Cute
WIYMemberLife is like a burnt burrito.
WIYMemberHow about instead of labeling it Jewish and not Jewish try labeling it neshama music and not neshama music, makes it a bit easier to figure out what belongs where. Or music that brings you closer to Hashem and makes you feel closer to Hashem vs music that doesn’t or chas veshalom takes you away.
WIYMemberTheres no nechama necessary. Stop catastrophizing. Girls just have a tendency to emotionalize things and be dramatic and make a lot of noise. I think for every older single girl theres an older single guy out there but they dont make so much noise so you think theres no older guys problem. Take a look at the mens section in any shul on Shabbos and you will see plenty of older boys.

1. Making fun of this isnt funny. I urge you to watch some google clips about how they live there.
2. They need bottled water more than cottage cheese.

WIYMemberIm talking about the shopping carts at KRM. The top part is quite small.

You learn a lot of Hashkafah and mussar from basic chumash Rashi. Ever try it?
WIYMembertrust
Theres a difference between asking someone to hold something and using their body as a receptacle for your paper goods and nosh!
Avram in MD
The difference is that when Hashem tells you to do something to your child you don’t have to ask. But technically they are correct you cant do what you want to your child. Its not your possession.
WIYMemberAvram in MD
Baby was wearing a coat or snowsuit type of thing. Probably not all that comfy hence the crying…
Trust
Your baby or older child is not your property. If the child is too young to be asked permission then don’t do it. A baby is a person! Your children don’t belong to you as a possession.

Nope. Sometimes it just happens.
WIYMemberTO CLARIFY
The baby was not in any seat just lying across the width of the top small section of the shopping cart (now that I think of it its probably not so safe either.)
She put stuff on the baby (directly on the baby not next to) who happened to be awake because she had no room in the overflowing cart that she had already filled up. I dont think the baby was distressed by the weight of it I really have no way of knowing that but I think its degrading to a human and specifically your own child to treat them this way. I expect more from any mother but definitely a Jewish mother should respect the dignity of her child. Maybe some people don’t look at babies as humans and therefore don’t take their dignity into consideration.

WIYMemberRF
Btw did you ever learn Nefesh Hachaim? If not it is required learning.
WIYMemberapushatayid
Its about the baby and how some people treat theirs.
WIYMemberSaysMe
Next to isn’t on. In a busy supermarket when the kid starts screaming I also think it is proper to attend to the baby right away.
WIYMemberThe baby shouldnt be in the cart in the first place.
WIYMemberGoq
It didnt help that I saw that she was also being neglectful when the baby started crying. Looking at yogurt is more important than a crying baby.
WIYMemberGoq
Good point. I dont know it would have been snide probably.
LF
It was food items. Nosh also…
WIYMemberAnyone?

If you never learned chumash Rashi I recommend you go through as much as you can from Bereishis straight through to Vezos Habracha. Its yesodosdika nd many people never really get a good handle on chumash Rashi which is the basics!
WIYMemberSemi-retarded.

WIYMemberYou can’t compare what these people are doing to the original fight against zionism. These people don’t even know what they are protesting. There are no real zionists left alive so you can’t have an real anti zionists.

If you have an opportunity learn any of the Maharals seforim but I recommend learning with an advanced chavrusa or Rebbe.
I’m with you on learning alei shur and the Mesiras Shalom. Both great choices although quite different.
WIYMemberSounds like a good way to put ketchup to use. Thanks for the recipe.
WIYMemberIs this the chiddushim of Rav David Soloveitchik? If not who’s chiddushim is this? Thanks.

Starting mass panic and convincing people there’s a age gap crisis is helping who exactly? That’s the problem when you start a panic and don’t solve it. Now people still think it’s true and you have done nothing to help the situation. So people are now living with unnecessary anxiety. That’s cruel in my book.
WIYMemberRebyid
They don’t actually put their heads in the sand. Google it to find out how that myth started.

Its a cult. There are many intelligent people who get sucked in to cults. Read up on how cults such people in you’ll understand. One large part of their success is that they work on your emotions and there are certain ways to get smart people to do dumb things and that is to hijack them via their emotions. You have to understand the frame of mind and life situation of people that get drawn to cults. By and large happy and healthy people do not get pulled in. Its people who have serious issues in their private lives that fall for these things. They are trying to fill a need.

I’m just sick and tired of the way everyone is so focused on the post and aiming all this useless energy at them.
Are they anti semitic? Probably.
Do they care that we are upset? No they are happy because that means that it was a good headline. If nobody gets moved by it it’s a dull headline.
Will they apologize? No! This is how they operate they get dirt on somebody and then post sensational headlines to draw shoppers attention to buy their paper. They cater to the lowest common denominator in society. So if you are a frum person and buy the post then it includes you.
I’m just wondering when was the last time the community got this upset that chas veshalom a child was molested or that chas veshalom someone was oiver on lo signov or some other issur? We aren’t even upset about the actual story just how it was printed! Shame on us! Where’s the editorials about this? Why aren’t all the speakers shraying chay vekayom about the rampant dishonesty in our communities? Why don’t the Rabbonim come out publicly and say if your money ain’t Kosher we don’t want it? I’m just so sick and tired of all the chillul Hashem. If we don’t break the law they won’t have juicy stories to write about us. So how about we stop giving them and the NY slimes and other similar publications fodder?
