tryinghardMemberTry putting a piece of your old night gown-PJ (whatever you sleep with), with the perfume you use on it, in his crib. That might be good enough for him. I know this worked for some people. Good luck to you!
tryinghardMemberI’m unsure how you pick a color. I guess a sales man in the store can help you with that. WIY, why is a wig supposed to be more of a “fashion statement”? (Wives of “real chassidim” aren’t into “that kind of stuff” either).
tryinghardMemberpopa_bar_abba-I thought this was a female. Was I wrong? Bar is for a lady, no?
tryinghardMemberThey actually do something…. unsure if what we do or don’t want…
tryinghardMemberDr. said it changes ph balance from body in the wrong way. It should be changed by eating an alkaline diet. I have a Chanson ionizer and am ready to sell for $1,200.00 (sells for $1,650.00) Mine was barely used.
tryinghardMemberThere is a difference between the one that costs $1500 and the one from Costco. The one for $1500 is a water ionizer as apposed to a water filter. My doc disapproves of ionizers. (I have one and am ready to sell for cheap-not to a yid though. If it’s not good for me it’s not good for you.)
March 1, 2012 4:18 pm at 4:18 pm in reply to: Problem Being Unable to Consume Much Alcohol – And Can't Get Drunk #866337tryinghardMemberAccording to my knowledge, one must be Happy on Purim. The mitzva of being happy on purim is just as great as fasting on Yom kippur. I’m sure having stomach pain from the wine doesn’t make you happy….
Pesach one is supposed to feel like a king. Sick king…. doesn’t make any sense to me…
tryinghardMemberSorry to hear DaMoshe. I can somewhat feel what you’re feeling.
Let yourself be helped! Don’t go to therapists. They are going to suck every penny out; with no help. You’re not in a situation where you need a listening ear, you need money. Talk to your family (they’re your friends) they feel for you. If mods allow, you can contact me via email. (I promise not to take a cent, perhaps I can help with your wifes medical issue). Hatzlucha Rabbah. May we all hear only bsiras tovas!
tryinghardMemberI’m already on IV (my home’s pesach’dig), and here you’re still thinking of themes? I don’t know if you’ll get to purim on time… you should’ve started preparing right after pesach.
tryinghardMemberWhy would anybody care to have a viewfinder on a camera. Picture aren’t any better; the LCD is automatically smaller. I have with; I wish I would’ve known the disadvantage when I bought it.
tryinghardMemberGood Job, Noach. We can use a few more like this one…
tryinghardMemberI bought a lamp as a gift for someone. Can you ppl plz help me w/a poem? You’re doing a good job….
I would like s/t like… We should always give you naches that illuminates your heart…. wtvr, u know…. TIA
tryinghardMemberSorry. I made a mistake…

No, “the hardest thing for you in your lifetime” (hopefully till 120).
Looking forward to hearing from you shortly. I don’t post often; but read often. Your posts were great! Miss you:-{
tryinghardMemberAt the beginning of each Binah They have a Your Say column. It would be very interesting if you can ask your question there. Would like to hear what they have to say about this. Same goes for Ami Magazine.

If you’re not chassidish, you can reach out to A TIME also. They’re not going to reject you. GUARANTEED!!
tryinghardMembera mamin, let me clarify. It was a women’s pocketbook. Since then, I feel just like when I buy a German made garment. I like that store for their cheap prices. “best in the world” being said on such a store, is wrong, IMO.
tryinghardMemberDo you mean the store ZARA? Bit materialistic, no? I like the fact that one can get cheap, good things. But, the BEST IN THE WORLD… Did you not get an email with a pic from a ZARA bag with a really big swastika? Guess not. Otherwise, you wouldn’t write what you did.
tryinghardMemberGetting a camera with a Li-on battery should be best. However, people who have hands that tremble are better off w/ the AS line, since the cameras in that line are bigger and heaver than the SD ones. Good Luck. Hope you’ll be happy with your decision.
tryinghardMemberBeautiful idea, yenta. Can we at least do it l”n Harav Finkel? I’m sure many will appreciate such a list.
Here’s one:
Mothers milk gemach-Mrs. Kohn-718-624-5145.
tryinghardMemberI’m skinny, but who cares? I don’t have blue eyes….
November 10, 2011 2:45 am at 2:45 am in reply to: Surgically created blue eyes and shidduchim #1088453tryinghardMemberIt sure is g’navias daas, because some unwitting prospect will think he is getting an upper-crust, blue-eyed, royalty-mannered shidduch, when in reality, he is getting a plain shlepper (and quite possibly, a Galiztianer to boot).—Hey! Am I a “PLAIN SHLEPPER” because I have brown eyes??

