Little FroggieParticipant
From all the pop-up ads. Flashing.. glimmering.. moving.. jumping..
Little FroggieParticipantNot taking any sides here, just writing my experience.
I was caught in the cross-fire last time around. It was on a Friday before Rosh Hashana. We were Davening at the Kosel peacefully, when suddenly rocks were raining down on us. It was such a scary moment. Police ran in and told us, erroneously to move away from the base of the wall, towards the back and hide in the tunnel. Which was a big mistake, because rocks cannot fall directly down at the base. I ran right alongside the Kosel into the tunnel, we all emptied out from the Kosel proper, we had there quite a number of people, terrified. There was so much screaming, shrieking from the women’s section, so much commotion, as they attempted to all fit in the small room on their side, tend to the children, carriages… Police / soldiers then locked the gates to the tunnel, and then ran up to respond to the rioting arabs.
The noise of gunfire was deafening, so terrifying, I never heard anything like it before, perhaps because of the echoing effect of the Kosel plaza outside. It sounded like a hundred thunderstorms. That’s when we said Tehillim 142 the first time, with a literal sense, ?????? ?????, with such a likeness to the urgency of David Hamelech. It was so hard not to cry. Literally, for real.
Little FroggieParticipantOish… before you go and condemn, kindly peek at my post above… OK, she wasn’t the one to start the fray.. she was attempting to defray, a most natural instinct.
She knows she wouldn’t react like that in the normal circumstance, (she’s a Morah Rach!), obviously she looking for our comforting words of support, not condemnation, criticism.
October 12, 2015 12:00 pm at 12:00 pm in reply to: Disturbing fundraising letter from a yeshiva #1104820Little FroggieParticipantOH!!
(ps.. welcome to the CR, where humor rules… again, Oh!!)
Little FroggieParticipantWow!! How in the world do you go digging up old (“used”) diapers?!?
Little FroggieParticipantAct out all participants of the CR!!!
Little FroggieParticipantWow!! Excellent piece, Syag. Right on target.
I’m not following thhis whole thing through, I’d just like to add, that on Simchas Torah we rejoice and give thanks to HaShem for His Torah, the way of life it presents, our uniqueness. In which women most definitely DO take a most active role.
October 11, 2015 2:59 pm at 2:59 pm in reply to: do you ever look in the mirror and say "Why"? #1105287Little FroggieParticipant“Why” is the way sefardim pronounce our “Vay”.
Little FroggieParticipantsome say that… I’m far gone…
Little FroggieParticipantDo two dums make you mart?
Little FroggieParticipanthmm.. sounds like you’re in the YW financial dept.
(psst… what’s the code to the Mods’ console)
Little FroggieParticipantCan’t yet. My thinkerator is in operation mode for less than six hours. To think really good it had to be on for at least 12 hours.
Little FroggieParticipantWow!! a mamin, thank you for your kind words. But I really doubt anyone really missed me. Deep down (deepest of the deep) I think everyone enjoyed the quiet.
Little FroggieParticipantfunny thing.. he asked for women’s opinion.. only men have responded.. (me? I’m froggie, nish ahin, nish aher, nish mit alemen nisht mit aleladies)
Little FroggieParticipantWell, I just read through Joseph’s whole Shpiel…
No you didn’t. I’m still a quarter way through..
Little FroggieParticipantA good “acquittal” to all!!
Little FroggieParticipantActually it did end late, not that late. It takes time to get home, undo dance shoes, undust, unsweat, unwind…
Little FroggieParticipantOh. I was there too. (whoops.. now you know who little me is)
It’s called dancing. In a big circle. They do it quite often. Especially when they’re happy.
Little FroggieParticipantI wrote about this before (you’ll have too look up my thousands of posts…), Mods go through rigorous training, complex courses, degrees… When one gets the official Mod Certificate, it means they have attained / become a something.. They’re not just people… they’re Mods!!!
They don’t take humor the way us mortal humans do…
Little FroggieParticipantMy talented brother will ??”? be performing tonight.
Little FroggieParticipantI caught that first. I just thought that here in the CR anything goes. (besides why would I want to ‘tchepa’ someone right after YK)
Little FroggieParticipantlemme join the fray
Dunno what’s goin on here. People are going to a movie, to watch just to be able to NOT WATCH ?!? Really?!? And you buy it??
Yes, B”H DY is close-minded, very close-minded; close-minded with Torah views. (Hopelessly..)
Little FroggieParticipantGo make yourself another thread
(another another another) Mechilah Thread. (besides, I think you’re one day late, you’re gonna have to wait ’till next year..)
