That is seriously messed up! I hope the Shadchan gives the boy a sharp talking to!
WIYMemberSam2
Why cant you say his name?
WIYMemberIm surprised there arent more members posting.
WIYMemberWolf
You were obviously being satirical like your talking during leining (as you are a baal koreh) talking to girls (your family) and similar cases. I really dont understand your apology and I think its another one of your “funny” jokes.
WIYMemberToi
I blame YWN for posting this story without permission of the Rav and without writing his reasoning. I notice a trend of YWN posting stories that paint Rabbanim in a negative ligh and allowing very callous and chutzpadik remarks against Rabbanim. I dont know what has happened to YWN but its not the same as it used to be.

Can you please post my megillah? It is an exact cut and paste of question 123 from
http://halachafortoday.com/questions-answers/qa3/
I didnt add any of my own words so please post and add it as the last post on this page if you can.
Thank you.

How do you tiger something? Does it require roaring?
WIYMember“Bas Ploni l’Ploni” I think we have a Raaya that a boy can marry a girl whose father has the same name as he does.
WIYMemberWIYMemberYknow like and whatever are annoying fillers. So is um (um um um) lol.
I think the can i ask you a question is a polite way of preparing you. I think people usually do it when the question is random or from left field and has nothing to do with what you were talking about. It may be unnecessary but its not really bothersome and I think its a polite thing to do.

Wow incredible! I wonder if he would still say this bezman hazeh?
WIYMemberI love the originality Popa.
WIYMemberIced
You have a source for this Gaon?
WIYMemberCuriosity
Thanks I had the mods remove my comment.
WIYMemberPopa
A smart way to do it in general with all prohibitions is to try and provide a permissible alternative. So say we cant use X toy because it is muktza because it has batteries and we cant use muktza toys on Shabbos but we can play with this “Z” toy which isnt muktza and is a lot of fun.
WIYMemberHow many girls today would be maskim to such a deal? (maybe a few desperate ones with really low self esteem who you will probably end up hating anyways.)
WIYMemberShein
I think theres a huge difference between an 11 year old boy and a 15 year old boy.
The Torah considers a 13 year old a bar das. The 15 year old should have asked for help instead of destroying a 6 year old girls life. If he had taken a gun and shot her through the eyes you would have no problem viewing him as a monster. Well what he did is beastly and monstrous.
I have no idea if he was molested as a child, but even if he was he should have gone for help I have no pity left for someone who ruins an innocent childs life the way this boy did. If he was 11 maybe I would have pity but I dont pity a 15 year old boy who does such a thing.
WIYMemberPopa
Monster or not he is 15 and raped a 6 year old girl. Call him what you want but obviously he cant control himself. If she was your sister you would call him a lot worse than monster but since it didnt happen to your family or anyone you know it doesnt upset you that much. Yehuda Tzvi is actively involved in this thing and as he said had to console the girls father. Why should anyone give a darn what you think of him.
I for one think very highly of him and commend him for trying so hard to do whats right. If more people were like him thered be less problems in our society.
WIYMemberIt may be time to revisit this thread

