ToiParticipant
sam2- not being ovdei az is darshinan taamei dikra. its mivuar it applies to everyone.
– the rambam says that praising them causes hisdabkus. youre right that it could be things that are a shvach bi’etzem ie praising philanthropy and not a hook shot. but its ossur.
– what does the kitzur say?
ToiParticipantgrill very big cockroaches.
ToiParticipantk seriously. im not doing the whole kana’us thing, but people on this thread are really being over on an issur di’oraysah. what do you not get? look at the Rambam hilchos akum perek yud halachah daled. its also paskened in shualchan aruch. do you people not keep the torah??
ToiParticipantand if you think that netanyahu is my representative, youve recently been over on the sin of drunkenness.
ToiParticipantSam2- i thought of that when reading his post, but i really havent got the koach.
ToiParticipantnisht- have a shot. he probably meant yichus.
ToiParticipantseriously, i dont understand why you people are debating their taanos from a halachic standpoint. when a conservative dude asks me to prove him wrong about a mic and guitar on shabbos i laugh and walk away. they dont deserve an answer from anyone with an IQ over 50.
ToiParticipantnfgo3- im not sure if youre joking or really clueless, but there are thousands of jews in israel who would go bonkers on the palis if they wouldnt get in trouble.
ToiParticipantjust goes to show you that smicha can mean nothing. the man is married to a non jewess. thats bad.
ToiParticipantTII
ToiParticipantzdad- i didnt say your emotional reaction was silly. i said that to think that your emotional reaction should be an influencing force in deciding a halachic shaylah is silly. i already stated i would check into the inyan of a righteous gentile and the application of the term in this halachah.
ToiParticipantill look into the actual shaylah, but your comment is a dangerous one. being emotionally involved and feeling strongly about something doesnt make it true or correct from a torah standpoint. halachah has rules and guidelines, and psak isnt toluy on emotions. feeliong strongly about a woman wearing a tallis at the kosel doesnt mean a thing, and its silly for you to ascribe worth to your feelings in regard to halachah.
ToiParticipantdont move to beit shemesh. ha!!!!!!
ToiParticipantzdad- and if theyd simply worn talleisim, the drunk peasants wouldve laid down their pitchforks…
ToiParticipantgoldfish. the wholesome snack that smiles back until you bite their heads off.
ToiParticipantI’m gonna echo the thoughts of the clsed thread. the gemara in avoda zara clearly says it is ossur for them to find favor in your eyes. Rashi learns it means to appreciate their beauty. the Rambam in yud, daled, hilchos AZ says it refers to more things. In S”A the heter brought down is if you say “look at that beautiful briyah Hashem created”, thereby attributing the gadlus to Hashem. Stam commenting on them finding favor in your eyes is pashtus an issur di’oraysah. I dont care if you think its extreme, its literally a mifurahe halachah.

ToiParticipantbeautiful neshamos who are making a mistake of astronomical proportions when they claim to be liberating the kosel.
ToiParticipantHey!! No links!!
ToiParticipantjewishfeminist- you clearly havent seen their website. they openly state their priorities of blurring any and all lines of halachah to fit with the suffragette feeling of western society.
ToiParticipantBond. Gold Bond.
ToiParticipanttheir home page speaks of liberating the Kosel, for crying out loud. they do not intend to simply ‘daven’ once a month, they want to remove any and all traces of authentic yiddishkeit. how can that not be problematic?
ToiParticipantas i stated before, if they were really serious about being as good as men (myin?), they should grow beards to match. stupid nushes.
ToiParticipantmy tatty could beat you up, even with only his pinky!
ToiParticipantyes
ToiParticipantrob- actually i live in yerushalayim. where do you live?
youre retarded if you think that im influenced by nk, and i am speaking from personal experience.
i dont understand your last comment.
ToiParticipantzdad- i dare you to walk around the secular parts of tel aviv in a kippa (if you wear one) and tzitzis hanging out. if you do that AND you arent spit at and cursed out, besides being treated like second class, then come back and talk.
