December 20, 2011 9:21 pm at 9:21 pm in reply to: why do the rules of dreidel seem to change every year? #836460ToiParticipant
the amount of shots you down on gimmel seems to be rising in recent years…
ToiParticipantlemaysa- kikar tziyon and crack square are one and the same.what makes me wanna throw up is seeing so many “bochurim” and bnos yisroel acting the way they do. and seeing this pritzus and knowing its jews and that where theyre holding is a zillion times worse then the subway.
ToiParticipantSYG- shtuch burn major fancy sounding geshmakke’ english, what??
ToiParticipantintersant.
ToiParticipantya.im getting modded/deleted every time i post. its maddening.
ToiParticipantnooooooo shaychis. kikar tziyon/crack square is a disgusting place to be. if i ever have to go there (theres a ATM that gives dollars which i need to pay rent) i get all queasy and wanna throw up. no shaychis to anywhere in america.
ToiParticipanti know a dude who was a cop. now he lives in israel.
ToiParticipantChazon Ish said yaharog vi’al ya’avor. i think thats pretty clear cut. he didnt say “sometimes”.
ToiParticipantoomis- do you have your ears pierced? cuz thats where the nirtzas was. as an aside i totally think its gross.
ToiParticipantthey will turn you in to a carrot. and being a carrot isnt fun.
ToiParticipantcan the mod who is consistently deleting all my posts for NO reason at least tell me why?!
ToiParticipantj31- so we’ll wear formal dress in honor of the torah. sic.
ToiParticipantsotah.
ToiParticipantindividualism isnt toluy in a shirt color. grow up.
ToiParticipantwho says there couldnt? wheres youre hanacha coming from? Moshe had a din KG for the hakamas hamishkan.
ToiParticipantt-shirt:
drink your beer!there are sober kids in Africa!
ToiParticipanttheyre crazy. no live and let live thing here. thats a treif hashkafa. thats not shalom. thats a lack of caring for how Hashem’s torah is to be observed. if chillul shabbos bothers you this should, too.
ToiParticipanttea is bad. who the heck drinks tea.
ToiParticipantfeif- just jokes. figured i had to throw you something youd expect.
ToiParticipantapushitayid- my wife exercises regularly. i asked her what zumba is, cuz i aint got a clue, and she replied “yuch, its shaking parts of your body you should be embarassed to do in private.” i guess its not like regular exercise.
ToiParticipantshticky- i think the best would be “as an aside”
i thought to save was ratevven?
ToiParticipantya everyone do whatever you want and the world will be a happier place!!!retarded.
ToiParticipantanother warm and fuzzy qb and mp thread. dont know how i missed this one.
ToiParticipantmc- whats a gaint?
feif-there is a concept of knowing who is a gadol by who klal yisrael seems to pick as their gedolim. giving someone a title doesnt mean klal yisrael chose him.
ToiParticipantyour son is probably a boy correct? theres usually only one motivation for a boy to attend anyhting co-ed. ’nuff said.
ToiParticipantfunny enough, i daven ashkenaz and, as per halacha, say kedusha nusach sfard when davening with them. i find that chassidim usually say their own nussach when in ashkenazi shuls. do they have a psak of their own?
November 30, 2011 11:00 am at 11:00 am in reply to: Why do ONLY seminary girls get to learn navi? #858998ToiParticipantcorey- because that hasnt been the curriculum in yeshivos since they started. R shach said that you end up learning nach from gemara. and anyway your just trying to stir the pot up again, so i dont think you really want an answer.
ToiParticipantmachlokes Ramban and chovos halvavos.
ToiParticipanti dont understand this. every person so far who has posted in favor of this zumba thingy (i have no clue what it is) has repeatedly said “ya, i understand that its not tznius and its probably not so good or refined BUT WHATEVER, I LIKE IT SO ILL KEEP DOING IT” people get a grip; we’re not talking about a favor flavor of ice cream. for the same price i can replace the word zumba with pig meat. dont you see how krum this is??!
November 30, 2011 10:49 am at 10:49 am in reply to: It's time for the Imas to save our children from the Nile again. #831451ToiParticipantaries- youre point is a valid; no-one is saying its not. i agree that tis a terrible thing to be ignored and the harshest methods shold be employed to stop it. but youre turning every single thread into an anti-molestation vendetta. we’re not arguing with you, but stop hijacking.
ToiParticipantthis corey person is the most obvious troll ever to present himself on this site. why do people continue to respond to these threads?
ToiParticipantwhy are my posts getting modded again!?!?!?!?!
November 27, 2011 10:08 pm at 10:08 pm in reply to: Eating at peoples houses with teenage daughters? #984058ToiParticipanto stop nitpicking.
ToiParticipantyit- its not our job to go round up support and respect for rishonim. it IS our job to accord them the proper respect, and these excuses dont hold water. what i mean to point out is the underlying nekuda; you wouldnt catch R Shmuel Kamenetsky shlita refering to rishonim that way, because it simply doesnt befit them. im not advocating talking yeshivish (whatever exactly that means in this particular case) rather, being a mentsch.
ToiParticipantsam2- it is a fair complaint. a certain respect for the greatest gedolim of all time should take precedence over catering to an audience.
the fact that such an underlying, obvious nekuda is overlooked by him testifies as to the esteem we hold him in. claim what you want. he should be a jew first; an academic second.
November 27, 2011 5:57 pm at 5:57 pm in reply to: Eating at peoples houses with teenage daughters? #984056ToiParticipantsaying thank you is must and saying the food was good too. but more then that is overstepping. al tarbeh sicha im ha’isha didnt disappear from chazal.
ToiParticipantRSRH- look in artscrolls biography of R Shamshon ztl. itll explain your error.
ToiParticipantbaltimore or toronto?
ToiParticipantone- drain it as far as you can till it wont even turn on. then charge it till full. should increase battery life.
November 24, 2011 9:35 pm at 9:35 pm in reply to: Why do ONLY seminary girls get to learn navi? #858987ToiParticipantQB- 1. chill out.
2.Its called Yeshiva world. so bounce.
ToiParticipanttouro. YU is for girls.
ToiParticipantor that youve read several articles about gedolim saying its not ok and you want to stir this up?
ToiParticipantapushitayid- if R Gifter said it we can, too; he wouldnt have said it in public unless he held it was emes li’amitoh. Mr. lamms torah hashkafos and views cant hold water if he expressly ridicules and berates It’s most dedicated followers. go jump in a lake.
ToiParticipantyum. pass the stuffin’
ToiParticipantyay mp. thats so warm and fuzzy.
ToiParticipantno no. i appreciate 80s excuse but i disagree with his appropriation by calling mr. lamm an acharon, and if R Mordche Gifter Ztl called him that i can too. the man insulted gedolei yisroel, bnei torah, and all they stand for. He called them cavemen; i can call him lamm.
ToiParticipantgaw- im getting modded on this thread, even though im actually keeping my cool. dont know why.
ToiParticipantdont hit when your mad. but hit.
ToiParticipantwhat the? please explain how a quote from n lamm saying that Torah needs more to be a more complete truth and that a truer vision is possible with both can be understood without admitting that something is lacking in torah. that is retarded. R shach didnt learn “maada”. the quote alone is diturbing. feh!!
November 23, 2011 6:47 pm at 6:47 pm in reply to: Eating at peoples houses with teenage daughters? #983988ToiParticipantvery bad. sure if youre the style house that would encourage opposite gender socialising then what was ure shaylah? eluh maiy, you think theres a problem. its not tznius. the guys are noticing the girls the whole time, a vice versa. dont kid yourself.
