Winnie:
That is precisely the essence of the Aleinu Tefillah. Our appreciation that we are able to recognize and give reverence and thanks to our Great Creator.
Little FroggieParticipantMe?!?
Yeah. That’s why I post here. (so far at least). Uh, let me go back and check… There’s about 400 threads I started, roughly about 3,000 posts I wrote (make this 3001). Maybe in one I was right. Could be.
November 29, 2016 5:16 pm at 5:16 pm in reply to: Do Normal People Post in the Coffee Room? #1196415Little FroggieParticipantI do not c”v doubt your intelligence. I just think that sometimes you’re low duck, and my petty quips slip right past, and you won’t realize it was only in jest..
November 29, 2016 3:59 pm at 3:59 pm in reply to: Do Normal People Post in the Coffee Room? #1196413Little FroggieParticipantand LuL:
That was some joke, sort of, just like the part of no L”H. (to spell it out – if it would be L”H, then to say “I don’t want speak L’H..” would also constitute L”H. OH).
To reiterate: a joke is …
Little FroggieParticipantBrings to mind a story about an obstinate Rav who got lost in a forest and miscalculated when Shabbos was.
November 29, 2016 3:40 pm at 3:40 pm in reply to: Do Normal People Post in the Coffee Room? #1196412Little FroggieParticipantYou have to read the URL to understand the third and seventh post.
Little FroggieParticipantThe Shule I attend does not pay attention to how much time goes by, they’re really INTO the Davening. (No, not me – the crowd) There’s absolutely no talking, Davening is for real, and big focus in the Kehillah’s priorities.
For me personally, counting the minutes and seconds we are in the audience of HaShem, sounds a mite petty… something like being impatient with it… I don’t want to sound condescending or holier ?”?, these are the moral and ideals we were raised with.
Little FroggieParticipantLuL: this was a riddle, something akin to, sort of, to a joke. A joke is something, (oh, how do you explain it?) humorous, amusing. Humor is something like…(oh no, what do I do now).. something you’re supposed to laugh, smile at.
November 29, 2016 12:39 am at 12:39 am in reply to: Do Normal People Post in the Coffee Room? #1196407Little FroggieParticipantOK. To answer the OP… Bet he’s waiting five years for my reply..
And the answer is – ever since I left the CR no <<oops, I don’t want to speak L”H>>
November 29, 2016 12:33 am at 12:33 am in reply to: A soporific story of moderate coincidence #1195993Little FroggieParticipantME?!? (I’m outta here!!!)
Little FroggieParticipantMe? Dunno. The OP is NOT ME. I’ve had many other usernames, this one is not me. This character is one the chances (chanced) by, and flood(s) the places with…

Little FroggieParticipantBrake, the man said. Like the thingy in my car that doesn’t brake. (actually it does, with a lot of protesting, in the form of varying colors of warning signals)
Little FroggieParticipantIt’s something you make. Something you hack.
Little FroggieParticipantWhere’d you get this notion that I’m online?!?
November 27, 2016 4:43 pm at 4:43 pm in reply to: A soporific story of moderate coincidence #1195986Little FroggieParticipantLuL: We had some serious people here too, some who got too much in the way. We had all sorts. The general consensus was that this site is a chat room, a kosher one, where one finds convos that suits them for CONVO SAKE. It is not a class room and was never intended to be. (I know I keep repeating that, because I, like some others keep forgetting..) There as so many other sites that offer shiurim, classes, courses in most varying topics. That is not what the CR chat is all about. And that is not what the peoplach of the CR are attracted to.
Most understand that things here are not at a direct direction, instruction, order, command. Rather just at conversation level, for the many reasons I’ve offered so many times (I forgot them too)
No – I don’t own the place (yet). Neither does any one else of our esteemed postership. No need to turn this place into a (blah) school classroom. I DID MY YEARS!!!!
+1
November 27, 2016 4:17 pm at 4:17 pm in reply to: Tefillin while teaching (No LH permitted please) #1195272Little FroggieParticipant(Now I see the original OP)
And actually she DID ask the men, this site (contrary to popular opinion), is frequented by both sides of the mechitza. One side generally suffices with one tenth .. due to a gemarah somewhere)
And the reason is because we’re really supposed to wear them the whole day. Indeed olden times that would be the rule. Nowadays when we can’t keep to the constant level of kedshah required, we remove them out of reverence, once the minimum requirement is attained.
If one CAN keep to that level, all the better. He is sanctifiying himself more and more with these most holy mitzvhos. They surround a person, infuse his neshamah, his mind and heart with holiness.
