we dont mean stupid. we mean that the analytical reasoning that one needs to learn gemara is extremely difficult for women. not that theyre dumb. ok fine, not really dumb.

sam2- the language adapted from loshon kodesh by a min and kofer should be called loshon kodesh?!?! the words are wacky, many based on mistranslations and misunderstandings in psukim, and he was michadesh words that according to many rishonim didnt exist before solely because it was loshon kodesh. a sefer torah written by a kofer must be burned. and dont tell me all the left wing atheists are speaking lshon kodesh as they denounce any relation to judaism, Hashem, and His torah. feh.

girls cannot learn gemara. i heard the most awesomest line from a rov in yerushalayim who was explaining why shana rishona guys shouldnt try to tell over their chabura to their wives.

Husband “the gemara in gittin daf..says, a person was stuck in a pit and called out to give his wife a get etc,”

Wife “Why didnt someone just pull him out of the pit?! thats what women are for-to help out the dumb guys standing around analyzing bla bla bla….”

As funny as it sounds, go try it on your wife, mine stuck to the script dead on. its hilarious.

hello99- i had to retract my statement. in regards to your taaneh, i disagree. the chofetz chaim is mivu’ar that if people are following someone kineged hatorah its a mitzva to speak out. i personally saw the letter that R shlomo miller shlita of toronto wrote against him. and R Shlomo isnt manipulated by askanim. also funny how you jump to shry lh on me when all the kollel/chareidi bashing doesnt bother you that much, and loshon hora (or motzi shem ra) is tzen mohl ehrger on a tzibbur.

whoa health, thanks for the mention. as bonkers as this will sound, after quitting i realized that the whole thing is blown way out of proportion. the key factor, i believe, is ones motivation to quit the smoking. i call it interested factor. if your quitting smoking cuz you know its unhealthy and your doc said youll die in 5 years, you’ll have a nearly inpossible time quitting. why? because YOU dont WANT to. you are told you need to. but darn, you really wanna keep smoking. so you will. but if you want to quit, for whatever reason you think is good enough ie- youre kallah will break off your engagement or your mother might kill herself, then you actually want to stop, and then you will. once you internalize this point, quitting becomes a joke. my book will be in stores next week. support!

wow i deliberately put in a troll comment (not that i usually do, it just seemed to perfect) and people bit. n slifkin was banned by gedolim. im publicly stating my charatah that people took me seriously. there are better people to ask that are just as knowlegable, and have a solid torah hashkafa. like me, for example.

halevi- interestingly enough, someone once showed me a sefer from the gaon in which he says that the in year the state ended up being founded in, there would be a segulas hazman to bring the geula, but in the end the resha’im would make use of it to do somehting bad. and in that year the state was founded. and the gaon wrote his sefer along time before.

two reactions- 1- if obama is dealing with an ally, a world power, who hates jews, he has nothing to lose by not confronting him, and sucking up a bit. they both go home happy. no-one knows and no-ones the wiser.

2- we know he doesnt like us. whats the stink about.
