Right that’s what I’ve been telling myself. I hope I’m right.
WIYMemberTorah
You sound like a perfectionist.
WIYMemberWhere’s sam when you need him?
WIYMemberLoca
It probably depends how much tuition you pay.

I know. I tend to do it at night and only when I’m stuck and pressed for time. Its not because I’m cheap to pay the muni meter.

If its so loud that its truly bothering a few people not just the guy standing next to him then maybe its an issue. If you really can’t focus maybe have the gabbai or another older person speak to him. However in my experience the noise distracting me is not the loud Daveners but rather the kfitzas haderchniks who start shmoozing the second they finish Shemoneh esrei.

“I’m sure he’s a major talmid chochom. I’m equally sure that he isn’t a ba’al mofes and wouldn’t like to be portrayed as such.”
I certainly think there is major Hashgocha pratis involved in that Hashem wanted to show the class the Koach Hatorah and that Hashem listens to Tefillos and He brought it about through this story. Nobody is saying that this Rebbe can control the weather at whim. If anyone thinks so they need mental help.
WIYMemberYou could write about the importance of doing your own research and hard work. Lol.

DIS transl8 it thingy iz so darn kewl
WIYMemberU jst hrd dis now for d frst tyme?
Popa its catchy lol but I think I need some work lol
WIYMemberDaMoshe
We don’t know the koach of Torah, or tefillah. But this Rebbe obviously does!
WIYMemberTorah
Also true. Positive is boring. You dont sell movie tickets with positive.

The following will work guaranteed. Buy smelling salts and wave it under their noses for a second or 2 they will be up in no time flat!
WIYMemberTorah
“In my family, it’s the kid’s responsibility to get up. So my parents wake us up once or twice, after that we suffer the consequences. There’s really no point nagging about it.”
Will only work if the school is tough on lateness. Not all Yeshivas are so for boys this wouldnt be such an eitza.

“And I won’t let my sons marry girls who don’t dress up on Purim.”
Does the Shadchan know this?
WIYMemberThey are called feet of snow because of all the foot prints in them.

Thats an interesting question!

Poor grammar makes one sound uneducated and quite stupid. It can also lead to people misunderstanding what you are saying. Additionally it becomes a habit and can cause you problems down the road if you ever want to go to college or ever have to write anything that sounds coherent.
WIYMemberDoes anyone know if the Hechsher ??? ??? ???????? or ?????? ?????/?????? are good Hechsheirim? They are on some of the Kinder chocolates.

You want people to stop reading your posts?
WIYMemberPopa
Purim is supposed to be venahapoch hu :-p
WIYMemberBased on what you were able to read in the news about recent events coming out of Williamsburg why would they think Chassidim are good people. If you want them to change how they view Jews then Jews can’t break laws and do evil violent things that make it to the media. Its very easy to get a bad reputation and a lot of work to get a good one or to change peoples minds.
WIYMemberVeltz mezhuggener
That’s why most lawyers are in gehinnom for longer than other people sometimes over 100 years. They punish them according to the amount of hours they billed lol.
WIYMemberMHY
I use both pronunciations. The way I pronounce is depending on how I am using the word. If I am talking about food I would usually say a heimish (haymish) bakery or the food tastes heimish…But if I am talking about a person its almost always heimish (high-mish). Although sometimes I would say don’t make yourself heimish overhere…in the haymish accent. Not sure if this is something others do or not but I do this lol.
WIYMemberThepurple
If you still want dairy carrot muffins I know they sell delicious carrot cheese(cake) muffins. Many kosher stores have it in the fridge in the section with the cheese cakes.

Try not to trivialize the murder of 6,000,000 kedoshim by appending the term nazi where it has no place and isn’t discussing the Holocaust. I know its very in vogue to do so but really any Jew and any sensitive person should refrain.
February 12, 2013 1:18 am at 1:18 am in reply to: Recommendations for a Good Pair of Men's Boots #929244WIYMemberBeni
Who makes the boots you are referring to?
February 12, 2013 12:28 am at 12:28 am in reply to: Recommendations for a Good Pair of Men's Boots #929242WIYMemberOk so here goes.
My concern with Timberlands is that they may be too heavy I need something light weight.
Lands end is too sporty.
Overshoes only work in shallow snow and I dislike those rubber boot overshoes where you have to be a strongman to get them off…
Wellington is a type of boot not a brand but thanks for the idea. Definitely up my alley in what I am looking for.
Neos looks interesting but I hope they are easy too get off or else they aren’t for me.
Everyone, thanks for being so helpful.
WIYMemberrebdoniel
Why would you use a dairy meat substitute instead of meat?!

WIYMemberHeimish has multiple meanings depending on the context.
February 11, 2013 8:03 pm at 8:03 pm in reply to: Should Proper Grammar Be Required in the CR? #929443WIYMemberI think that text speak should be limited to one poster and we all know who she is. This place would be a real headache if half the posters typed in text speak.
