Little FroggieParticipant
If you’d crawl out from the shelf, you wouldn’t shudder.
Little FroggieParticipantI definitely hear the side of the OP, a valid complaint. However, on the side of the Yeshiva (don’t even attempt to want to know which), I will just posit that the very essence of a Yeshiva is its conformity, all doing the same thing together. Therein lies its individuality, its strength. If each one were to do “his thing”, there’s little chance such an institution would succeed.
Sometimes one cannot conform to the standards of a Yeshiva, and will have to look for one that suits him, his needs, his circumstances best. Some situations require a “special” setting, which can, actually, afford each student his own path, direction, personalized attention. That’s why we pick our choice.
Since the invention of “Yeshivos”, this has always been the rule – the individual follows, bends, yields to the majority.
The alternative to this is the original plan; every father teach his own son.
Little FroggieParticipantNo, it was me. I’ll tell it to my aineklach!
Little FroggieParticipanta fluffy thing my little daughter plays with
Little FroggieParticipantOK. I hear:
OP1: Is it reasonable to …
OP2: I am not asking you advice…
Everyone, welcome to the CR!!
Little FroggieParticipantOooo!!! You’re talkin’ t’ me?
(Actually not really talking, you’re probably typing, or if you’re defending those gadget nosed fellows, you’re perhaps ‘texting’ a post.)
So Plumber (he’s actually an accountant or pilot, probably never touched said tool) writes (actually keyed in) “I love when old people come on and comment about things like this…”
– I have a niggling feeling he (just supposing she’s a he) actually meant “hate”.
– There are plenty of old people who grace our cozy home. One of whom actually claims to have seen the Chofetz Chaim (IRL, that is) (s/n is est. age!).
– I’m the only one that I know, who commented as such.
– Most people (froggies too) come here to relax, chill out.
and
– We’ve already plunged out (two at a time)
Little FroggieParticipantOK!!!!
Slowly, ever so slowly, it’s beginning to sync in.
(what are you syncing about?)
and just for the record, I’ve had s/n on that one that even Mods have no record of (confession of a mod).
Little FroggieParticipantYou’re gonna SEE me?! Oh my!!!
Little FroggieParticipantI’m not sure I understand you. In fact I’m sure I don’t get you. Please explain. I’m slow today. Really s l o w.
Little FroggieParticipantNice of you to take note.
Maybe this is their way of indicating that he never existed!!
(and btw, there were other subtitles, some nice…)
Little FroggieParticipant<<Just for Fun>>
No, not at all. Parents have the obligation, responsibility (right) to shop, CHOOSE and pay for daughters’ clothing.
<<Hiding>>
Little FroggieParticipantPlumber:
1) I’m not old
2) People? I’m Froggie, in case you haven’t realized.
3) Yes, I was at an airport, plane (no, not flying it this time)
4) Nope, did MANY productive things.
5) Nope, did NONE of the magazines in the rack.
6) Used the abundance of time quiet efficiently.
7) Did, in fact, make convo, interacted with MANY –
– besides
my seatmate (and others) too oblivious to the humans outside those toys. No, they came prepared with all their gadgets, toys, batteries, battery power packs, generators, antennas… he probably did not even notice me. (What a loss. Who wouldn’t want to claim they sat directly next to the Froggie?)
Little FroggieParticipantThank you! And that’s coming from someone who saw the Chfetz Chaim IRL!! (btw is your s/n gonna change to 148 this year? just wondering…)
Little FroggieParticipantI do. (I guess I’ll have to wait in line for a whole year…)
March 12, 2015 4:06 am at 4:06 am in reply to: Rav Moshe Feinstein – a scion of Chasidishe stock #1063880Little FroggieParticipantI definitely don’t want to get mixed into this (or any other) brawl. But, if my memory doesn’t fail me, I seem to recall that he was born after a Bracha from a Chasidishe Rebbe. And he actually displayed a certain Hakaras Hatov toward that particular dynasty/sect.
<<Frogging Out>>
Little FroggieParticipant???? ?????? ????? ?????? ?????.
Be careful guys. Tears, truthful, earnest tears, are powerful.
In supplication too. ??? ???? ?????. But it must be real ones, from the heart.
Little FroggieParticipantShe had multiple user names.
Little FroggieParticipantNo. But I’ll celebrate at all the “parties”. (even 180 +7 days)
Little FroggieParticipantI think Haman had a hangover, with lasting effects.
Little FroggieParticipant# – me too.
March 9, 2015 3:44 am at 3:44 am in reply to: thread for random things too small to be their own threads #1163297Little FroggieParticipantI am little and pretty (ok, not so pretty) random.
Little FroggieParticipantHashem, in His infinite wisdom, placed you (and me) in the precise “setting” that suits our mission here. Nothing would have been accomplished by having ourselves planted in a different generation or setting.
Little FroggieParticipantFroggies too?
Little FroggieParticipantMODS!!!
I dare you to switch me with — (gasp!!)
as a side note, notice how many posters are using my current one(s) and good old times sake ones.
-me, the silly
Little FroggieParticipantI was just testing you Middos.
FAILED!! (because you posted it here)
Little FroggieParticipantImplication of babies switched at birth…
(how about keymaster for me)
-Little Froggie
Little FroggieParticipantOH!!
So it was you!!