Little FroggieParticipantI think I play Jewish music. Jewish as Jewish can be.
My challenge? When I was just getting into it, my greatest challenge was ripping myself away. I was so into it, I couldn’t get enough.
Little FroggieParticipantThere’s no inyan to chap. ???????? ?????? ?????. There’s an inyan to partake. I think it’s based on a Pasuk ?????? ?? ???? ?????? ???? ?? ???? ??? ????? ?????? ???? ?????. A Tzadik who is an ???? ???, has his ‘bread’ blessed, so anything left retains that blessing..?????? ???? ?????. And yes, there are differences between different communities. Some other functions at a Tish would be divrei Torah, mussar, Chassidus.
Little FroggieParticipantOne time they dunked the tip of his his clothing in water in case there was a gezeira his ships should sink…
Little FroggieParticipantI still didn’t hear from any other of the above. Can I assume they’re mochel me too, unless otherwise indicated?
Little FroggieParticipantI’m certainly mochel you. You’ve NEVER written an unkind word to me.
Have a Gmar Chasimah Tovah. May HaShem hear your Tefillos and bestow His blessing upon you and family.
Little FroggieParticipantJoseph, it’s better, much better if you specifically say “Machul lach” (that would make it one less thing for me to worry)
Little FroggieParticipant-Oops, see, I missed one.
Joseph, I know I (at least) once “tcheppered”, annoyed, harassed, caused you pain through and with my not so kind words. With this current and previous screen names. Please forgive me from your whole heart, for all suffering caused through me.
Gmar Chasima Tova!!
Little FroggieParticipantGo for it, by all means! And may all your personal Tefillos be answered and fulfilled, ?????!!
Little FroggieParticipantMy assumption: Mods are nice, caring, devoted, courteous individuals.
Most posters are polite, knowledgeable. Some are slightly opinionated . Some come across as strong, strong-minded. Again, that is only my assumption.
Little FroggieParticipantYeah, I don’t know how people could just post away here (there, or anywhere).
Little FroggieParticipantAnnonymouschochom:
Thank you for that one!!!
On target, and very much to the point.
Little FroggieParticipantRebbetzin Plony:
So sorry. I DON’T know the ANY halachos, either inside or out, neither top side up nor bottom side down.
I’ll ask Frogette..
Little FroggieParticipantCan’t hear you. What!?!
The Chofetz Chaim ztza”l was known not to be able to hear lashon hara, but was able to hear Divrei Torah.
But I suspect the problem HERE is NOT listening, most people type quietly (and most secretively), it’s the reading of it. And you’re most definitely right, I do try not to talk or ingest and lashon hara.
Oh, and by the way, the plunger job in my ears, was not such a good idea, I think…
Little FroggieParticipantOne more thing, I try to verify Halacha things I find here, with a competent Halachaician before rashly, blindly following them.
Little FroggieParticipantMe too, on the same vein as that of DY. I’ve gained much on knowing how others think, what makes them tick (and what ticks them off).
Little FroggieParticipantDY: 5 points for that one!!!
Little FroggieParticipantMe? Forgot to but on my brains today…
Quite obvious..
Little FroggieParticipantOhhh. I’m SOOOO sorry. I didn’t realize it would bother you.. I’m running to the sho<<YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO>>
July 17, 2015 6:17 pm at 6:17 pm in reply to: And I'm The One Disrespecting The Davening???!! #1092615Little FroggieParticipantYou’d feel quite welcome in our Shul.
While most wear a hat and jacket (some shtreimal on Shabbos), anyone, in any attire, is made to feel most welcome.
And there is absolutely NO TALKING, from beginning to end. Period. They take Davening there quite seriously (putting it mildly). Any shmoozer there is made to feel… quite out of place.
Little FroggieParticipantNo, CharlieHall, You DON’T belong to the New York Botanical Garden. Hopefully.
And yes, I too love flowers, esp. a colorful, gay cheerful arrangement.
Little FroggieParticipantI sincerely hope NOT! (can’t really tell around here, the place is swarming..)
And I’m REALLY in a mood of changing my screen name…
Little FroggieParticipantHuh?!?
Ticked out AGAIN???
Little FroggieParticipantOoo….
I’m still (happily – right, Froggette?) married!!
Little FroggieParticipantOomis – WB.
And since when did you join the silly side of the CR?
Little FroggieParticipantSince mosquitoes are full of human blood, I think one should be careful not to spill…
Little FroggieParticipantIf HaShem wills it…
Little FroggieParticipantI remember hearing a shiur or something about this topic – which ones are the more ‘important’ ones, which ones, and in what order can, out of necessity, be skipped.