Doing what Hashem wants a Jew to do is a Kiddush Hashem. Doing what He doesnt want you to do is a chillul Hashem. Very simple, singing a non Jewish pritzusdig love song in public in front of millions of people is a chillul Hashem. I am not saying the boy is a not nice kid or has bad middos. But that doesnt take away from the fact that he either knowingly or unknowingly due to bad education and guidance committed a big chillul Hashem.
WIYMemberworking harder
So definitely anywhere from about the middle of the adams apple is already a problem. Basically it doesnt sound like a good idea to get involved with a razor because its very easy to go too far…
WIYMemberIm a fan of a like button (as well as it saying who liked it).
I dont find the word like that funny sorry.
WIYMemberGoq
This is funny and sad at the same time. Not everybody has basic manners.
WIYMemberI have a whole bunch (that I paid for) that I got from Aish Audio from various Rabbanim like Rabbi Noach Orlowek, Rabbi Yitchak Kirzner zatzal and Rabbi Yitchok Berkowitz. This is the first time I listened to a shiur from Rav Kirzner and I must say that I think his shiurim are fantastic. He is a great speaker and his shiurim have “meat” so to speak. High quality content.
WIYMemberyichusdik
Malachim technically also have free will however it is almost as if they dont because they are in the presence of Hashem so it makes it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT almost impossible to rebel when Hashem is in your face so to speak.
However there are malachim that have rebelled like Shemchazzoi and Azael who had fallen from heaven in the days of the generation of Enosh.
WIYMemberapushatayid
We look at the totality of whats involved we dont break it up and say well that part was a kiddush Hashem and that part wasn’t and therefore as a whole it was not a Kiddush Hashem. Kiddush Hashem is not defined by how the non Jews treat us. Kiddush Hashem is living the way Hashem wants us to live al pi Torah.
yichusdik
Apples and oranges and abundant chutzpah comparing this kid singing pritzusdig songs to Yehuda and Tamar. Whats wrong with you?!
WIYMemberICOT
Thanks you saved me from tuning on the flames.
I dont know why people think its mutar to steal from non Jews but its not mutar this has nothing to do with dina dmalchusa.
WIYMemberThere are ways of stopping molesters via chemical castration and although it is extreme it should be used to protect innocent kids. I see no other way.
WIYMemberRebRY
Unfortunately a lot of frum people are uneducated and are very stupid about these types of things. I have overheard quite a few adults over 50 say stupid things like “whats the big deal” so what that he touched a kid there…
In situations where there was no intercourse I think a lot of people dont comprehend that it is enough to ruin a kids life.
They also think that what was done is done why ruin a mans life and destroy his family. The res a lot involved.
WIYMemberYichusdik
Am yisroel doesnt need him singing inappropriate songs. In Judaism theres no such thing as the ends justify the means. You cant do a small aveira so that a big mitzvah will come out of it. Hashem doesnt want mitzvos habah beaveira.
WIYMemberFeif Un
Does the last song he sang represent his values?
You call that a kiddush Hashem?! What on earth are you talking about?!
WIYMemberIt is certainly worthwhile to watch Rav Wachsmans Drasha again. Really a spectacularly powerful drasha.
WIYMemberI would tell you to call Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser.
Rabbi Goldwasser can be reached at:

WIYMembermorning19
So what annoys you, the fact that you cant read the shmutz anymore without paying for it first? Or that some Jews actually care about what they look at? Or does both annoy you?
WIYMemberyichusdik
I love how everyone decides what a chillul Hashem is based on what they are comfortable with. I really dont think it takes rocket science to realize that a Jewish boy and certainly (al achas kamma vckamma) a “frum” one doesnt belong on TV and in a singing competition. Singing the song he sang is certainly a chillul Hashem and you see that things are on a slippery slope already. This kid is headed off the derech and his parents will be to blame.
I sincerely hope he is out of the competition after this round.
WIYMemberWow Im thrilled to hear this. This must be recent because i was there a few weeks back and this wasnt yet implemented at that time.

Dying al kiddush Hashem is much easier (in comparison) than living your whole life al kiddush Hashem. It just takes one moment of strength to die al kiddush Hashem.
WIYMemberI am not looking to debate the issue but I think the show comes off as glorifying the cool guy and making “frum” people look stupid and extreme. It doesn’t give off a positive message.

Yes I got K9 and have someone who works for http://www.guardyoureyes.com/index.php to connect to my pc with team viewer and to create the password. If I ever need to change something, block or unblock something…I email him, he is generally available to help me within a few hours of when I email him.

WIYMemberIt bothers me too when I see peoples kids without a yarmulka but instead of screaming at the parents you can nicely tell the kid to put on his yarmulka.
You should know when I see Jewish kids fighting or doing something wrong, I often go over and tell them in a very friendly non threatening tone of voice that “Jewish kids or (Yiddishe kiderlach if they are chassidish) dont act this way” they usually get the message.
WIYMemberUnfortunately there was tons of background politics (the yetzer hora at work) that severely crippled the asifa and ruined an occasion that really could have been much more of a success. I dont view it as a failure chas veshalom but its a small success when it could have been a smashing success.
At the end of the day what was accomplished is awareness and by now most people know how to go about getting a filter although I do think there should have been more of a push to get info to every shul about filter options.
WIYMembercoffee addict
I have often heard that living al Kiddush Hashem is much bigger and that is truly the ultimate sacrifice. Hashem does not want dead Jews or beaten up Jews. The idea is to be moser nefesh in our observance without it coming to such horrific stories chas veshalom. Hopefully this boy will one day find Torah and be zoche to live like a proud Jew should.

Its disgraceful to use the word Nazi as though its a slang term. You cheapen the word.
WIYMembercb3
If your comment is true then this whole episode is one huge hefty stinking chillul Hashem.

Go with what Haleivi said. You can always thank Hashem (G-d) and speak to Him in your own words any time of day. So if you feel appreciative that you have a pet you may certainly thank Him for giving you this pet and all the benefits that you accrued from it.
WIYMemberSidi
Im sure you are a huge donor and thats why this questionable waste of a few dollars a year bothers you.
