Vayikrah is about the avodas hacohanim (toras kohanim) so it is called LEVIticus. Deuteronomy means some thing to do with a summary and regarding Eccle…. I agree with Baal Habooze.
WiseyParticipantWhile you are at it you might as well ask on the other pshatim in that midrash that 49/50ths or 499/500ths died. But it could be that they were at the 50th level of tumah which is the level which is considerd to have absolutely no chance of doing tshuvah. Otherwise it is very hard to understand how they did not want to leave mitzrayim. They must have been so entrenched in Egyptian culture that they preffered to remain as slaves than to leave. This is a much lower level than non-frum people nowadays. This may have give them the status of not being part of klal yisroel in which case their death is not a reason for mourn, similar to the halachah that there is no aveilus on an apikorus.
March 29, 2013 2:50 am at 2:50 am in reply to: The Longest Seder ContestHow Late Will Your Seder End? #1199608WiseyParticipantI finished the seder at 12:30 and then read through midrashim about yetzias mitzrayim until chatzos (1:30) to fulfill “kol hamarbeh lisaper”. I think that according to the shitah that the korbon pesach/afikoman can only be eaten until chatzos so too the mitzvah of sippur only goes until then (???? ??? ???…..) I was somech on this shitah and went to sleep afterwards in order to have energy to spend the next day learning.
WiseyParticipantMaybe the reason it says “??? ??? ???? ??? …” is to tell you that even if you have all these different types of children you should look at each one as an “???”. Each one of the 4 sons requires his own method of chinuch and special attention as if he is an only child.
WiseyParticipantA car that has sensors, cameras and everything needed so that you can just tell it where you want to go and it will safely get you there.
WiseyParticipantA while ago, on RC Adar some bachurim got a car into the Yeshivah’s lobby, I’m not sure how they managed that
WiseyParticipantPBA-
Shear the sheep and spin the wool into string.
Tie up the wolf.
Burn the leaves (you can get more leaves at the other side)
Use the cotton to make a sail for the boat
Tie the giraffe to the boat
Throw the apples across the river
Place the sheep and the wolf on the boat
Sit on the giraffe and send it and the boat across (it wont drown because it is very tall)
Lol.
WiseyParticipantIs it a string instument? ( I think that its a piano but I don’t want to use up a question )
WiseyParticipantIt seems that this q. Isn’t getting answered can team green please offer another question
WiseyParticipantDoes it have wheels?
WiseyParticipantAsk someone whom she respects to talk to her.
WiseyParticipantAurora- I didn’t know that Feif Un also started an advice column. I guess I should investigate more before asking a question. Try to answer Heilige’s question before team red, because I don’t know what Yossi is.
WiseyParticipantDoes it have legs?
WiseyParticipantSince a while has gone by without an answer I will replace the question; Who began an advice column? (come on guys this is an easy one)
P.S. Zeeskite started “The Chill Room” a year ago
WiseyParticipantBreindy since each team has two people, just choose a team and publicize your choice so that we can keep track of you
WiseyParticipantI think it’s a chair but I don’t want to use up any of the twenty questions so
” Is it a household object?”

WiseyParticipantOh I forgot to say that if a question goes unanswered for a day it gets replaced
First question – Who started the “Chill Room”
WiseyParticipantIt seems that the game is taking forever to start so I will make the rules clear and ask the first question.
Rule 1) There is no judge
2) Each team in turn asks the other two teams a question
3) First team to answer gets a point
4) The topic for all qs is CR trivia (this seems the most reasonable, since any other topic would be unfair to some players)(I’m considering limiting it down to this forum since some of us don’t post on the “Recipes” or “Bais Medrash” etc. forums)
5) Order of asking is Blue, Red, Green.
6) All q’s must be asked between 6-7 o’clock so that everyone will know when to expect a Q and have an opportunity to answer first
7) New players are always welcome but they must first declare themseves and the team they wish to join.
