I just don’t get why YWN isn’t talking about this drama and the issues involved. I haven’t seen a single (non-sponsored) article on the WZO elections
WiseyParticipantYay! He did it!
WiseyParticipantIf Bloomberg is gone by 2024 who will take down the hard-core anti-Semitic radical Democrats?
February 16, 2020 12:16 pm at 12:16 pm in reply to: Why hasn’t the frumvelt embraced democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang #1832151WiseyParticipantIt’s pashut that with antisemitism rising we’ll all end up in EY soon (as Moshiach approaches) and the primary focus should be on which candidate is good for EY (Trump or Bloomberg). I think Bloomberg will win, causing a rise in white supremacy antisemitism forcing us to leave the US as part of Hashem’s larger plan. (Of course this is just guesswork, due to lack of niviim and ruach hakodesh)
WiseyParticipantI left a message on Halachah Headlines asking R’ Dovid to interview some of the people running to publicize it. If other people call in, he’ll take it more seriously.
WiseyParticipantTry Zivug Zone (it has a haskamah) and JWed
WiseyParticipantIts because of that logic that I am careful to speak lashon hora in my sukkah. lol
September 7, 2016 3:34 am at 3:34 am in reply to: Return policy difference based on where you live. #1178051WiseyParticipantSome Jews are cheap/smart so instead of renting they buy and return for free. Companies may know this and disallow it in Jewish areas
April 27, 2016 7:42 pm at 7:42 pm in reply to: guest for yom tov brings chametzdik cake, puts it on the table #1150041WiseyParticipantyou probably don’t have in mind to be koneh it anyways so you aren’t doing anything wrong now. I don’t think zochin liodom shelo bifanav or kinyan chazter would work with chametz on pesach if you have no intention of taking it. You can just save it until after pesach and make a kinyan then. However, your guest is probably jewish since you can’t invite a non-jew on yom tov so it is chametz sheovar alav hapesach and will be assur to you afterwards anyways. Also, you may have a responsibility to stop the other jew from owning chametz, but maybe the act of giving it away qualifies as a bittul. can you think of an excuse to refuse the gift? Maybe someone is the family is gluten-free or allergic to something in the chametz.
WiseyParticipantIt seems that no one knows what I’m talking about.
WiseyParticipantI think unless mentioned otherwise by the author of the post it can be assumed that the couple didn’t marry or else the punchline would have been mentioned.

WiseyParticipantIf a security drone detects and records movement you will be frozen in the street unable to move without turning on a camera
WiseyParticipantI have still never seen an ad for an adblocker
August 26, 2015 5:55 pm at 5:55 pm in reply to: Orthodox & Mormon Shidduch Crisis comparison – Time Magazine #1098012WiseyParticipantAkuperma:
Example
9 men 10 women
9 couples
Each couple 5 children
Population increases by 250% and still 10% women unmarried
Scenario repeats itself
WiseyParticipantMy complaint is that this was supposed to be my summer vacation. I don’t regret going though since it was more fun than work.
WiseyParticipantMimanifshach if you are trying to take only the fly that is psoless meochel and if you want liquid too then that is bkli.
On second thought, if you are taking some of the liquid with it then it is ochel mitoch ochel, soup from soup which isn’t even considered separating and is muttar irregardless of the method performed. But since that liquid itself may now be disgusting and discarded that liquid itself should be considered psoless.
WiseyParticipantHe is also compared to Chatzir Yavesh (dead grass) so he is kosher as schach. This way he can at least lie on top of the sukkah for the women inside to get schar. (Pottery though is passel schach so I think he must lie there until Eliyahu comes to resolve whether he is kosher or not.)
WiseyParticipantI davened long and someone came to me after and rebuked me loudly about the fact that Hashem is above nature and doesn’t need us to talk slowly for him to understand just like he was able to say all the aseress hadibros at once. I think he is a bit crazy.
July 21, 2015 4:37 pm at 4:37 pm in reply to: Billam's Other Prophecy: The Deir Alla Inscription #1092415WiseyParticipantIt sounds like Bilaam did tshuvah so why did they kill him?

WiseyParticipantIsn’t it obvious that PBA was just trolling (or joking) when he started this thread? Every half-brained person knows that middos are critical, if not the most critical factor. The moshol of the car makes it even more ridiculous. (From my experience I think that PBA has at least half a brain)
WiseyParticipantLists. For me that’s the only way.

