i guess purjinke cells are the cells that make up the purjinke fibers which conduct electric impulses from the bundle branches that came from the AV node which came from the SA node

are purjunke cells related to the purjunke fibers of conduction in the heart?

don’t read books. some ppl in my family get carsick from vids, others don’t. B”H i am not prone to it but if i’m nauseated prior, i close my eyes and sleep if i’m not driving. fresh air also helps.

    +1. well written.

in the same thought, i stopped reading certain threads when i see certain tones/posts. other threads I’ve seen have ‘arguments’ that are so different. the posters disagree, they talk it out and its over! (i see this mostly in halacha based threads where 1 poster brings a proof/source and the other concedes). but the threads that dissolve into name calling and people bashing should be cleaned out/closed asap

somehow in my house i have to come up w. the theme and poem

last year we did a whole coffee break theme-coffee packets, coffee cake-cupcake, coffee candies and a small bag of coffee beans. smelled delish

one year we did “have a berry happy purim” with small berry crumbles and something else

one year we did around the year in mini’s-lady apples and a small jar of honey, choco coins and a dreidel, red jelly fish (mazal adar dagim), potato chips (pesach) and then something for shavuos.

even if nothing is done so to say with the poetry, it does a good job of expressing emotions and conveing feelings. i read this thread when i see new posts and i have to say this is probably the most moving thread in the entire CR. blabla, princesseagle, callmedave, puppy, and everyone else who has posted, i LOVE your writings. maybe one day i’ll post s/t i once wrote. but i feel its nothing compared to this stuff

i want a view finder b/c i’m old fashioned. also, your hands are more stable and less shaky held up to the face vs holding your hands further out. also, my father has at times used my camera and he finds it easier to use the view finder. the only time a person needs the lcd is if they are taking a pic of a slide under a microscope. then its nec to have the screen.

whatrutalkingabt, i think i looked into the 100hs at one point. do you know how it compares to other canon’s?

my father has the rebel T1i. i LOVE it. if the ti1 takes such good picks, cant imagine what the 60d takes

i gave up finding a camera a few months ago. reason? canon doesnt make their SD line with view finders anymore. and i dont like their A line cameras. love their rebel line though. esp with the extra battery pack holder with extra shutter button for easy vertical picture taking.

don’t get a nikon, they break too easily (sis broke 2 or 3 of them)

she has an olympus now. the one which is drop proof and water proof. so far so good bli ayin hara.

Donuts win hands down. So many more variations than latkes so here is a flavor for e/o. And u don’t need extra stuff to eat them. And because you only need one donut to be satisfied it’s better on the diet end of things. Plus being I’m the on who spent an hour and a half first night Chanukah frying latkes I would appreciate a custard donut 🙂

“what do you do in your free time?”

WHAT free time? oh u mean like when i have vacation? oh. i knit, crochet (i prefer the latter), read, organize hundreds of papers, practice piano, listen to music.

when i dont have free time, i have to multitask to get any hobbies done, like crochet w/ the books, listen to music while studying, reading my notes 🙂

sleep is a luxury. wish i had some

to the security guard at school who wished me happy holidays, i replied the same to him

when i emailed a nonjewish classmate who ended her reply with ‘have a happy hanukah”, i responded “happy holidays to you too”. my reason? not specifying they should have a happy 25th. i could be referring to new years as well. plus on the class mate not 100% sure if she’s jewish or not.

i just looked on magabus.com and ny doesnt seem to go to cleveland. first (and last) time i took megabus the bus broke down in indiana and it took 5 hours to send a replacement. then i left my phone on the bus. B”H the return trip was trouble free but i dont think i would take them again. would prefer to fly. spirit sounds like an option, but time constraints are the issue too….

goq, that’s the problem! i don’t know why i feel this way but i only feel like this towards this one mitzvah. B”H i have only happy memories of chanuka. i don’t know why i’m having such ambivalent feelings about lighting this year. when i went to sem and was boarding, i don’t think i lit bit when i went to my cousins in chicago for shabbos chanukah… oh great now i don’t remember if i lit there or not. but i remember in sem like it wasnt chanuka cuz i didn’t light. uuurrrrr now i feel like i’m going to start crying cuz i’m so frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!

oooookkkkk thanx e/o for the halacha class. not really what i had in mind…..

oneofmany, i can’t really explain it. i kinda always had a part of me that didnt want to light cuz i was minority of minority in my class that lit. this year, i don’t know. i feel like i would appreciate it more if i didn’t light. (side point, my younger siblings make it a contest who can sing better so it got trivialized in my house)

i told my father i didn’t want to light this year and he was fine w/ it.

whats wrong with getting together w/ family? my male cousins who are more yeshivish dont converse with the females other than their mother, sisters, wife, grandmother etc. the ones that are not as yeshivish talk to the females. and the males who are younger i don’t think even notice the difference! PU-LEASE poeple. if my cousin comes to say hi how ya doing, i’m gonna talk to him. naturally, am i going to spend more time w/ the cousins my age and gender? yes of course. but i don’t have to pretend men don’t exist.

have fun at your chanukah party and all works out in the end

my father ran a few dif. kosher establishments and one was a kosher bagel shop. at one point he decided to sell donuts as well and ordered from X bakery, not jewish but w/ a hechsher. imagine his surprise when he started getting deliveries. the box the donuts came in (12 per box) were sealed w/ one piece of tape, and there was no kosher symbol/hechsher on the box. the delivery driver handed him a roll of stickers w/ the kosher symbol that he (my father) place on the box himself. and how should my father know if the donuts were really the kosher ones?!?!?!?!?!?!?
