I’m so sorry RoB. I didn’t understand what you wrote.

in reply to: Do people who are uglier have more yiras shomayim? #1002062

I am ugly. Do I have Yiras Shomaim?

in reply to: Biased Halacha #1002325

    ‘scuse me, Berliner Rabbiner.

What are you accusing Moshe Rabbeinu of? That he C”V altered one iota of Halachah, of Dvar HaShem to make it fit in more comfortably to the “modern, common-folk”? HaShem says of him “??? ???? ???? ???”. Kindly pick on someone else (someone you’re not mechuyav in kvod Rabbo, kvod Talmid Chacham. Someone you’re not mechuyav to be dan lkaf zchus, someone who it’s mutar to speak lashon hara)

in reply to: The last thing I would think of is Mayim Acharonim #1001733

42, even I can answer that one (and you’re a MOD!!!). It is (was) customary to wipe one’s mouth too while cleaning the hands.

in reply to: I wish I were a kohen #1001162

“Medrash Popa”? That’s going a bit too far, no?

in reply to: People who say things they don't mean #1001510

Do you really think I said what I meant that people say what they don’t mean?

in reply to: Forced to kill by a Grama #1001576

Sam2, that’s (karka olam) a far call from a maase grama.

in reply to: People who say things they don't mean #1001507

I’m sure you didn’t mean that.

in reply to: Chief Rabbi of the CR #1026434

Rebbbie, Rebbie, Please!! A brocha to me too. (where do we put acquittals (kvitlach)?)

in reply to: Forced to kill by a Grama #1001573

Lashon of Rashi seems to say that it is connected to issur retzicha. So it would change things.

in reply to: Normal People ONLY #1029144

We’re two hours into this, and it’s only me and you. Wow! Is everyone else truly ….?

in reply to: if you found out youre a goy… #1010387

I think I once wrote this (maybe with a different..)

What I would do? I’d bring a korban to HaShem – a perfectly permitted and most meritorious thing a non Jew can do. And a Jew nowadays cannot.

Then I’d make a dash for Beis Din.

    Rebbie Boruch

One of the rules of this hallowed place is not to pry personal information out of others. Most coffee-roomers would like to remain anonymous, not having their ANY private details revealed – me included. (of course one may choose to do so at their own peril, that is their own undoing).

That being said, I think Froggies are not born.

    in reply to: Zeeskite #999959

Is it only my computer, or is it on everyone else’s. I can’t decipher the last two coded / cryptic remarks. (Is Modding on the blink, jumbling well worded comments?).

-Then again, I guess what I just wrote would also come out jumbled. (and this too) (this too) ..

Anyways, 2scents if you need life in the CR, today’s the best day.

    -“this is DEATHLY important!!”

    -“Chevra Kedisha”

-“A Letter From the Yetzer Hara”

    -“Am I sane???”

    -“for those going crazy…”

Another nice, lively one would end – Lechaim Everyone, to LIFE

    in reply to: Zeeskite #999957

    Again? What? (or who)

in reply to: Am I sane??? #1000815

    HELP!!! My certificate expires today!!!

in reply to: Chief Rabbi of the CR #1026417

Mazel Tov to the CR of the CR!

in reply to: for those going crazy… #1006376

I see you’ve addressed this question directly to me, “those going crazy”. Been there (ever since) done that (oh yeah, and much more).

The first thing you can do is to extend a loving, caring arm. Physically and emotionally. Let her know you’re there for her whenever she should need support, assistance, comfort. How about letting you and her explore her unique admirable qualities. EVERYONE has. Let it shine out, let her friends be made aware to. Get her to be admired, loved, “in”. With caring, devotion, some exertion, it can be achieved. -my opinion. (again, you directed this solely to me)

    in reply to: Zeeskite #999954

Trust me – you don’t want me to be my awesome self.

in reply to: is it fair? #999852

    Hi. I’m here. (nisht ingantzen)

As you say – right on. The pre-mods, the (borei) pre-pre mods etc.

