Wow! I just came back from a job. Not gonna tell you which one.. Exhausting but REALLY rewarding… To make so many people dance, happy, glad.. That true Simcha Shel Mitzvah… something almost similar to what they did in the Bais Hamikdash

Does anyone else here officiate at a Simchas Bais Hashoeva?

(if anyone sees me… flash me that secret CR sign)

    I’m here!!!

Avi, this is a place where people like me, who are scared of their shadow, to come together, to let their voices be heard, to let their talents (huh?) shine. A place to be able to develop…

No, there is NO replacement for an in-depth learning session. But the fact that you feel “empty” some days and want to make it up with “something” is proof that you’re very in touch with your Neshama’s calling. That’s your Neshama’s way of saying he’s hungry for “something”. So of course, when it’s not possible, anything will do, to the best of your ability. And just know that you’ll bezras HaShem, you’ll find time to do it the real way…

OOHH!!!! Decades and life spans ago!!!!

    (such GOOD OLD times..)

And now I come, again, to humbly beg Mechilla from anyone I may have hurt, angered, caused pain or distress, through any of my remarks. In a setting such as the CR it is often very hard to read into other’s circumstances, matzav, mood or situation. No one here knows if and what another may be suffering from, what makes them tick. His / her nisyonos, wants, cravings urges, indeed – entire makeup. So often a misstep or extra word in the wrong direction really rubs deep. Really deep. And hurtful. Very. (and if Mom wouldn’t be reading this, I’d say I know this from personal experience. Been there. Big time!!)

לעולם יהא אדם זהיר באונאת אשתו, שמתוך שדמעתה מצויה, אונאתה קרובה
Meforshim point out, it’s not only Ishto, it’s anyone in that Matzav. Anyone close to tears. And those tears are powerful… scary… Chazal enumerate some instances where tears were shed…

So, in light of the above, I beg each and every one of you, who I have tangled in the past, to please be Mochel me, with a full heart. I already made up, privately, to one I knew I hurt specifically, please too find it in your hearts to forgive.

Exactly. That’s what I’m getting at. So my question is, is that occurrence(s) enough to render the ENTIRE usage as being derived from Chilul Shabbos. Would you say that maybe gas pipes can break, so maybe there’ll be chilul Shabbos there and we can’t use gas? What is the criteria? Is an electric plant a definite need of human intervention (today) so as to render the whole as a product of chilul Shabbos?

No, I was not joking. I just didn’t (and still can’t) understand that someone has to be turning dials 24/7 to keep electricity going. Aren’t we somewhere in the 20th century? And if so, will such a minute (safek) intervention not invalidate the regular electricity use as being from a chilul shabbos?

ZD, I’m still in the dark (intended). Is that the way a generator has to be run, with someone constantly looking to see if it’s turning. Do you think maybe Israel should buy a better generator for their company, one that doesn’t need constant tinkering…

Could someone kindly explain to me what is the difference using a personal, private generator or the main Israeli one? Do you think that the main Israeli generator is TURNED / powered by humans (and Yidden no less)?

Could someone here enlighten (pun intended) me?

Please believe me, I have no interest in advertising. Actually I’d really, REALLY wish to remain anonymous, TO ALL, so I have no want for anyone’s business here.

I do Chasunas and other Jewish affairs. I have my unique style, which I make it VERY CLEAR at the beginning, It’s basically not really unique, just a lingering relish of the music and style that was. And there is (believe it or not) a discerning clientele that appreciates such music. I will not do any of today’s junk that passes as music (or whatever else they call those exercising / trance sessions in the middle of a wedding!).

And the same goes for the volume of the music. I do have enough machines to make it pleasant, to make it a true simcha, to get people REALLY in the dancing…. but I will not blow out anyone’s ears. I feel it is always more respectful to request the music be made louder, than to request me “to shut up”. I ALWAYS start low and adjust it upwards AS NEEDED, than the other way. During the meal tablemates can converse with one another, having soft music played the way it was intended to be – in the background. During dancing, again, it’s louder, obviously, to be able to give the crowd a “lift”, it’s pretty geshmack (if I may say so), but you won’t go home with your ears ringing.