tryinghardMemberhodulashem-Ye Ms. Hodu, thank hashem for the good he gives you now. That stage is past and will never return. Always looking back does no good. You can just bump your nose…. Enjoy the present. It too will one day be the “very much missed past”.
tryinghardMemberKeep in mind: not always can one afford something they were able to 3 yrs prior. Leasing may be tricky.
tryinghardMemberI have. I believe it may have some truth in it. It’s not only the milk but meat too. Things today are full of hormones (which I guess answers your question).

Mom: She can get some much needed rest
Dentist: He knows he’s going to strike it rich. Candy throwing is out of hand, and should be stopped. 1 per child is enough.

tryinghardMemberFor sure. Not this year; Now. We are the “THEY” and we say it every day. Achaka lo bchol yoim sheyovoi.
tryinghardMemberIf you give me directions, I will do it. Just don’t know how to do it.
September 23, 2011 12:12 am at 12:12 am in reply to: Do Married Women Help Out Doing the Yard Work and Car? #1074705tryinghardMemberSorry that I’m carrying you away from this topic for a quick moment… I don’t know how to open a new Subject.
I tried clicking on the link on the left (about Sholam Rubashkin) but I don’t see where to sign the partition. Thnx much for your help! Tiska L’mitzvos.
tryinghardMemberUnsure. But since wraps are being discussed…. anybody have a good recipe for a wrap. No red meat, please. Simple would be great:)
tryinghardMember“I find that rude and unacceptable, unless there is an urgetn matter to attend to there is no excuse for gazing at a phone during a lecture or meal.”
Talking about kids…. What’s so urgent that they should need to gaze at their phone during lecture/meal?
tryinghardMemberSam2-All I know about the Satmar shittah on EY is that Rabbi Yoel said that Israel will be given to us yidden from hashem and one should not take the land before. I don’t think though that the NK group has anything to do with Satmar. Please correct if I am wrong.
tryinghardMemberIt is a smart and dumb idea. Both at once.
Smart) If looks are so important to a guy, why excite the girl with a date?
Dumb) It’s happened that you get to like someone regardless of looks after talking for a little while.
tryinghardMembermommamia22-Not drinking before going to bed “Does not help”. I tried it when I had a bed wetter at my house for a week. The child begged for a drink, but I refused, buying him a drink for recess instead. The last night he slept over, I no longer cared if he gets up wet (I ended up washing linen every day anyway) I gave him to drink before going to sleep. He woke up DRY. I don’t know what the reason is to all this, but telling a child not to drink way before bedtime is not fair. (I know you were only trying to help.)
tryinghardMember“Perfume or Cologne worn properly is not supposed to
make everyone in the vicinity turn around,-Well somehow it does. start sniffing or
sneezing-Right. Unfortunately, many ppl can use lessons on how to properly apply it.”
Guess you’re a man (bein_hasdorim). A man usually likes perfume on his wife…. Ppl w/o a wife, may like it on your wife. At times you don’t have to go that close to smell it…
tryinghardMemberJust curious…. Williamsburg girls wear heels? I too have a few guys wanting a tall girl. (meaning tall heels).
tryinghardMemberronsr, Mazel Tov to you! Many more happy years together with your shorty:). May she heighten you with a very lovely family and great kids. I’m short, I love myself;), especially in flats. B”H no objections from family members.
tryinghardMemberYes. It sure is great! The Burberry London is nice too.
tryinghardMemberBris mila was banned in the past (not in the U.S.). Do they not know all the stories I know about our parents risking their life just to perform bris mila on their precious little babies? Why are they trying anyway. It’s a waste of time…
tryinghardMemberIf you’re still unsure if you did the right thing… It ended up costing you $$$… I would like to buy this great mitzvah from you. Your/my/our grandparents gave their life to make a kiddish hashem, what’s a few dollars??? My father had a similar story not too long ago. When he told the supervisor about the mistake, he said “Only a jew would be honest enough to come back”. It was a few hundreds he was charged short. Mi ka’amchu yisroel!
tryinghardMemberFor the lactose intolerant members, try the Parve cheesecake from Queens Pita on Main. I got that suggestions a while back from a member in the cr. I had to stop cheese cause my child was allergic to it. Theirs is a great replacement. Have a great Yom tov!
