Torah613TorahParticipant
To me it doesn’t taste as good, but it will keep for at least a week or two after expiration.
March 8, 2013 4:50 pm at 4:50 pm in reply to: 50 Y.O. Women Grocery Shopping In 3" Heeled Pumps On A Slushy Thursday Night? #938881Torah613TorahParticipantDo you really want Bloomberg to start cracking down on 50 year olds wearing high heels on slushy nights???
Keep your thoughts to yourself. You don’t have to do it but really. They want to, their business, it can’t hurt you.
Torah613TorahParticipantrealtalk: Yesterday I exercised, I had sushi for lunch, and blood tests would not prove anything. Although the last time I had one it was fine.
And, I was joking, but I guess it doesn’t come across unless there’s a smilie.
Torah613TorahParticipantSecularFrummy A bit longer??? A bit more than a bit.
Torah613TorahParticipantSqueak: LOL. I had a teacher once who argued your point here, maybe you’re she? For those interested, it’s an optical illusion that has to do with the way they put up the flag on the moon, not an actual wind.
Torah613TorahParticipantThank you yossicoco! Let me get back to you m”Sh please.
March 8, 2013 4:38 pm at 4:38 pm in reply to: Should someone become a Rabbi as a career path? #935439Torah613TorahParticipantWIY: There’s a difference between becoming a Rabbi and needing to sustain a family, and davka going into it as a “career path” like becoming a professor.
It’s not a career it’s a lifestyle. It’s who you are.
Torah613TorahParticipantmodchebp, please split your post into paragraphs so it is more easily readable.
Torah learning is important for all of us. We also don’t want to accept Tzedaka. We also want to do what’s best spiritually and in gashmius.
It’s a personal decision and I agree that comparisons with other people shouldn’t enter into the equation.
Torah613TorahParticipantSpooky. I try not to think about this type of thing unless there’s an obvious conclusion to be drawn.
Torah613TorahParticipantA mamin:

There are also lots of comments on the YW main page with the news article!
Let’s be dan l’kaf zchus. Remember there are a lot of posts in other topics as well, and it’s easy to miss due to the high post volume lately.
Torah613TorahParticipantland
Torah613TorahParticipantI wonder if the posters here can give you virtual smicha??
Anyway, this is the type of question you really need to ask your Rebbe
Torah613TorahParticipantArtScroll children’s Haggaddah.
Torah613TorahParticipantWIY: I’m not so sure. He does spend all his money on NYC, and I believe he sincerely is trying to do what HE thinks is best for the people’s health. He’s just misguided.
Torah613TorahParticipantold man: Interesting. I like that.
Akuperma: Thank you for a clear and reasonable answer.
Squeak: Stop confusing people.
Torah613TorahParticipantWhy don’t you post it here? We don’t all know it by heart yet.
Torah613TorahParticipantA generous person who really loves me has offered to buy me some Schmerling (I really shouldn’t have told them I like it, but it came up in casual conversation). I tried to stop them but really can’t argue with Schmerling.
I feel like a James Jameson ad.
Torah613TorahParticipantNever drink coffee. Can’t stand the stuff, or caffeine in general for that matter.
March 8, 2013 12:00 am at 12:00 am in reply to: Should someone become a Rabbi as a career path? #935426Torah613TorahParticipant??? ???? ????: ?? ???? (?? ???? ?????) ???? ?????? ???, ??? ????? ????? ???
Rabbi Zadok said: Do not make the Torah a crown to honor yourself, or a shovel to dig with it (and make a living), as Hillel says. Anyone who uses the sharpness of Torah for his own purposes, will be cut by it – anyone who benefits from Divrei Torah cuts his own life from the world.
Torah613TorahParticipantWow you guys are really helpful. 🙂
Torah613TorahParticipantA mamin, you clearly did not read the other topics. We had at least 2 topics about the tragedy, and several more tangentially related.
Torah613TorahParticipantHe’s like that annoying older sister who only wants what’s best for you.
Torah613TorahParticipantListen to yytz.
Torah613TorahParticipantRealtalk: No. There is something wrong with you. You should see a doctor. Healthy people like chocolate.
Torah613TorahParticipantShnitzy – more like you’re growing into it.
Torah613TorahParticipantu r craZ.
me monkey. eat bannas. mommy tipe shkspr.
me curis.
go way nitzy. lemme eat bannas.
Torah613TorahParticipantbumping so I’ll remember to ask…
Torah613TorahParticipantR.T. Something goes wrong when more than one html character is used.
Torah613TorahParticipantIf you’re up at 1am, what time do you get up in the AM?
Torah613TorahParticipantI can’t see them.
Torah613TorahParticipantYou are cute.
So I tried, but apparently only one html character is allowed per subtitle.
Then I realized I was saying “change in Torah”. But the Torah cannot be changed! ?? ?????? ??? ????? ??? ???? ?’ ???? ????! Were you trying to make me into an apikores???
The conclusion is that Torah is cannot be treated as a variable, and my subtitle will just have to provide food for thought.
March 6, 2013 5:55 am at 5:55 am in reply to: Rather than Staring Blankly at the Four Walls, You… #934742Torah613TorahParticipantMy time is not free. I charge $12/hr just for posting in this coffee room.
Torah613TorahParticipantI mean new driver, I think.
Although at this point of the day, anything is possible.
Torah613TorahParticipantI like running. Not too much opportunity though.
Torah613TorahParticipantokay, okay, I’ll go look.
Torah613TorahParticipantSomeone told me they have a Schmerling bar in their house today, and they weren’t planning on eating it. So I went all the way home with them just to get the bar. And it turned out to be a pareve Torino bar…
Such is life.
Torah613TorahParticipantDR: You can’t expect us to answer that, we hardly know you. Post a bit more and we’ll be more opinionated about it.
Torah613TorahParticipantThanks for a positive thread, haifagirl.
Torah613TorahParticipantAnyone who signed that, will not be answering your question.
Actually, that’s not true. One of my siblings’ schools made my parents sign that the internet is for educational purposes only. Our definition of “educational” has rather expanded in recent months.
Torah613TorahParticipantHave a great time!
March 6, 2013 5:42 am at 5:42 am in reply to: Rather than Staring Blankly at the Four Walls, You… #934740Torah613TorahParticipantWhat’s free time?
Torah613TorahParticipantWIY: Are they really knowledgeable? Last time I tried online Rabbis, it was askmoses, and I wasn’t terribly impressed.
Torah613TorahParticipantI have an answer?
Torah613TorahParticipantThanks Tzaddiq and pb27!
March 6, 2013 5:38 am at 5:38 am in reply to: Do the women in your house do heseiba (lean)? #1070802Torah613TorahParticipantYes, but I don’t find it comfortable.
Torah613TorahParticipantI like the Rav Avigdor Miller speaks series.
Torah613TorahParticipantThanks Shnitzy, coulda told you that. 🙂
WIY maybe as a last resort
Dash very clever.
Torah613TorahParticipantIt seems several things flew right over my head. *waves*
Torah613TorahParticipantIf it is a perfect invisibility cloak, why can Moody’s eye see through it?
Torah613TorahParticipantThe big brown unabridged one that’s like 3 inches (or two big inches) thick. Thank you, SaysMe.
