and today MY laundry drove me crazy! i washed a blanket and put it outside to dry in the sun (best way imho. smells yyyuuummmm) and when i went to bring it in i found some birdy used it as a bathroom. YUCK. had to wash a freshly cleaned towel ALL over again. dont worry, i used hot water and extra soap 🙂

in general, rimless are more expensive than regular frames. not sure of actual price range.

also keep in mind that high index lenses-high prescriptions may not fit in certain frames because the lenses are too thick. high index lenses are also more expensive as Oomis pointed out-cheapest i have found is 130ish at costo up to 415 in lens crafters. those prices are for the lens itself not including the cost of the frame. costo and BJ’s have the cheapest for highindex and frames. I’ve done some research cuz i wear high prescription and in desperate need of new glasses.
