“Also, I’d go to the beach, but I’m sure you kofrim already do that.”
Whoa buddy!!!
WIYMemberI just got off the phone with Greenfields office. I would recommend some other people call in and put some lachatz. Im sick of us Brooklynites being treated like second class citizens by the mayors office!

WIYMemberThat red stuff resembling cetchup started coming out of them.
WIYMemberWould you eat a troll on a roll at the superbowl?
WIYMemberNo.
WIYMemberThat someone put ketchup instead of sugar in their coffee.

“just reminding everyone of the Mishnah in Megillah which says ‘Ain bein adar rishon l’adar sheni, chutz mikrias megillah…'”
I’ll drink to that!

The gemara brings a story to prove the point under discussion. That doesn’t limit the story and what can be learnt out of it. However the way it works is that the story has a very specific purpose and that is to prove the statement that was said previously in the gemara. Its like if you have a discussion with your husband and say Ill prove my point with the following story, there was this guy in the coffeeroom….and one part of that story will prove your point even though there can be many other observations from the story.

Hi hope all is well.

No. Positive. Check first mishna in kerisos to see what is chayyiv kareis. However I did hearthat any pain one causes their parents Hashem will pay back in kind via their their own children so if you gave your parents a run for their money prepare to have the the same.
WIYMemberPopa
Does that work?
WIYMemberBeing Real
I think this is something that started many years ago with the post Holocaust generation trying to spoil their kids to overcompensate for how they were treated. I think its a domino effect and each successive generation does it more than the previous one. Also the wealth and amount of gadgets and what not available to kids grows exponentially by each decade and it just became normal for every kid to have a smart phone and an iPad and all that junk…To be honest I dont even think kids know how to truly enjoy things anymore. When I was a kid if I got a special toy I was happy for weeks. Today the kids are happy a few days and then yawn they are bored and dont feel that specialness and excitement. I think they suffer from overstimulation.

I think this is called meisah machmas melacha and you would be patur, unless of course you used the car in some irregular way or in some irregular terrain that would kill the tires.

I feel like I may have been too harsh on you here so if you were hurt I ask mechila.

WIYMemberI would walk in front in the 4 amos of someone davening shemoneh esrei.
WIYMemberIf you want fun you have to mention the famous shut Chacham Tzvi regarding using a golem (the ones made of earth like the Maharal allegedly made) for a minyan.

I know many of the early talmidim and I don’t believe you are one of them. Either way you can’t be a true talmid of the Moshgiach because his strict stance against internet use is well known and I doubt a talmid would have the chutzpah to so disregard his Rebbe. Most of his mispallelim don’t even have Internet and have Kosher phones. Additionally a talmid of the Moshgiach would not waste his time here typing ridiculous and many times Halachically and Hashkafically inappropriate things. You can say you once learned by him but ddon’t be motzi laaz by calling yourself a talmid.

WIYMemberThe perakim are not of Jewish origin.

“b”h had neither tehillim”
The Mashgiach would vehemently disapprove of this line.

Thanks! So are you!
WIYMemberI thought this would be a thread on Kabbalah lol.

Music has a lot to do with religion. Think David Hamelech. Think nevuah. Think leviim in Beis hamikdash. Think the women at the yam suf. Music is meant to uplift you and help you transcend. I won’t go on a long drasha here.
WIYMemberGuess what, no two raindrops are alike either. I’m no scientist but I would venture to say that there are no 2 of anything that Hashem created that are exactly alike.
If each tiny and seemingly meaningless snowflake and raindrop are so unique and Hashem made sure to give each one it’s own individuality think about how unique and special you are to Hashem!
WIYMemberWhy ask
Technically any time wasted is bittul Torah if you are a man. However most people today are challenged in the area of using time wisely. I will tell you that when you are learning or davening be careful to maximize that time. However a person is allowed and must have time to recharge and relax. You aren’t a machine. If you truly feel that you waste hours a day then you have a problem but if you truly need to listen to music for an hour a day to feel healthy and sane it’s probably a mitzvah to do so. Hashem doesn’t want depressed Jews.

I didn’t even see any signatures on this. Without signatures its worthless. With signatures you have to investigate if it’s legitimate. We usually find out one way or another within few days after such things come out.
Another important point is that an issur that applies to the tzibbur in EY is not necessarily binding on us unless specifically stated as a binding issur for all Klal Yisroel.
P . S. I wouldn’t be surprised if this ban was put together by some evil person in Israel who doesn’t want people finding out what he is really up to. We live in a sad time that the only thing left to keep people straight is the fact that if they do something evil it will hit the news and the blogs.
WIYMemberGoogle 13th Avenue on google maps and you will get an idea. Many clothing stores are on 13th Avenue but there are also good ones on new Utrecht and on other avenues and in private homes so you really need to talk to women who know the lay of the land lol.
WIYMemberIts called being alive.
WIYMemberrebyidd23

WIYMemberBottom line the response was slow in Boro Park as of late yesterday afternoon most avenues were not even touched.