    Overworked Mom:

(hey, wait a minute, the only overworked mom I know is Frogette.. and she certainly does not visit these hallowed walls of the CR (she’s too overworked!)).. (oops.. maybe it’s my mother… na.. since I got married and moved out she resumed breathing)

Take everything slowly, learn the “language” (Shparch). It takes time to get used to, with the time you’ll make friends with the kind of people you care. I didn’t – I jumped in way too fast, did not and could not understand the ins and outs, and ended up getting terribly burned. Um… yes, it hurt…

So generally, if you take it easy, are considerate and care for other’s and their feelings, you’ll have no problem.

    בהצלחה!

LB, I don’t mind you mot mentioning me, I haven’t “graced” this place with one of my “specialties” for some time… No, LB, I’m referring to those way before your time here… B”H most of the crowd here have long forgotten… I’ve somewhat “graduated”!!! (did I?) I used to live for this place, in this place 26/6, it doesn’t pull me that much anymore. Maybe it’s the new format (I HATE IT!!), maybe the turnover of “membership” (participantship), or maybe it’s just plain that I matured slightly… I don’t crave for that BIG BANG or SPLASH I used to.

No, I didn’t say or imply I’m leaving in the near future, only that I lost that addiction / craving for the unique camaraderie over here. Who knows, maybe there are real people out there to connect with?!?

Another force pushing me out is the knowledge that everything I write is chewed up (regurgitated and re-chewed) by family members. I’ve long lost my privacy… I cannot really write what I’d like to, nor express my true inner feelings to the world out there… to many relatives know my name (and worse – share my pieces!!). No – creating a new S/N unfortunately won’t fool them (someone please draw a sad faced thingy for me).

Spiral… know what everyone says? If I did it…

Actually I didn’t, at all. It really does not make ANY sense. Not the Shidduch, not the tickets, the money that “JUST” came at the right time.. the numerous Chasdei HaShem that popped up seemingly out of nowhere!!! If you knew my financial standing, my social standing etc… you’d understand! It does not make ANY sense. I have literally no נסיון of attempting to think it was ANY of my doing, any of my מעשים or even any of my תפילות. I could not have dreamt this up in my wildest dreams.

Pure מתנת חנם from HaShem, for reasons He alone knows. And our בקשה to Him, that He continue to shower us from His אוצר of מתנת חנם, our family and all of Klal Yisroel.

Thank you, everyone, for your warm wishes.

I’m sure you’re all waiting to hear how it went (please tell me so..).

IT WAS LIKE A DREAM ON CLOUD TEN!!!

It really was. The Chasuna was B”H so lively. So many people showed up, those who we knew.. those (relatives!) who we didn’t… it was just so beautiful. It was just going and going. We have SO MUCH to be thankful and grateful to the Ribono She Olam!!! The custom-made music band was terrific – exactly to our tastes.. a true, emes, Yidishe Simcha shel Mitzvah. The dancing!!! Circles!! Smiles… happiness… all around… הו
    דו לה כי טוב

Then there was this tremendous outpouring of Chesed from SO MANY PEOPLE – the entire two and a half weeks we were there… The family who hosted us (NO SMALL FEAT – ages 2 to 20) … the ones that saw to it that we were well stocked… the ones that prepared meals an INVITED us to INVADE at any hour of the day OR NIGHT… The ones who actually lent their car for the entire time (first time little me attempted to drive in EY!!!).. A special Bracha to our most wonderful Mechutanim… how they so nicely “guided and toingok us in”, showed us the ropes… And another most wonderful individual kept providing with cash (actually Sheqels) when needed (I think I have to repay, sometime!) מי כעמך ישראל!

THANK YOU, EVERYONE, IF YOU’RE READING THIS ׂׂ(even if you’re not)

And again, Thank You, HaShem for so much undeserved Chassodim מאוצר מתנת חנם. You, HaShem, know how undeserving I am, for this undreamed- of dream come true!

Actually I had an extra couple of minutes under the Chuppa, while the music was playing such soulful, moving, beautiful strains of music… such a heart stirring moment… I found time to be Mispalel for all of US (kid you not!), and for all of Klal Yisroel, who are in want and need of Yeshuos of any sort. No – you can’t say I was dry-eyed. (I wasn’t the least interested to see if others were too – or if they were peering at me!)

May we ALL share in each others’ Simchos – always have good and GREAT tidings to exchange.
