I don’t want to elaborate or go into details, this site is not for advertisement (nor do I have a need to blow my cover).

The bit I’ll disclose is that I do weddings and simchos, am one person (according to most) – a OMB, and that people come out really pleased and happy.

I don’t have techno machines that rip out ear drums, my machines are just the things needed to uplift and set the people in motion (various crowds), however, I will never blare anyone’s ears out.

The second thing is that I b’Shita don’t do ANY of the modern junk, anything remotely sounding like the noise blaring from our “neighbors'” cars. And have sadly become somewhat the norm of the so-called Chasidishe olam. No, I stick strictly to our sort, and I notify clients beforehand. Clients who do hire me do so because they want that style. It’s sadly becoming a rarity, most people today don’t know what you want, what you’re talking about. Sure, everything’s “Jewish” today… Most “Chasidishe” weddings are so full of noise and garbage, it’s so embarrassing and distressing to watch Gedolim and Roshei Yeshivos dance to those filthy “rhythms”. No, I’ll use Yiddish tunes and rhythms, no need to dirty a Jewish simchah or ocassion with exercise trance techno noise.

Often, when I conclude a job, guests will commend and thank me for my dagash, my style, of sticking solely to Jewish sounding sounds. They will tell me that it really made it a Yiddishe Simcha, and truly uplifting experience. (oh, that’s why I did it)

Someone learning full time, a real, honest, earnest full time learner, who uses his time to the fullest is no questioningly better than one who doesn’t. No everyone is cut out for it, not everyone can or is supposed to, but then again not everyone’s job is to be the best Jew. One is supposed to do Ratzon HaShem, what HaShem wants him to do, regardless of another one’s standing. But Torah study is the ultimate tafkid of a Jew. ????? ???? ???? ????.

SSD, I agree. I wouldn’t have made light of these two greatest giants.

These was this folk tale that the holy Rashi was holding his young grandson, Rabbeinu Tam on his lap, when the child grabbed off Rashi’s Tefilin. Supposedly he remarked that one day he’ll disagree on the order he defined.

I think lashon hara should not be permitted. Anywhere. I’d suppose in the news section they’re more careful of what in published, us diminutive creatures cannot alter or edit the main story. But in the shmoozing section, where conversation by default to steer to various (unwanted) directions, more caution is needed.

Again, I don’t work for the YW, nor the CR (posting is not legally considered an occupation), that’s how it seems to me.

I’m glad you, Oomis, made her happy. And LG, I never C”V intended to hurt anyone’s feelings or make anyone ashamed of herself, r”l. Please forgive.

I’m just saddened by the fact that everyone’s suspicious, wary, distrustful of teachers, educators, mechanchim. Don’t get me wrong, I’m following all the news, all the time.. outside our camp.. inside.. I know what’s going on.. A bit first hand experience too (unfortunately).. It’s just that when your ingraining into a student’s mind to be distrustful of her educators.. you’ve got a big problem. There has to be a better way than to plant distrust, doubting into the minds of students, otherwise our Mesorah goes out the window. ???? ??? ????? ????, is part of the method of giving over the Mesorah.

To the issue at hand.. I cannot see any real problem with a female educator saying the “L” word to a student.. It’s us whose got the problem. We don’t know what it means or how to apply it. We associate it with out “neighbors’ debased expression.. No. There’s nothing wrong with that word. And I it tell my children (over and over). “Love your neighbor”.. “Love the convert”.. “Love Hashem”. It’s all over in the Torah.

Of course if you notice something dangerous, creepy that is a different story…

I don’t go for such explanations. It wasn’t his job to see his brothers repentance. As opposed to others here who think they’re in HaShem’s stead to scrutinize and test other’s repentance and deeds.. Yosef knew his bounds. And he spoke with humility.

I don’t ‘chap’. If she’s a teacher and mentor you trust, and she’s going this extra to care for you, what’s the problem of expressing your love towards her? A minute measure of hakaras hatov, a gesture of acknowledging her warmth and close relationship. As one fine poster wrote above, you have a lot to be thankful for.

    Am I missing something?

    it would be snooping, stalking…

Seriously, many seforim deal with this. One approach is that he was scared for his life (from his brothers) and until he was able to test them out he wasn’t taking any chances.

I know that. But the ones I fly are two seaters.

As far as the long flights one commercial ones, it’s still in seclusion. Even if one could circumvent Halachah issues, it’s not a smart, sensible situation for one frum female.
