    I hope I don’t offend anyone by posting here, but I was gathering some information about this horrible tragedy to pass onto my congregation. Would someone please be so kind to explain this?

    Gila bas Frances (wife)

    Tziporah bas Gila (daughter)

    I am unable to find the meaning of “Gila bas” and “bas Gila.” I would greatly appreciate anyone who could help me.
