However if Joseph was your son he would definitely have identified you by all the personal details you’ve mentioned over the course of time. Nice bedtime story though. I noticed a while after I moved in to my current rental apartment that there is a crucifix design on both the wall and floor bathroom tiles. Do I have to replace them or can I rely on the response of the Rosh Yeshiva who when informed that a picture of 讗讜转讜 讛讗讬砖 was hanging on the wall of his hospital room replied “注专 讛注谞讙讟,? 讝讗诇 注专 讛注谞讙谉”?

But even if you did, your hashkafos have clearly changed since then. Your screen name alone is indicative of that. The definition of manitou; among the Algonquian Indians) a supernatural being that controls nature; a spirit, deity, or object that possesses supernatural power.
Quite telling that you chose that as your alias.

But since you ask; lighter roast when I need more caffeine, darker when I need less. No sugar (so one can actually taste the coffee), red milk if no cream or half & half is available.

November 21, 2018 10:32 am at 10:32 am in reply to: The world is in a state of Geula- and don’t misunderstand us! #1628183Uncle BenParticipantCS; “allot” means to assign as a share or portion, what you are trying to say is “a lot”.
Uncle BenParticipantI agree with Ferd that it is not ideal to travel on such a long trip so close to Shabbos. It’s not like a trip to the Catskills where you have the option to stop in Monsey or Monroe. However even if Charedim didn’t travel on this flight El Al would still fly it since there were only about 20 Charedim in Athens according to one of the passengers Rabbi Halberstam.

If you want first hand evidence, go to Montreal and speak to the other son of Shlomo Erez Elbaranes Hellbrans. He left the cult when he realized that it was a perversion of Yiddishkeit. I believe Shlomo Hellbrans wife also left when she was attacked. Now his daughter left and is planning to embrace the family of her husband’s first wife (daughter of the Kashau Rebbe) who opposed The Hellbrans cult for many years.
There is testimony from former members how they were given malkos in public for bizarre reasons such as drinking from water bottle! Uncle BenParticipantI once heard that due to its Kedusha and chashivus there was extreme competition among the wealthy and chashuvim over who would receive the kibud to lead the tzibur for Aanim Zemiros. Therefore to avoid this strife in Germany a takanah was instituted that it could only be led by someone under Bar Mitzvah. We see until this day this minhag in many Ashkenaz shuls. Other kehillos seem to have dealt with this issue by having the Shliach Tzibur of Musaf lead it.
Uncle BenParticipantInterjection; Thank you, that’s what I wanted cto know.
Uncle BenParticipantAre the over 3900 votes on YWN’s poll for allowing non vaccinated children into schools representative of parents of non vaccinated children?

November 14, 2018 7:12 pm at 7:12 pm in reply to: The world is in a state of Geula- and don’t misunderstand us! #1623760Uncle BenParticipantAs we approach 500 posts on this thread I think it’s time to put this discussion in perspective. There a a vort from either the Sfas Emes of Gur or the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz on the pasuk, Be’achris Hayomim Ho’emes Nederes. “Yeder Tzadik bakumt a giluy fun himmel az zayn derech iz di richtigeh derech, uber der klugeh Tzadik farshteyt az yeder Tzadik bakumt der zelber giluy!”
So it’s high time for TomimT and any Lubavichers who share his religious superiority complex to grow up.November 13, 2018 8:17 pm at 8:17 pm in reply to: The world is in a state of Geula- and don’t misunderstand us! #1622993Uncle BenParticipantMr. Tomim; I have yet to hear a mekor in the Torah for a designated live individual as Moshiach who thereafter died and is still designated as Moshiach min meisaya.

Just because the Dem took a slight lead yesterday doesn’t mean she’ll win. The numbers may seesaw back and forth until the final numbers are in.
November 7, 2018 10:33 am at 10:33 am in reply to: Election Results 2018 — Republicans Do Better Than Expected #1618773Uncle BenParticipantNeville: With the Dems in control of the State Senate, New York will now be more liberal than ever. Compounding that shift is the unfortunate fact that the Democrat caucus is more liberal than ever since several conservative Democrats were defeated in the Democrat primaries by far left challengers.
November 5, 2018 7:07 am at 7:07 am in reply to: Pro Vaccination Paranoia in the frum community. #1616993Uncle BenParticipantHaimy; Your point is accurate. The situation is similar to a plane or train disaster with multiple casualties R”l which receives widespread media coverage. On the other hand all the “minor” car crashes with a couple of victims are not reported in such a manner even though in total there are thousands of more deaths R”l from these “minor” incidents.
Uncle BenParticipantJoseph; When & where do the Moetzes make their deliberations public?