WiseyParticipantI once bought the cheapest (but nice) flowers in the store for my host. After shabbos the baal habayis said to me, “Those were beautiful flowers. How did you know which ones to choose? Those are the ones I buy for my wife every shabbos!”
(Since he said it seriously I think that he must have made a mistake)
WiseyParticipantThere should be a thread for updating all devening names.
WiseyParticipantSo let’s talk about death and pain.
WiseyParticipantIsn’t the whole point of this coffee room to take a break from news and drink coffee.
July 7, 2015 12:02 am at 12:02 am in reply to: Is it socially responsible to repel mosquitoes? #1090617WiseyParticipantWhy don’t the animal rights activists care about insects? Is this proof of misplaced priorities?
Mosquito repellant should be banned. Donating blood saves one life but witholding use of insect spray enables the birth of hundreds of living creatures.
WiseyParticipantSam2 spends 6 hours a day on Bar Ilan, dresses in non-black and white, is considered a rabbi and a talmid of R’ Shachter.
Oomis had at least one son in Landers and respects it greatly.
WiseyParticipantBoth of these statements are false. Therefore they are illogical.
June 26, 2015 3:36 am at 3:36 am in reply to: What Kind of Thread Were You Thinking of Starting… #1088622WiseyParticipantOne about paradoxes.
This statement is false
Shchitah is a milochoh
Shchitah of a michalel shabbos is treif
A milochoh must be a constructive act.
(Don’t worry Rishonim solve this)
June 26, 2015 2:53 am at 2:53 am in reply to: What Kind of Thread Were You Thinking of Starting… #1088621WiseyParticipantI start whatever thread I think of so I have nothing to put here. (Unless there is already a thread like my idea)
YZ
WiseyParticipantNot sure what this thread is about but now that I just posted it’ll be on top.
WiseyParticipantMaybe it depends alot on the time of day. I’ve been on buses at night that were close to empty. It could be a relaxing way to spend time without having to keep an eye on the road all the time.
WiseyParticipantIf you can’t find one to borrow every time is renting cheaper?
WiseyParticipantWhat about driving, bus/train, taxi, car service? Date number
June 23, 2015 3:15 am at 3:15 am in reply to: What Kind of Thread Were You Thinking of Starting… #1088615WiseyParticipantThis one.
WiseyParticipantPractice makes perfect. Nobody is perfect. Therefore nobody practices.
WiseyParticipantShir Hashirim? But that is usually ????
WiseyParticipantOr just get male cats. Hope that noone in the house is allegic.
April 13, 2015 2:55 pm at 2:55 pm in reply to: Why it Takes Some People a Year or Two To Comment on a Thread #1215852WiseyParticipantSometimes I get bored of the current threads or I have nothing to say on the topic so I dig up something else.
WiseyParticipantJoseph: I think that the logic is that the mitzvah of maztah and the requirement to koveah seudah on it instead of chametz gives it a higher status as bread and therefore befitting a hamotzi.
The creation of minhagim is based on logic, it’s only the abolishment of a minhag which cannot be done using logic since once a minhag is established it becomes part of halachah (depending on the level and widespread acceptance of the minhag) like a takanas chazal and must be followed irregardless of whether the reason still applies.
WiseyParticipantSince no other thread is mentioned the implication is itself especially since the word “The” is used which means something specifically identified. However, the title might be referring to all titles of threads as a general rule.
I think that I have just finally uncovered the depth of this complex thread and resolved its mysterious paradoxical nature.
WiseyParticipantAfter all the waiting you’ve been through can’t you sympathize with the people going through it now.
WiseyParticipantNot to insult anyone but the first rhyme may sound like we are praising the cow for doing no work and that laziness can purify us.
WiseyParticipantUnless you say that since the title is describing the title it obviously isn’t the title. If so, the thread has no title. Since titles are usually the subject of the thread, no title=no subject. But since there is no title then the title isn’t describing anything ergo it must be the title itself. So the thread does have a subject… etc. vichulei ad infinitum.
WiseyParticipantno it doesn’t
WiseyParticipantSaying “I think therefore I know that I am” can be mashma that it is a davar pashut that I am but the ability to know this is only because I can think.
WiseyParticipantCarry an egg in your pocket all day or keep a squawking chicken in your kitchen. Should be a good reminder.
WiseyParticipantAll the mods have to do bidikah at the right time so no one can stay to check posts. Unless one of them goes on vacation to Eretz Yisroel for pesach and doesn’t mind working until 3 AM the night before the seder.
(Going to LA for example would solve this issue though)
WiseyParticipantI see the Rambam’s shitah lihokil in hilchos tumass mess 1-13 but where is the Ravad machmir?