And I thought you were complementing…
Little FroggieParticipantthis one too
Little FroggieParticipantOh, time (long overdue) to bump this one.
(actually OPs original s/n was “The Golem Speaks”, user changed it to this one – forgot why – maybe just for fun). Oh, that was another of my short term s/n. There goes. Spilled it!!!
ps And the peoplach here never “chapped” the s/n – a Golem by definition cannot speak. (and let us say, once more) Oh!
Little FroggieParticipantProblem is for those who are careful to wash before (brrrrr) leaving bed… what to do if it froze!
Little FroggieParticipantcozimjewish: It’s you (ok, me too) against “everyone”!
Little FroggieParticipantNechomah, Thanks!!
(now I know why eyes are bathed in antifreeze solution!!)
Little FroggieParticipantI know… You really want to know what happened to little me. Well.. someone suggested that EVERYONE here is waiting for me to leave.. so I did.
…and I’m looking for the way back (too lonely!!)
Little FroggieParticipantWOW!!!
Um, OK… I just wanted to say tha<<CONNECTION TERMINATED>>
Little FroggieParticipantDY: Actually the passuk generally quoted it 15, I think. See Gemarah, Rishonim, Achronim, Poskim, Roshei Yeshivos, Talmidei Yeshivos..
Little FroggieParticipantHighly doubt it. Check again!!!
Little FroggieParticipantHow could it be a fixture? Didn’t it break?

I don’t have any experience on this matter, just my own feeling that one can be much more sincere at this age than earlier.
(and just in case you make the jump… WELCOME BROTHER!!!)
February 11, 2015 4:16 pm at 4:16 pm in reply to: Suggest subtitles for others (okay, and yourself…) #1152589Little FroggieParticipantOn the target… it suits you well!!!
Little FroggieParticipant..spell it Giggle
Little FroggieParticipantcherrybim: haven’t seen you grace this place with any comments for some time
Little FroggieParticipantAgain, Oomis, knowing Tanach, as you said has nothing to do with wining these characters. As YOU said, they come readily prepared with their misconstrued, contorted “meanings”, so it should really only take a sensible mind to discern their bluffs.
I know quite well how they act, the modus operandi (is that a word?), I know they’re quite adept at their work, but I still think a sensible approach is the best. (if you wanna have some fun, that is).
It’s many years later than the Ramban, who after a debate was forced to leave, today we have the invention of free speech – why not use it to it’s fullest. ?? ??????? ????? ??? ???????? ?????? ?????? ?????, here’s my chance at at, why not?!?
I’ve never really delved into their stuff (have a genius of a brother who did), I’ve heard that there’s a hazy, fuzzy couple of maybe hundreds of years that are not accounted by them, overlap or overflop.
February 10, 2015 9:59 pm at 9:59 pm in reply to: Why do people say "tuna fish?" (and other such questions) #1058829Little FroggieParticipantWhy people say tuna fish. One reason would be ’cause they want it. Unless they’re from Novardok, then they’ll ask for nails and you’d have to understand it’s tuna fish that they want.
Little FroggieParticipantFroggie. Little Froggie. No, Cute Little Froggie.
Little FroggieParticipantWow!!!
Still calling me those endearing epithets…
Little FroggieParticipantFrom what I know, one doesn’t have to be such a baki in Tanach, just an extra measure of common sense. And knowing Mefarshim, Rishonim etc.won’t help a bit, they’re at a different “angle”, they’re not exactly “gores” the Rambam, Rishonim, Chazal etc.
You have to know the best way to size up your fellow and “explain” it to him / her, that carefully or randomly skewed “verses” don’t in and way shape or form refer to that individual. Any normal, sensible, unbiased court of law would trash out all “proofs”…
And then discuss the nature of his birth… (actually those “verses” have now been discontinued.. even they realize how utterly foolish it is..)

February 6, 2015 1:08 am at 1:08 am in reply to: How to Deal with a Request for a Shidduch Picture #1136539Little FroggieParticipantDY:
I’m TOTALLY with you on this one. (maybe others too, I don’t live HERE the way I used to..)
People, when starting out on shidduchim always quote the gemarrah “whoever marries for money etc…”, and then they quickly forget there is a Ribbono Shel Olam, and turn the process into a street market bargaining affair. How one side could get the most money… How much each (precious) bachur is “worth”. Get that! We’re not dealing with people, personalities, it’s all a financial assessment. What the Gemarah says about a ben chorin – ayn lo damim – suddenly applies no more!!! This (again, Tiereh) bocher is worth $1,000,000, to apply submit a photo of the other (nebach) object… will assess the financial portfolio…
I have but one word for it – FEH!!
Little FroggieParticipantKapusta, I’m just responding that there’s no reason, al pi din Torah, to shovel snow. It’s not a hezek caused by the landowner, and he doesn’t own the property. No “chiyuv” as stated above. Shoveling one’s own “legal” property (that he really doesn’t own) has no basis in Halachah, nor is it “being a mentch”.
Nothing at all to do with being a mentch. Being a mentch would mean to shovel your neighbor’s property too. Shovel the street, so cars would have an easier time.
And btw most people remember the part of “being a mentch is part of the rulebook of being frum. They tend to forget that being frum is also part of the rulebook.
I suggest you read my post above more thoroughly. I did not in the least imply one not to do it. Read again.
