    BP Totty,

As you are a Totty and in dating you don’t know what’s going on out there. Most girls start dating at 18-19 and DON’T HAVE A CLUE. Many of the girls are so confused. There are probably many hundreds of girls who have dated both yeshivish learning boys and(sometimes very modern) working boys. What’s the deal? Don’t they know what they want?

The difference between Agudah and Levin is that Agudah thinks big picture and what’s best for the klal. Levin only knows one pasuk in chumash and that’s all he goes on about. He doesn’t care about the fact the our community has needs and we should vote for whoever will help the community the most.

Voting for someone who is pro gay marriage doesn’t mean we agree with all their views, politicians know its rare that any voter will agree with all your views, they know you vote because you think overall this person will benefit me, my community, neighborhood….more.

The Agudah and Stamar Rebbe and others need to do what’s best for the community and that comes first.

Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not chas vshalom condoning the gay lifestyle its assur and a a toievah, but it doesn’t say anywhere its assur to vote for someone who is pro gay marriage or is ga.

You can. Not a set number but a range. You see in the Yeshivish community and Chassidish community that a specific small date range seems to work. If people used the dates to discuss tachlis and not just blab about stupidity then dating can be and would be short and within a few dates most people would know yes or no. The problem is that there are people who don’t talk tachlis until 4th date or later. Dating is not meant for fun. Its goal oriented. You are basically interviewing the person for the job of spouse. If the right questions are asked and the right topics are discussed it can be wrapped up in an average of 10 dates.

So that everyone should know that Mr Levin does not represent Orthodoxy. He represents himself and nobody else. The sheer magnitude of the Chillul Hashem he made is mind boggling. As if we Jews don’t get enough bad press he had to make us all look like bigoted haters. He should join the Westboro Baptist Church. His views on gays are probably more extreme then theirs!

Oy I’m sorry if he did that to you. I know that people have dated 2 people at a time but its usually when its still fresh and a few dates in. To do that after a few months of dating is disgusting and betrayal. I don’t want to get into your business you have already opened up plenty here, I just don’t know what purpose dating for 4 and 1/2 months has. Most people I know who are happily married didn’t date more than max 14 or 15 dates I know someone who dated close to 30 times before engagement and they are divorced. It shouldn’t take that long to figure out he’s/she’s for me.

I heard it was good, but I’m sure there was inappropriate dialogue or something in that movie. Hollywood is Hollywood. They have to put some filth in every movie.

I’m not sure what they require in girls schools but most yeshivos don’t give homework that requires internet. Frankly, it doesn’t take all that long to figure out how to do “research” on the internet. It can be explained and demonstrated in less than an hour.

As far as teaching kids to be responsible on the net, all that reponsibility goes out the window once their hormones kick in. At that point you hope they developed the yiras shomayim not to pursue the desire to look at inappropriate things.

Supposedly it lasted 3 seconds and it involved graphic sounds I can’t and won’t go into more detail…

The problem is that there are movies that don’t need to have such scenes but they put them in anyways.

Additionally, it is assur to look at strange women( not your wife, daughter…) its assur to listen to nivul peh, the movie very likely had plenty of that in it, additionally there’s no reason to submit yourself to gruisome bloody images.

If you want to learn about the war read books, talk to survivors. Don’t try to “Kasher” watching Holocaust movies because Hollywood doesn’t put out anything kosher no matter the genre.

There are cheaper ways to travel. One can fly during off peak times and do stop overs. It can be half the regular price, also use credit cards that give travel points. I know people who fly for free all the time.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder it has a lot to do with what you look like and what look you are used to and what you personally think is attractive so some girls are attracted to dorks and vice versa.

Shwekey doesn’t sing too well? I’m not sure what you mean. What’s called singing “well” in your book. Shwekey is an all around great singer. If you mean he doesn’t have different color bekeshes, well that’s what makes Lipa sing “well.”

I can’t believe you would put Lipa befor Shwekey. Lipa can’t sing. His voice is not considered a good voice. Can he entertain? YES! Sing? Not too well. Shloime Daskal should be moved up on that list he is so underrated.

Is that a serious question?! Other than Avraham Fried and MBD I don’t think there’s anyone on your list who can debatably considered a better singer than Shwekey. Abie Rottenberg hardly can be considered a vocalist but he’s a great composer. Lipa Shmeltzer doesn’t have a good voice he’s just an entertainer. Aron Razel is decent at best. Yeedle has his moments but doesn’t have a great voice either.

I think cooking is something that’s a daily requirement to feed ones family and makes more sense for a woman to know how to do than a man knowing how to fix a car which doesn’t need fixing that often. I need a mechanic 1-2x a year. Most of us eat 3x a day.

I never heard this before and I doubt its true. It may be a joke (not very funny if its a joke)

I believe the reason in short is because the mother views the DIL as taking him (her sweet dear bubbeleh child) away from her. It could be that subconsciously she feels like the DIL wont “take care of him” as well as she did and it bothers her. Mommies are very attached to their sons as are Daddies to their daughters.

Yeah I agree. I dont believe in sheltering kids from knowledge and intellectualism.

Granted there are plenty of frum people that try to shelter their kids from anything and everything, but the irony is, many of these “sheltered” kids know more than their parents!

“there is the segulah to take one of the leaves and place it in your wallet as a segulah for parnassah”

Never heard of that one but then again there are literally 100’s of segulos for parnassah.

If anything putting “leaves” in a wallet would make the money go quicker no?

    corny I know.

Bed bugs are present on all countries and in every continent. Though there was a significant lowering of bed bug infestations in the developed world during the second half of the twentieth century, recently that trend has been reversed.

Bed bug infestations can start from various sources. One of the most common forms of infestation is through contacts with infested furniture in hotels, motels, and other places of temporary accommodation. In fact a recent increase in bed bug infestations may have a direct link with the increase in the number of people who travel. Bed bugs are carried around in clothes and the luggage of travelers. However, it is rare to detect bed bugs in the clothes people are actually wearing at any given moment. Clothes that are carried in bags facilitate bed bugs to travel and spread. Another source of bed bug infestation is through the exchange of furniture or garments between people.

Once bed bugs enter a building they will spread throughout it. In buildings where there are multiple housing units, such as apartment blocks or condominiums, all of the units may become infested. This happens through the medium of common areas, as well as through holes and crevices in the walls used by utilities such as plumbing. Material used for separating housing units has a significant impact on the speed at which bed bugs spread through the complex. Buildings that have concrete separators have the least tendency to spread bed bug infestations through them.

Bed bugs feed on blood not on trash. As such, cleanliness does not arrest the spread of infestation directly. The idea that dirt causes bedbugs infestations is a misconception. However cleanliness, by depriving the bed bugs some of their hiding places, does slow down the infestation.

Because bed bugs have flat bodies they can hide in all sorts of unlikely places unseen. It is their ability to hide so completely out of site that has given arise to the second misconception; that bed bugs are so small that they cannot be seen unaided. Bed bugs can in fact be seen since they are about 4 mm in length. Even their eggs, which are about 1 mm in length, can be seen.

In order to stop the spread of bed bugs, infested households should act to eliminate the bugs as comprehensively and as promptly as possible when they are detected. If possible they should take the advice of professional pest control experts for this process. By taking prompt action and by acting as responsible householders and neighbors, bed bug infestations can be managed and controlled, and eventually eliminated.
