The BuzzMember
yeah, we also left our kitchen vent on…
The BuzzMemberI once read to leave the blech on for as little as possible, so i only put it on when heating multiple foods. bec. of the heat, that’s all we leave on over yom tov and crock pot for shabbos.
The BuzzMemberwe could eat milchigs all year – here’s our excuse for fleishigs!!! we once ate somewhere and they served pizza shavuos day – it was pretty humorous, my husband had a panic attack, I had to whisper to him that I had meat at home and he could eat it after!
The BuzzMembertook advantage of memorial day sales to supplement kids closets… still need tznius clothing for 8 year old, that’s tough. tomorrow going to watch horse racing!!!
The BuzzMemberI have a boxfull of these in my parents house, if they didnt get rid of it yet… do you live in ny? you can get my e-mail from the mods if you want.
The BuzzMemberfettuchini alfreddo!
The BuzzMemberAren’t there loads of agencys in flatbush??
The BuzzMemberthanks, my husband finally figured it out. i know, these games are nutso – we tried freddie fish and wasted countless hours on it too!!
The BuzzMemberDid he really give ritalin? Isn’t that illegal? I would investigate and make sure he’s not giving it to your kid in school!!
The BuzzMemberOr chabad.org should help too
The BuzzMemberThere is a website called godaven.com where you can pretty much find a minyan anywhere in the world. Have a safe trip!
The BuzzMemberI think the Mishpacha had a whole issue aboutthis, I think last summer. See if you could get a back copy, you may find some good advice
The BuzzMemberStuck in bed feeding my baby
The BuzzMemberGO CHICAGO!! Although I make aliyah twice a year to visit my not-so-fortunate-to-be-out-of Flatbush family, and we are WAITING for the day we can make a REAL ALIYAH on an “EAGLES WINGS” very soon, IY”H. Yeshuas Hashem K’Heref Ayin!
The BuzzMemberI’m out of town, but my mother went the other night and said she enjoyed it. She thought the music and make up were great too! Kol Hakavod on a job well done!
The BuzzMemberEclipse, you might want to consider bringing security with you:)
The BuzzMemberyou could try calling stores in other states and ask them what they sell, numbers, etc. i found this very helpful when i went into the toy industry. good luck!
The BuzzMemberIf you really want a full perspective you should look into parenting classes.
The BuzzMemberThey are 5 and 7.
The BuzzMemberIt depends who you are. I do my whole morning in pj’s up to taking the kids to the bus stop – I slip on a long skirt, button my coat and voila! One friend doesn’t step out of her room in pajamas and one has days where she doesn’t get dressed if she doesn’t go out!
The BuzzMemberJust curious – is one allowed to show affection to their spouse in front of their kids?
The BuzzMemberI’m a woman, so I naturally like to multi-task:
Sunday – play/exercise with the kids
Monday – Cleanup day (something like 52 pickup, but not all the “cards” are in the same place!)
Tuesday – laundry (it’s 2 flights down)
Wednesday – race around the supermarket
Thursday – cooking marathon
Friday – errands/odd job day
Shabbos – AHHHHH!! A time to relax!!
The BuzzMemberYou should find a Rabbi to talk to. Good luck!
The BuzzMemberMy neighbor is a big Posek and his wife told me they once had a really stressful day so they went out to eat cuz otherwise he’s always busy with phones, etc. and the whole time they were there pple kept coming to talk to him… Nebach, the poor woman!!
The BuzzMemberRe: kids seeing the note, when I was a teen (many moons ago) I once babysat at a very Chashuva Kollel family. While there I had to go into the master bedroom to get the crying baby. On the dresser was a note opened with the most beautiful note that he wrote to her. I was in tears from reading it. No, I should not have read it and I do feel bad about it, but I am happy I did because I saw what real Yiddishe romance is about. And I’m one of those who had a shock at Kallah Classes!
The BuzzMemberThanks everyone for your concern! I think I’m going to just keep him a little longer because I just cannot do the crying/Ferberizer thing. I got a good nights sleep last night and hppoefully will be easier now.
The BuzzMemberA little Hakaras Hatov on both ends goes a long way. I have a store and it always feels good when a customer compliments about something in the store – it makes me want to go the extra mile even if some of you will say I’m egotistic. Thats how Hashem made me. I work hard to bring you the products you want. you thank me and I’ll thank you!
When I take my kids to stores, museums, etc we always thank the workers. It’s just good middos! What does it waste from you – 3 seconds of your time??
The BuzzMemberRoyal. Cook 2 hours, then totally drain. Don’t forget to add the Shabbos Spice:)
The BuzzMemberI love the one from Kosher Pallete – Susie Fishbane. Enjoy!
The BuzzMemberI think it’s more sweet. We don’t have company so often, but my husband likes it! Your recipe sounds good – will try, thanks!
The BuzzMemberHey, is this party happening in NY? What about us out-of-towners?
The BuzzMemberOK any fish recipes for fillet??
The BuzzMemberposter613 – I heard that there’s a Gemara that gives curses to the man who causes his wife to cry – isn’t there another way to do things?
The BuzzMemberWow, tallented crew here!
