Little FroggieParticipant
WOW – just realized this one.
Problem (big problem) is, I get busy sometimes, I don’t have as much access to the CR always as I used to..
But yeah, I agree, people have to come in, chill out, cheer up, calm down.
ps at least I save on gas, if the world is going downhill.
Little FroggieParticipantLittle FroggieParticipantYeah…
That too..
Little FroggieParticipantI drink grape juice… I have no other choice…
Little FroggieParticipantOH!!!
Those were the times…
Little FroggieParticipantOK.
Another one for our untiring Mods!!!
Little FroggieParticipantUm…
Little FroggieParticipantI guess EVERYONE is on vacation!!!
Imagine, in “my days”, there was NEVER such a thing… 5 days worth on the main page..
Is the place really closing down? Time to bring up those threads..
Little FroggieParticipant??? ?????? ?’ ????
I hate haters of HaShem and haters of His people.
Little FroggieParticipantAlways wondered how people go NEAR those. I freak out at the smell… Along with my long list of foods that don’t agree with me. (some actually give me headaches just from their aroma)
Little FroggieParticipantAnd remember to thank Froggie for all the Froggienesses. It’s not an easy job, no one else seems to want it.. often it’s frustrating.. Often people don’t show enough appreciation…
LittleFroggiesAreAwesomeToo
oh, one more, how does a shatchan make a shiduch? Either a Shadchan makes a shidduch, or a shatchan makes a shituch.
Little FroggieParticipantNot getting mixed into the fray… (Oh do I have what to add), but all the twisted lumdus of the purported lamdanim notwithstanding, if one statement here causes another to lessen his/her awareness or shmira of this transgression, it will be held accountable in Shamayim. If ??? ?????? ?????? etc. from a true source, because of the reason given, how much more so on an open forum, where laymen, amateur lamdanim wannabes voice their opinion, theories, fantasies.
Little FroggieParticipantIf one is Davening, saying a Bracha etc. he is osek b’mitzvah. Tzedakah certainly does not take precedence.
Little FroggieParticipantTODAY!?!?!?
Little FroggieParticipantI seemed to have listened to myself, more or less!!!!
Little FroggieParticipantWOW!!
Everything OK?!?
Little FroggieParticipantThen there’s RebYidd(which ever number he’s holding now)
Works 23.75 hours a day for us, in his spotless thinking lab, to try to come up with a good one. Sometimes little chunks of thunk fall down and splatter about, he ha a very capable staff of (Jewish/Non-Jewish) cleaning crew.
Little FroggieParticipantCA: I happen to know t<<IDENTIFYING INFO REMOVED>>
July 6, 2015 10:11 pm at 10:11 pm in reply to: Is it socially responsible to repel mosquitoes? #1090614Little FroggieParticipantSam: I have to disagree with you on that one. I don’t think mai chazis would apply there, when one’s sole action is removing himself from danger.
Little FroggieParticipantJews as a whole are most definitely not self centered. Otherwise we’d be living like our ‘neighbors’ in the countryside, one house in the middle of a nowhere.
We give tzedaka, have many various organizations. A lot of us are completely occupied with ???? ?????, with minimal pay. Come to any Yiddishe Kehilla and be pleasantly surprised.
Most of us place G-D in the center of our lives. Yes, MOST OF US.
and, as opposed to you, Redleg, while I’m on ‘vacation’ (vacation, sure that’s the word!!!), I have 0.75 cars. (one time, I think, it was in one piece)
Little FroggieParticipantDon’t know about any of the businesses. But if you come across it on a website, a popup or the like, DO NOT, again DO NOT fall for it. There’s a reason why someone’s offering it for free. Usually it’s a scam virus that gets you to ‘donate’ money to ‘complete’ the ‘removal’ of viruses it ‘found’. – No, there were no viruses before. You just ‘installed’ it!!!
I do removals (actually for a charge, and no, I’m not advertising it here, there, or anywhere) so I know the ropes. Most things for free are for a reason…
Little FroggieParticipantI do know many (unfortunately) IRL. (the real problem is that they know me) That’s why I left them out.
Little FroggieParticipantWOW!!
I forgot. Mod[*] – a most caring, compassionate, devoted individual. He keeps us safe from ourselves. Then there’s 129, a woman Mod, if I recall correctly. Maybe there are others too, it’s one of the things one may not ponder too excessively, it’s like ????? ??????.
Little FroggieParticipantAll foods of Shabbos should be delicious. And for all Yidden, not only Stoliners.
But I suspect Stoliners put their dagash, their emphasis, on other areas of Avodas HaShem; learning and Davening with a geshmack, a fiery zeal.
Little FroggieParticipantOomis, as I wrote, our last voice of reason, graces our place with her pieces of intelligence, sense, purpose, sound advice. Wisdom, in short.
She’s a loving bubby of 8 KA”H.
Little FroggieParticipantOf course there’s Sam2 (always wondered what #1 was like) who seems to be a tremendous Talmid Chacham, and also knows a lot of Torah, many different areas (wonder what he does in his spare time – when he’s not taking our calls).
Little FroggieParticipantThen there’s 147, who’s about 147 years old (he once wrote he saw the holy Chofezt Chaim, in real life that is). And he never misses a chance to throw in something about…(whoops, it just slipped me)
Little FroggieParticipantOK, since there’s only me and you here today, I’ll byte.
You’re mail, young (maybe teen) and you like a certain food. I can’t recall which, though.
