HaShem equips a person with the natural capabilities to figure out certain things, to be able to self correct, readjust. Feelings of shame and guilt. They’re all for a person’s ultimate benefit. A person may try to corrupt and disable those heavenly sent gifts because it’s sometimes to hard to try, to attain a lofty standard.

When criticizing or punishing someone for a wrong s/he did, make sure that person can figure out WHAT they did, in order to correct themselves. That is the purpose of midda k’neged midda – for a person to be able to take note and correct himself.

For all who care to know, there is a Great Provider up there, taking care of us IN SPITE of our overindulgence in the required hishtadlus. Besides, someone making a livelihood is just that, to enable one to live. To make that one’s life purpose? Isn’t that just outright silly? He lives to work, works to live (if that’s called living). What was that wasted life for.
Kindly let that ideal bochur develop into his very best, without any kind “interference”. HaShem can surely care for him.

That’s my policy too. I’m too involved into my own personal affairs. I don’t care for the purported feelings I may read into another regarding me. I don’t view everyone more zealous than me as having a condescending attitude toward me.

I’m not saying anything. Actually I had no time for other makkos, I was totaly intent on my own special one… jumping into ovens…
There are a lot of medrashim on these makkos. Many say the animals wreaked havoc on people too, while not totally decimating them. ???? ???? means total obliteration of the land, place. This is what caused total chaos, pandemonium, general destruction.

Sorry, I don’t really recall when Yalkut was written. He CERTAINLY did not make up stuff. He’s quoting Tana’im. As far as your mocking the “inspiration for the ubiquitous kindergarten project seen this time of year”, Medrash (Medrash Rabbah, Tanchuma) writes it. Read. Learn. Have you learned the WHOLE Torah to know if it’s NOT there?