November 27, 2016 3:37 pm at 3:37 pm in reply to: Tefillin while teaching (No LH permitted please) #1195269Little FroggieParticipantAnd I’m B”H schooled in Netilas Yadayim, Brochos, Hafrashas Challah, Hilchos Sukka, Melicha, Toen V’nitan (to name a few, in my humility). So this thread will contain only…
Little FroggieParticipantDon’t worry! Seeing is believing! When the right times comes you’ll find yourself happily married to the right one. Of course there’s the regular Hishtadlus’ one must do in this field, each in their own fields, but at the beginning, middle and end it’s All up to our Great Creator up there. Funny you mentioned it this week, which parsha is all about “The Parsha”. As other Torah greats have mentioned, one discerns the hidden Yad HaShem more in instances of Shiduchim than in anything else – ???? ??????.
and btw in olden times people looked for persons of weight, skinny ones were rejected as not healthy, useful.
Little FroggieParticipantTo answer the OP, in my opinion,
Yes, it was wrong. There was a period of time when tznius fell to the sidelines. For whatever reason, and there were plenty of them.. a lot of women and girls then were much more frum and God fearing than our generation, we are not to judge them. I think it’s only proper to photoshop, asside for tznius concerns, because many of them would be ashamed of their attire – looking back. I know of one (relative of mine) who begged to have her picture altered because a bit was too revealing.. Again, it was a trend in those days.. we cannot judge, and they wouldn’t want to “be caught”. So they photoshop.
Little FroggieParticipantMy little one tells ME what to do. In no uncertain terms… You never heard HER wail…
November 21, 2016 8:35 pm at 8:35 pm in reply to: Converting to Judaism, how do I explain to family about Xmas? #1193160Little FroggieParticipantDon’t even listen to those that say ask your Rabbi. Ask your Rabbi.
Little FroggieParticipantGosh!! LuL: As opposed to the general opinion that I totally LIVE here, I confess, I don’t. Actually I did once, I moved since. So I don’t get to read EVERY thread, I certainly don’t get to comment every minute. That’s why I let certain statements, posts, questions fall by..
No. I didn’t mean to insinuate that you’re not nice, ?”?. And I certainly did NOT intend to attack anyone. Anyone as in… anybody. And I did not accuse you of attacking me either. You have to be a bit lilmod of other (lesser) peoples. Their language, “shprach” as they would call it. Just because I wrote I’m under attack, doesn’t really literally mean someone’s “attacking” me.
Again, this is the Coffee Room – not a class room, so comments, statements, posts and conversations here are at an entirely different level and form.
I’m sorry I hurt your feelings.
(and if you’re in Eretz Yisroel – what are you doing up now??)
Little FroggieParticipantPerson1, I’ll be kind, and honest. You’re right. One could be nice and serious and the other way around. I hope I don’t come through as mean.
(ooh those vibes…)
Little FroggieParticipantOh no. It’s little me who’s missing it. Plenty of it.
I just thought you wanted my attention, for whatever reason. So I attentioned!!
Little FroggieParticipant(Oh well… I guess I’m under attack)
Little FroggieParticipantLuL:
I started this thread having in mind that this is one you definitely won’t participate!!! Oh well…
Just to answer… that statement is correct, that is all HaShem has from His world… I was writing what us mortals (those little beings you see under your feet, if you look really hard) have… We have moods, attitudes, dispositions… We try to pass a smile, be supportive, give a lift, inject energy… ??? ?? ???? ??????, ?????? ???? ???!!
For the gloomy faced, solemn, morbid (sullen) characters – we have left you the other threads.
Little FroggieParticipantI’M HERE!!!!
I HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR!!!
Little FroggieParticipantIt’s about the OP’s feeble attempt to recapture the CR. To lighten up a bit. To put a smile on a people or two. Oh those good old days…
C’mon peoplach. The world is not only made up of halachos, shidduchim and seminaries. There gotta be something else to it…
Smile, casuse lil frogge said so…
November 18, 2016 5:38 am at 5:38 am in reply to: Why Are There So Many Seminary Threads??? #1193073Little FroggieParticipantEvery girl that pops on the scene MUST make a new thread about (hey, what was that again?) ?!? A new one, chewing and reading the oldies wouldn’t suffice… each girl with her own, NEW, unique, personal thread…
I guess when I’ll be a girl I’ll understand…
Little FroggieParticipantI didn’t yavin
Little FroggieParticipantMy boss (two year old daughter) has me on her leash
Little FroggieParticipantI DID move out (escaped is the word). As I’ve said many times before, I’m east of YiddishKite, in a suburb call Kensington (“poor man’s Flatbush”)
To here get from BP by foot takes about fifteen – twenty minutes, by car it’s gonna be about 45 minutes to a hour. Oh, there are two trains you could take, probably faster..
Little FroggieParticipantUnwind… Hey! If you know how to post here (I doubt you do), why not try it…

November 15, 2016 5:32 pm at 5:32 pm in reply to: Converting to Judaism, how do I explain to family about Xmas? #1193151Little FroggieParticipantThinking Out Loud- Perfect!!! So well written!!
Little FroggieParticipantInteresting to note the url of this thread.
Little FroggieParticipantFlatbusher: My words were NOT directed at you. Actually I didn’t even see your post before starting to write mine.
