Shebbesonian- the word “recomended” in the crc app/website mean “kosher” and “not recomended” means not kosher”. Technically alot of things are “kosher” but we dont necesarily use/eat them unless they are “recomended” by kashrus authorities. I dont see ANY kashrus authorities that list them as “recomended”. Kashrus is a big deal. Something to be taken seriously.

Youre all rookies. You got to do what i do. Go to a minyan that doesnt care to start on time. No matter how late you show up youll be number 9 or10 and theyll still finiah before every other shul in town. Thats the life

What makes someone crum is if they hav intense views that are against daas torah. Meaning they don’t have a rebbe who they t urn to when needed.

Obviously, if the person is a huge talmid chacham and he’s completely crum (Marcus jastrow), he had no dt. But we have to assume that our own rebbeim are not just leading us on, they are actually giving us the best advice possible

Trust 789. That’s not true, that’s simply asking ahalacha question because he knows more halacha than you.

We all have to live our lives according to the way the torah wants us to live our lives, unfortunately, we, on our low level, don’t understand the torah fully like they did in past generations. So we turn to our gedolim to help us out.

Now they’re not perfect, but it’s the best we can do.

Worse case scenario, they’re wrong, and when the beis din shel maalah asks us, we did all we can.

But we MUST realize that wer must try as hard as we can to get the way we live our lives (not just halacha shailos) from the torah and those who represent the torah.

Good point, I’ll consider it next time, when I’m about to use a plastic plate and throw it away, I will think, yes! I’m happy!

All of you are very smart, obviously you are smart because you can bring out random maareh mekomos (sarcasm intended). But there is prob a good reason you’re on yeshiva world and not in the shiur room.

This discussion is done in my books.

If you have no kavod for gedolum and you’re not machshiv what you’re sons rebbeim are teaching them, please keep it to yourself. It doesn’t matter how many seforim you can quote, you are crum.

I just hope no yeshiva guys are on this thread…

Baal habaatim should stay as baal habaatim and not try t to uproot the way our yeshiva’s (who obviously have the actual haskama of the gedolim, not just their gabbaim signing off) are doing things.

I know plumbing, when I do work in yeshiva’s the rebbeim don’t try to change the way I do things in the plumbing, I ,like all of us baal habaatim should not either.

There is no possible discussion for daas torah, it is right, if you don’t believe that, I don’t know what to tell you.

I read orchos tzadikim shaar torah, and yes, he does say that we forget to learn gemora these days, but if you were to read the entire shaar, and not pick a nd chose you would realize that he says we don’t understand the gemara, so the way to do that is through rishonim and achronim.

I am not arguing iyun vs bekiyus, they are both very important, I don’t feel I am on a madreiga to decide which one is “better”.

And as pulsing flower said, the tosefos harash is not just a “better writer” than tisefos. That’s ridiculous. Top think rishonim are just wasting their time is basically apikorses.

This thread should end, being that if yeshiva guys were to read this they can be turned off by a bunch of stupid posters who think they know everything.

I’m not arguing the point if bekiyus vs iyun. I’m arguing that diyukim in rishonim and achronim are within our mesorah. Saying otherwise is basically admitting you are an am haaretz, which I have no doubt you obviously are.

There is nothing else to really talk about. There is something called daas torah, which you don’t have. The way we are doing things does have it.

Next thing you know, you’re gonna say unfiltered internet is okay…

You are crum. You probably don’t have a rebbe to guide you. I hope you don’t give this crumkeit over to your kids.

Wow! Who would have thought this would happen on yeshiva world!

You think yeshiva’s just made it up?

Who are you? A shnook from monsey?

You’re arguing with every big rosh yeshiva in the nation! With the support if chassidim!? They do everything there own way!

The rishonim and achronim are just writing for nothing?

Iyun, the way we do it today, teaches us how to learn.

You can rant all day, but you are nothing compared.

And just remember, if you turn people of because of your stupidity…

Wow! It’s pulsing flower vs just about every yeshiva’s mesorah. I wonder who we should listen to? I wonder who we would consider crum? It’s very nice to have an opinion, but you can’t argue on mesorah.

The frumguy. We know why we don’t have the beis hamikdosh and it doesn’t really have to do with kiddush clubs. It’s something called sinas chinam.

Secondly, the kiddush club I go to in my shul only goes on during leining. Therefore we have enough food. It’s a simple rookie mistake to go for that long. It is a new shul…

There can be much wise things going on in a shul than a kiddush club. Leave it alone. We enjoy ourselves.

Well back to the bar mitzvah topic…

I think they’re great, it gives the kid a sense of purpose. He would feel really stupid if he had a small one while all his friends had big ones.

They’re expensive, but so is allot of things in life. This one is clearly necessary.

Logician. You are 100 percent right. There is no need, just somes women need to feel important, because they think they’d purpose in life is too learn, sui ther have to make a “halachic”position for them to feel good. It’s not about the embarrassment.
