cherry- R shach told a close talmid (who happens to be my rebbe and my closest friends father) that from the first sichah called bo liganee (or something like that- i dont make it my business to keep up on his stuff) it was apparent to R shach that the rebbe thought he was moshiach and was encouraging his chassidim to think so too.

yossi- i dont understand you. clearly the world percieves them to be more than a few wackjobs. i live near a lubavitch yeshiva in yerushalayim and the “bochurim” are consistently seen wearing moshiach pins. shouldnt their rabbeim tell them not to? and why dont you get up and set the record straight? ie- yell that the rebbes not moshiach? if this image is so damaging to the chassidus then why isnt there a large-scale efort to see these groups quashed? the overwhelming silence of the mainstream nonyechiniks seems to indicate there arent any. not one lubob rav ever comes out against them. it makes no sense. so logic says its not a few nuts. what am i missing?

actually there are credible people who do it and its not kishuf. i know theres an alte bubbitchka in meah shearim who does it, and i once spoke to someone whos a bukki in these things and he told me its very real. i know i havent brought one single legit source, but all im saying is its not kishuf. neither is chochmas hapartzuf etc.

oy vey- you cant come from your hashkafic perspective, give people titles and kavod, and then have taanos when people who disagree vehemently with your hashkafos dont like the same things you do. its a catch 22. they dont hold of yu or its faculty, they are against it because their gedolim were too, and therefore they dont want a publication in their house that promotes values they dont like. your sarcasm is a crutch.sounds dumb. for the record i saw the patchkevill up this week. it says like the post above. and its mipharet mishpacha.

dr. suess- if i had a massive following that CV”S would say the mra”h was Hashem and i would say it publicly then i would need to retract. so many of them believe it, if he doesnt he should have said so. and its not kooks-its so mainstreamed you woulodnt believe. again, if mainstream doesnt believe the rebbe is moshiach, and it tarnishes the image of their whole chassidus and makes them into a laughingstock wouldnt it make sense to you that they would come out against these people? at least discourage the baruch habba melech hamoshiach signs? but they dont. their silence is a resounding affirmation. they believe it too.

My grandmother a”mush, was in line for mengele y”msh to go right or left. she had been in transport for days and was running a high fever, along with severe malnutrition. she told me that she looked terrible and everyone was scared for her. they were telling her to slap her cheeks etc., to look healthier. out of nowhere, a nazi nurse stepped over to her and wordlessly gave her an aspirin. by the time she got to the front of the line she looked healthier. and she made it.

jothar- tell me if im reading between the lines but wouldnt that mean that these desperate measures, taken to insure klal yisroels survival, were therefore wrong, and , as such, should be replaced or better restored, to original orthodoxy, not the watered down version. i dont get it. if its all on his shoulders and he was maskim its wrong now, whose shoulders are all the MO people on? and why dont his “talmidim” revert back to the original?