Why don’t you let Syag – “tell it to me, I’ll tell you if it’s lashon hara”

in reply to: Am I sane??? #1000809

    Shoppping:

You could go through the same process I did. It took a couple of years, I finally got my certificate of normality. (valid for one year)

in reply to: Chevi Garfinkel's Camp #999790

I think the Chofetz Chaim writes that one should not start a topic that can likely LEAD to issues of Lashon Hara. In my humblekite I would think kny is correct.

Of course we have the ever vigilant, untiring MODs who would NEVER let the conversation steer near those dangerous areas of lashon hara, but I think one must not even start such a conversation. -my humble opinion.

in reply to: Jewish music? Mah zeh? #999907

How to start a new topic?

How to Add a New Thread

    May help

in reply to: Chevi Garfinkel's Camp #999784

Actually I think you’re right. If I had the authority I’d say THREAD CLOSED (but I don’t)

How do you / anyone know about the rain drops? As far as I know, there is no Federal Raindrops Individuality Laboratory. So, maybe there are two raindrops alike. (besides, don’t you think it’s easier to barcode snow then rain)

    writersoul:

No, it’s not a gemaraish thing, it’s an Even Ezra thing (or however else you pronounce it). Don’t they teach that in school?

Here goes: There was this Ben Zuta who claimed that when the Torah writes ?? ???? ??? ??? ?? ??? ???? “if an ox of a person gores the ox of his friend”, it should be rendered as “if an ox of a person gores his friend, an ox”. Says the Even (Ibn) Ezra, “an ox has no friend, only this Ben Zuta”.

in reply to: What does the recent ban mean for YWN? #999441

This is absolutely not a news hotline. Here WE (us silly posters) make the news.

    in reply to: Zeeskite #999952

OK, so to explain that one (see about dissecting jokes), there was this good one, called Mexican Virus. “Your komputer has a birus. Pleese deleted hard drive”

(later computer scientists and geniuses later attributed it to the ZK character command- Zap Komputer, one of the unattributed hidden characters) Oh, so that’s where ZK came from. (really)

You’re studying this problem for over 8 months?!?

in reply to: Why does R' Yoichanan need a possuk for chatzi shi'ur? #999421

Maybe he doesn’t learn it from the passuk. It’s only used as a retort, why we wouldn’t learn issur from onesh, since here the Torah made a hekesh.

in reply to: Am I sane??? #1000798

Sanity? Sorry, never heard about it.

in reply to: Slow talkers get on my nerves #999384

Right on. Thinking the same thing.

in reply to: No Two Snowflakes are Alike #1024847

They do. Every one that comes in (ship, air, land) is coded and recorded for future reference. They have special hexagon shaped receptacles wherein they store this stuff during the long journey (as per instructions – store at room temperature).

    in reply to: Zeeskite #999950

    Right, and ZK too.

That was a Mexican virus command. When one received it he was supposed follow through and Zap his computer.

in reply to: No Two Snowflakes are Alike #1024843

    I’m so (politically) sorry.

in reply to: Where to find non-existent forum i'm seeking? #999252

Where to find the non-existent forum?

-In the new forum you’re about to create.

Yeshivaworld is not run by the taliban etc. It’s just a moderated forum suitable for the “Yeshiva” type people. There are many other sites (like the one you’re about to open) for stuff that don’t conform to the general view of the YeshivaWorld’s readership.

Not taliban in any way, just protecting us kiddies from anything that may r”l cause us to drop in our spiritual growth.

Oh, I happen to have some spare blood and breath, come right over.

in reply to: Bigger then the NSA #1005850

    No, I didn’t. I’ll ask Shnooky.

in reply to: Why leave your dirty tissue on the table in Shul? #1212555

    I agree with oyyoyyoy:

I do not suspect people at large are so callous, insensitive. They hide it for the time being, forgetting (sometimes) eventually.

in reply to: Lashon Hora: Our hardest tikkun? #999199

Yes, both of these last posts are “tzum zach”, to the point.

However, I’m happy to be reporting, that us Yidden have lately taken a BIG interest in these laws, all around the world. Many movements, groups etc. (see, I just spoke good..)