In the case where Chazal do use metaphors, it’s (as I heard and learned) because Chazal chose to hide the real deeper meaning and disclose it to worthy students, ?? ??????, as a chain. The inner secrets of Torah was not meant for the common-folk. For them the base text should be studied. I think it’s a ????”? somewhere.
Sorry for the notion I was attacking you.
Little FroggieParticipantUh Oh!!
Here comes another one.
1) I don’t really believe you literally exist. It’s just some metaphoric mass I’m communicating with.
2) The Rambam, of course, does not write that about ALL portions of Chazal. He does not write off the whole Torah just like that ?? ?????. You need to have sechel to know where and what. That’s what Mesorah and Rebbeim are all about. You don’t start on the scene armed with a (translated) sefer or two, and become the next ‘expert’ in Judaism. Chazal say one should be an Anav. Oh, that’s metaphoric. Not really!! A person should be a Yerai Shamiyom. No, it’s only meant metaphoric!! Go have fun!! Oh really? That’s where Mesorah, and a bit of sechel come in.
3)There are a lot that disagree with that Rambam. And it’s an old one. This is the famous Rambam everyone who chooses to deflect knows. There are lots of other Rambams as well.
4)A halachic statement can be metaphoric. Oh really? So I have been keeping Shabbos, Kosher etc. all for extra credit!! No – if doesn’t really mean ‘chayav’ – it’s only metaphoric!! (the only metaphoric aspect I found in Halacha, is that when it says ‘Reuven’ and ‘Shimon’, it could also mean me and you – oops I forgot you don’t really physically exist)
5) You don’t want to be believing in Mamarei Chazal because some John Wass has issues. Mind you, there’s a great Creator up there, in spite of some John Wass theories. And anyone else’s. Your’s too. He, in His wisdom, knows perfectly well how to handle his world. He knows exactly how to make all His creature stand and withstand. He, who brought the great giraffes into being, knows exactly how to create creatures of height.
6)And now he’s questioning another portion of Torah. The sun stood still. OK? That’s the sun that you (oops, there’s no one there), I and every one else observes. That bally up there. IT STOOD STILL!! It really did. Every one saw that miracle (besides you!). And lest you be a chochom in your eyes, what does “been thrown off by the centrifugal force” mean. You’re so busy doubting, questioning Divri Chazal, that you forgot to apply brains. If the world stood still and stopped rotating, what centrifugal force is there?!?
I’m writing as such, because this is the slippery slope our deflectors chose to go on… (and I’m not really attacking any real person)
Little FroggieParticipantActually, I do. What’s the wonderment? I daven and I try to understand, connect with what I’m saying. Actually I try to connect with my Maker, which is the root of ?????. I need to reconnect at least thrice daily…
Little FroggieParticipantLuL:
Exactly. Now I can proceed to the next lesson…
Little FroggieParticipantSee, I knew it!!! This thread (if I must spell it out) is another one of the humor collection. Some people have to be taught…how to smile, grin, laugh, giggle!! The science of humor, how to detect it, how it works, where to buy it, how to install it.. Will be conducting a course, in series…
in short:
SMILE
’cause little froggie said so..
Little FroggieParticipantHurray!!! I’m that 1% that understand .001% of Kegavna.
From what I understand, there’s a great deal of transitioning “Up There”, everything’s getting ready, waiting in anticipation for the Holy Shabbos… Then our holy nation takes on (enrobes in) the new Neshamah.. This is the time of the Service of Davening, to Bless (and Daven) with a happiness and gladness, with a beaming countenance.
It’s the last part I choose to put my focus on. So much upheaval, changing, cleaning.. all the heavenly spheres above. All so that a Jew come and Daven with happiness, a geshmake, zestful manner!!!
Little FroggieParticipantThe CR famous ECLIPSE?!
Little FroggieParticipantOne more point (many more coming… slowly)
You’re taking this (hollowed) place MUCH TO SERIOUS. This “place”, clique if you will has more or less begotten a life of it’s own. Existing posters from way, way back, each coming to the table with such diverse backgrounds, hashkafos, ideals and ideas. You have to be in it for some time till you get the ropes, figure out who’s who and what’s what.
Little FroggieParticipantLuL:
Yes, I AM thankful when someone points out he/she was offended by something I wrote or said. That is really the essence of ???? ?????.. ??? ??? ???? ???, point it out and gat a chance to clear the air!! So yes, I apologize for ?”? intoning something to the personal, though that was NEVER my intention. I only attempted to differ with you regarding specific Halacha issue, nothing at ALL more.
And now we are done – again.
Little FroggieParticipantif you really need to know… I sit in front of a computer hours, hours long trying to teach it (to do what I want, not what it wants). I take breaks for my sanity… Sometimes I get carried away in a convo or 2 or 3 or
November 7, 2016 5:48 pm at 5:48 pm in reply to: He broke up and I don't understand why? Guys, can you explain this behavior? #1189541Little FroggieParticipant.. And I apologize for not reading what the Mod’s won’t let me see above!! (Mod’s I really don’t mind)
Little FroggieParticipantSeems like someone came on the scene to chase everyone else away!!!