Little FroggieParticipant(I’m not confirming)
We’ve had this type of thread /game many times in the past… I’m almost sure this time around it’s gonna get [closed] in no time…
July 5, 2015 3:22 pm at 3:22 pm in reply to: If you could only do one fun thing this summer….. #1090756Little FroggieParticipantThis is about having fun, not about saving money.
Little FroggieParticipantYeah. She’s the last one with a voice of sanity, sensibility (etc…) here. Besides me. But I’m not here. (like they say ‘not all here’)
Little FroggieParticipantThose from the other half of what?!
Little FroggieParticipantCatch Yourself: thank you for your wise way of treating this delicate subject.
Little FroggieParticipantI’m UP now.
Now what?
July 5, 2015 8:27 am at 8:27 am in reply to: If you could only do one fun thing this summer….. #1090754Little FroggieParticipantMe? Completing and getting a pilot’s license!
Little FroggieParticipantWorking today… my head (what’s that?) is TOTALLY mush …
Little FroggieParticipantJewishness has nothing to do with being luny. With destroying someone else’s property. With breaking out in dance, in the middle of wherever you are… etc.
The founder of the Breslover Chasidus was a great and holy man. He’d be very pained to know what some did to his memory.
To say the least.
June 25, 2015 4:46 am at 4:46 am in reply to: A fellow Jew owes me money- what should I do? #1088955Little FroggieParticipantThere’s no issur in extending more time. If you don’t need it, I’d think it’s gaining more schar, lending money to one to be able to stand on his own feet.
Little FroggieParticipantWe try to do it every day. We were makpid with all of ours children, from just about day 1.
How I do it? I place infant on my lap, criss-cross his/her hands and hold them together with one hand in correct position, so I generally aim right on. We’re not so fussy about opening her fists if she’d make one, though.
Problem is when they get older, they always want me to wash them “the funny way”!
Little FroggieParticipantI’d love to change my legal CR S/N!!
June 24, 2015 1:38 am at 1:38 am in reply to: What Kind of Thread Were You Thinking of Starting… #1088617Little FroggieParticipantA whole full day.. and no one thought of something.
Obviously… threads are started without thinking!
Little FroggieParticipantNot the first time no eggs.
A long time ago during a “procedure” done at Anshei K’neses Hagdolah headquarters, there was a great shortage of eggs. They had to “alter” the procedure.
Little FroggieParticipant..only Roshe Yeshivos wore them..
suffice ANY old photo to contradict that
..even R’ Nosson Wachtfogel zt”l didn’t wear a black hat..
Exactly the color of hat? Not sure. But he most certainly did wear one, one that suit him right. One that lent him his dignified look.
Color of hat back then was different than that of now. And MOST bochurim DID wear a hat.
I don’t know who this R’ Aaron Rakeffet is, but if he says that “there was no Daas Torah, you could argue with them”, then I could most certainly do the same to him.
“Chasidim conquered America” – Oh sure, because now it’s the norm for litveshe Bochurim to dress the same. Oh!! A major chasidic victory. Imagine talmedai haGra crying in despair…
OH!! In Europe, in the famous great established Yeshivos of yore, there was no Daas Torah. ???? ??????. The Roshei Yeshiva, Rabbanim, Dayanim.. no Daas Torah.
Of course there was a mechutzaf here and there, one who stood up brazenly, like Korach and Co. Were talking here about us Torah Jews, ????? ??????, WE held our Gedolim in the heighest reverence.
Now of course, for some reason, Chassidishe Rebbes were held in reverence by their (and other) communities more so, it does not in any way mean that Litveshe Gedolim were not held in esteem, reverence. Actually I seem to recall something about ???? ??? ????? ????. No, not a casual remark. It’s for real. Like all other ????? ??”?.
Little FroggieParticipantRight you are buddy. Not a step backwards. Most definitely. Someone who used to present himself properly for his audience with ??? ???? ??????, to do away with it all… no.. nothing wrong. “For anyone”…
“perfectly reasonable”
sure..
Little FroggieParticipantActually yes, you’re right.
Someone who was brought up that way, kol hakavod.
For someone to regress from his standard, that’s a step backwards. We’re supposed to dress up for davening, for talking to the most important One in the universe, ???? ????? ????? ?????. It’s not something casual, something to be done away because of an inconvenience.
Little FroggieParticipant(maybe the mods don’t read English)
June 17, 2015 4:25 am at 4:25 am in reply to: Pics of Simchas where family specifically request not to share on social media. #1087249Little FroggieParticipantAs I wrote before, it’s not becoming of a Jew.
I can’t think of a definite, written, exlpicit issur in Shulchan Aruch, (not that I know how to operate one), at best it’s being a naval birshus Hatorah.
Little FroggieParticipantFeel free to paint your carrots to your heart’s desire
June 17, 2015 12:46 am at 12:46 am in reply to: Pics of Simchas where family specifically request not to share on social media. #1087238Little FroggieParticipantAgree with you TOTALLY.
SO UNTZNIUS. That’s the current world we live in – “chutzpa yasge”. Everything publicized, publicized, broadcast for the world at large to know, so in-your-face. Utterly disgusting behavior.
Yidden ought to have an innate sense of tznius, privacy. That’s one of our three defining character traits.
And all the more so when posting pictures of women, girls. Are they c”v to become “objects” for ogling?!? How wrong!!!
June 14, 2015 2:18 pm at 2:18 pm in reply to: Suggest subtitles for others (okay, and yourself…) #1152625Little FroggieParticipantThere’s a song “Tate ich dank dir, vayl ich been a Yid”
translates to
Father I thank you, that I am a Jew (cozimjewish)
so I thought it would fit
