To be or not to beMemberI know it’s hard but stop wondering why you have depressing thoughts THAT JUST FEEDS INTO THE VICOUS CYCLE if you don’t want to think about lions tigers and bears( oh my) then you don’t tell yourself “I don’t want to think about lions tigers and bears” , you think about zebras. same here don’t beat yourself up over being depressed move on from the depressing feeling and don’t worry about WHY it happened just then try thinking about stuff that makes you feel good about yourself.
and don’t worry about abandoning the world around you. it is very possible that your social anxiety AND your depression are both symtoms of the same underlying problem , and working on one will positively affect the other issue . have a great yom tov and always keep smiling. we are all rooting for you!!

To be or not to beMemberI once heard that briskers are makpid to eat on certain fast days which are only d
rabbunun because of the d
orysah of u`shmartem es nafshoseichem.Given that…
A newly married brisker comes home after shachris on asuhra b`teves and sees a bare dining room table. Turning to his wife, he asks, “where’s breakfast?”
“but its asuhra b`teves”, she replies in wonderment.
“I thought you knew that briskers are makpid to eat though”, he retorts.
“Ok. I didn’t realize”, she says. “why don’t you go into the living room and learn a little while I make breakfast?”
Twenty minutes later the Kallah calls in her husband for breakfast. Seeing the table set for two, he turns to his wife and asks “why is the table set for two?”
“What do you mean? I made us breakfast”, she answers.
the husband turns to his wife and asks, “But who said you’re frum enough to keep my chumrahs?”

I will check out the sugya during night seder im yertze hashem and regarding machnesei rachamim, a pshat I heard is that we are asking the malachim that we create through our mitzvos to bring our zchusim to hashem ( remember those malachim you learnt about in school? wholehearted mitzvos get healthy malachim and vice versa?)

I don’t understand what you are trying to say. are you saying that rebish cousins who marry each other are more susceptible to genetic disease than regular cousins marrying each other? less susceptible? and who is this “most say”?

“In the future, the Messianic king will arise and renew the Davidic dynasty, restoring it to its initial sovereignty. He will build the Temple and gather the dispersed of Israel…Anyone who does not believe in him or does not await his coming, denies not only the statements of the other prophets, but those of the Torah and Moses,” i.e., apikorus

he denies that there will be a moshiach, being that that is one of the yud gimmel ikrim that qualifies as apikorsus.

To be or not to beMemberPicture a skyscraper being built, as long as the spire is not up, the scaffolding stands, the construction trucks( and union protesters) are parked outside, the tower can still be built taller and bigger. But once it’s done there is no more fixing up, no more buiding higher, no more growing. Life is similar, your goal on this world is to build your own skyscraper. It isn’t easy, you gotta start by mixing the cement, making the bricks by yourself, sometimes having to shlep up 100 floors with huge cinder blocks with no one to help you . but in the end, you have a beautiful, shining, golden tower. there are challenges along the way, permits, building codes, angry neighbors, and bad weather. You also need to build that all important twin tower side by side with yours. but if you persist, and continue with your God-given talents, you will have a beautiful, shining, golden tower complex and you will be able to lean back on your penthouse porch, looking over the city of towers spreading out from your tower complex. with a smile ,knowing that this is yours, and thanking hashem for a wonderful life
To be or not to beMemberWestkreuz station was built in the course of the electrification (with third rail) of the “Stadtbahn” cross-city railway, the Ringbahn and the suburban lines connected from East and West to the “Stadtbahn”. Before, Ringbahn-trains had to call at Charlottenburg station. The station was opened on 10 December 1928, as a two-level-station under the name Ausstellung (Exhibition, for its closeness to the Messe Berlin fairgrounds), which was changed to its current name in 1932.
To be or not to beMemberThe saddest thing was, when I motioned to a talker nicely to stop, and he starts talking louder and yelling about the chutzpa of me telling him to be quiet and that I am making more noise then he is. Then he tells me to go to a different minyan if I want to daven, and told me a shul is not just made for davening but also to socialize. Sad.. very sad

To be or not to beMember“i always think that no one besides me has problems and ive ruined that *perfect life* for myself.but i guess its not true.btw can you still be happy despite the problems ”
first of all, there is no one, absolutely no one with a perfect life. what I mean by that is that you will make many choices in your life, for each one there is a positive, negative, or neutral outcome. there are many possible positive outcomes in life but perfection is not possible on this necessarily imperfect world

To be or not to beMemberI think it depends on the self confidence of the bump. Some wait restlessly, pacing back and forth in the dusty halls of the CR archives waiting to be thrust back in to the lime light and strut gloriously across our consciousness for another few weeks time. while others cower in the corner, shrinking any time a mouse hovers overhead, fearing that they will have to shake off the dust and comeback into the sunlight.

To be or not to beMemberFrom my knowledge of journeys I don’t think any others aren’t his, although part of “od yeshoma” in “dviekus” is from a non jewish song ( what can we do with a drunken sailor-irish rovers). As to my personal preference, I prefer diaspora’s version due to it’s sparsity(not sure if that’s a word). I like songs with periods of silence between the notes-a revach lhisbonien- I know that sounds weird but that’s who I am
