Dear all Coffee Room participants,
I sit here today reading this section of the most beautiful frum roundtable discussion. Even though I personally know Rabbi Boteach, I will not take any side of the argument. Though I would like to share with you my personal holistic view on what is happening here. I feel like I would like to stress one point that was not inculcated to us.
We sit here writing about random topics, people, yeshivas, rabbis, organizations etc. It is just coincidental that it also happens to be Elul. Putting all that into consideration we still feel a need to blast Rabbis publicly, when WE are the frum crowd that should be better than the outside world. Not realizing that #1 its lashon hara, #2 its Elul, #3 we are talking about REAL people. (publicly)

My mom used to make an amazing tasty cholent.
When she passed away, I wanted to make cholent, so I opened her cookbook to her cholent recipe, and I found the secret ingredient!
P.s. I ran out of his meat, so stoped making a cholent. Does anyone know where I can get some more???

Reason for such:
Both Michlola and Ohr Somayoch are known as yeshivas/seminaries for sophisticated people!
Btw YW Band, just curious, what type of family is this boy from? From where?
I know some what of the yeshiva and…………
1) There is about 20 different programs.
2) There are programs raining from basic Judaism, to an intense smicha/chinuch program.
3) There are boys that learn half a day in Ohr Somaych, and half in Mir, or Barry Klien, etc.
4) If the boy is an FFB and is in Ohr Somaych, he is probably a very bright and an open minded person.
5) Ohr Somayoch is known to have bright and intelligent guys (they have a big crowd from Harvard, Yale, U Penn, M.I.T., Cornell Columbia etc).
6) Believe it or not, there are hundreds of boys who have gone from regular homes. From Flatbush to California, from Monsey to Teaneck etc.
Any thoughts???
Obviously nobody has the intention to hold onto it forever!
On the other hand when you date a guy and he smokes, you have to take into account:
1: you started dating him, and you knew he smokes.
5: never judge the flaw of another! To quit smoking might be harder than you all can imagine.
