    ??? means nice

By the way what does Batsheva mean?

In a mishnah is zrayim I found bnos shevah to mean a type of fig, are peeople named after figs?

Why is the word even in Yeshivish communities pronounced Batsheva instead of Bas?

In case my post got lost here it is again

Rambam (Tshuvah 9,2) -The pleasure of Olam Habah NEVER ends

Nefesh Hachaim(4,10)The torah is the word of Hashem and it originates in the highest of worlds called ‘Ein Sof’ -without end

Nefesh Hachaim-The joint neshamos of Klal Yisroel originate and are more kadosh then the Kisei Hakavod. The neshama of every jew is bound and joined with a letter of the torah

Rambam- Hashem and his wisdom(torah) are one

Zoyhar- Yisroel, the Torah and Hashem are one (this isn’t literall)

So obviously ????? ??? ???? ????? ???? includes Yisroel and the Torah. If anyone wants to debate the eternal and infinite existence of the Torah and Yisroel I can bring all the proofs needed to prove this point which I believe is a fundamental aspect of our emunah.

(Haleivi-Actually I do horvve on aggadah for quite a bit of time every day)

If anyone claims that there is a purpose to overenjoyment in Olam Hazeh, I can bring proofs from any source you want that such a belief is pure garbage.

“Once one fulfills his requirement of tzedakah he can spend his money however he likes”

What planet do you come from? Don’t you know about all the suffering yidden out there? How can you spend so much on garbage when there are people going through yissurim every day? Besides the fact that one of the fundamentals of judaism is that we are only put in this world to prepare ourselves for the next world. How can you look at giving a tenth to tzeddakah as an obligation that needs to be discharged?

    Chicken crossing version 2.0

Why did the litvishe chicken cross the road?

Why shouldn’t it cross the road?

Why did the Chassidishe chicken cross the road?

That side was only for roosters.

Why did the conservative chicken cross the road?

It wanted to go off the derech.

Why did the Lubavitch chicken cross the road?

To be mekarev the conservative chicken.

I got an amzing app- powersefer. It has “HUNDREDS” of seforim in text form so you can copy, bookmark, highlight, leave notes, or search for keywords in any particular sefer or the entire library. They are also always adding more seforim. I downloaded tons of sforim and now I can carry a library with me that doesn’t even require internet.

The gemara discusses whether the torah is for klal yisroel or the reverse. The conclusion is that the purpose of the torah is for Yisroel. (I don’t claim to understand this but maybe it means that the reason for it being given to us is for our own benefit not that torah needs people to follow it)

The torah was never created!!!!!!!! It has always existed. Period.

The torah is the knowledge of Hashem, just as Hashem has always existed so has his torah. Arguing on this is a great lack of kavod hatorah and a complete misunderstanding of the greatness that the torah and those who learn it have.

Relating to the discussion about parent suggestions, I think that these days with so many people not following the exact hashkafos of their parents this can decrease the likelihood of a parent’s suggestion to be correct. Personally if my parents suggested a shiduch I would automatically not consider it.

I may have heard this from someone a long time ago but i think I just thought of it. The neiros of chanukah represent the ongoing attempts of the goyim to seperate us from our torah. Eventhough they are successful with many people, there is always a single “jug of oil” the members of klal yisroel that continue the transmission of torah. The neis is that eventhough this mesorah should have been extinguished long ago, the fickering ?? ????? lasts forever, until the arrival of new oil ????? ??????.

P.S. I’m curious if anyone knows a source for this.

Baal Habooze- I think it went well.

What about a sefer that asks kashas on the tirutzim that are given. I’ll start- the Satmar Rebbe answers that one day is in recognition of the fact that Hashem loves us that he makes nisim for us.

1)Why specifically for this neis do we require another day for this idea? What about purim?

2)Isn’t that always why we commemorate a neis?

Why isn’t there just one thread where people discuss issues relating to shiduchin? Does everyone want their question to recieve personal attention? Maybe a common thread would recieve more attention if everyone who wanted to discuss these matters just posted in one place.

I don’t think B”H and B”S are just lenient and strict. This is like saying that Hillel was a rabbi for a less observant congregation. I heard a deeper pshat that had something to do with hillel believing in being a realist, and following halacha at your level but shammai held that one should constantly aspire to higher levels. This is why Shammai would set aside food for shabbos during the week, aspiring for the kedusha of shabbos while Hillel would porposely rely on Hashem to provide the necessities for Shabbos in time. This follows the idea that we deal with what we have and trust Hashem on the rest. This is why when Mashiach comes the halacha will be like B”S since we will then be holding at that level he aspired to reach.

Frumnotyeshivish- the sforim are filled with convincing people to delve into proving to themselves the truth of torah and not to go through life as a blind person following another blind person …..until you finally reach one person at the front who is leading the whole line.If one person in the line stumbles the whole line behind him will follow.

Yisrael v’oraysah v’kudshah brich hu chad hu

The existence of the torah as well as (the nishamos of) klall yisrael are infinite and eternal just like Hashem. They are not dependant upon anything. The world was created for torah and yisrael. Saying that the torah will cease to exist at the end of time is seriously degrading kavod hatorah. Also, the Chovos Halivavos explains philosophically that anything that will always exist, has always existed. The torah is hashem and never was created. It may have been written in some form 2000 years before creation.