8) A new player should join the team with the least players.
9) Blue- Wisey, Aurora
Red- Blueprints, Crdle
Green- Heilige, Frummy
WiseyParticipantIs it metal?
Is it colorful? (3 or more colors)
WiseyParticipantThese qs are trivia not riddles
WiseyParticipantDoes it use electricity?
WiseyParticipantThanks golfer
WiseyParticipantIf you say few words in Hebrew or Yiddish and someone says “you speak Hebrew” you answer – “no that was Japanese”
WiseyParticipantIs it manmade? (or womanmade for all the feminists out there)
WiseyParticipantPhew!! So at least it’s not my fault that I can’t work this thing.
Is anyone going to be fixing it?
WiseyParticipantSo whos gonna ask the first q? Do we have a judge? Are we waiting for more players
WiseyParticipantI googled rss and it just tells me what it means but when I press the” rss feed ” at the bottom of the page nothing happens, how do i select anything to be included in my rss.
WiseyParticipant?? ????? ????
WiseyParticipantThe nes of Chanukah is that eventhough in every generation the goyim try to extinguish our mesorah of torah shebaal peh, there is always a single jug of oil that they can’t get their hands on. The nes is that this jug keeps the menorah burning with the ?? ????? forever. So in a time of the year when the night is long and it seems that the golus isn’t going to end we thank Hashem that ?? ?? ???? ????? ????
WiseyParticipantDear PBA
I am only twenty years old and not interested in dating. What should I do if when I offer my opinions on certain matters people think that I am interested in a shidduch for myself?
WiseyParticipantI don’t think that anyone remembers anything maybe you should just start a new one
WiseyParticipantBump
WiseyParticipantDear PBA
WiseyParticipantWhat about Tefillin? I recently put on tefillin on an Air Canada flight under my coat. I probably looked strange wearing a coat with a hood, like an eskimo, on a plane but it would have been worse if I had put black boxes on my head and arm. Maybe I’m a terrorist.
December 26, 2012 3:48 am at 3:48 am in reply to: Continuous storylet's see how far we get! #952446WiseyParticipantwas a giant coconut. (See the other continued story)
WiseyParticipantThe torah uses base ten. Twenty, Thirty, Hundred, Thousand etc.
WiseyParticipantMine is the thread I started called “Best CR posts”
WiseyParticipantWhat’s an ugg?
WiseyParticipantMaybe every week learn a siman of Mishnah Berurah and follow the halachos it says there. After you keep every halacha you can start chasing all the chumros you want
WiseyParticipantAurora- Probably many of the questions will be related to judaism, but I welcome anyone to team blue. Hop on!
WiseyParticipantThey didn’t have a “single gender” trip this winter because of not enough people. They may have other years or maybe the single gender ones are only in the summer.
December 25, 2012 3:53 am at 3:53 am in reply to: HELP!!! How do I make a shidduch resume?!?!?! #915188WiseyParticipantMaybe I’m wrong but it seems that must of the shidduch q’s are the same; resumes, what to look for, saying no, saying yes.
WiseyParticipantMaybe the ness of the first day is that it is possible to spend so much time on a single kasha. This is the same idea as the rest of the days that a single jug of oil produces so much ?? ?????.
WiseyParticipantFrummy: I think you should repost your Q I can’t find it either
WiseyParticipantI thought that this new idea of gathering all the shidduch questions into one discussion for everyone to answer would be such a good idea, where is everyone?
WiseyParticipantButtercrown: The question of bechirah is actually one that the Rambam and other Gedolim deal with. Let’s say that Hashem already knows today that I will eat a cheeseburger tomorrow, then when I wake up the next day i don’t have bechirah. I think this might be one of the matters which are not understandable by the human mind because it’s like Hashem knows tomorrow and then goes back in time and knows today. I think this discussion should be posted on the ‘Philosophical Qs’ thread.
WiseyParticipant????? ??? ?????
