To those of you that have an issue with Rav Moshe’s heter, the non cholov Yisroel milks back then we’re not yet ou certified. Hence, he recommended Chalav Yisroel, if feasible and available.
Today however, ou certified milk is plentiful and this hashgacha is as good or better than cholov Yisroel.
That is how Frum uneducated people make parnassah. Come up with cholov Yisroel and tell people that ou and ok certified milk is not good enough. What a bunch of malarkey. The US regulatory system does not allow for foreign matter in dairy milk.
Mechallel Shabbos in 2019 is not in the gender of tinok shenishbeh. Even goyim know that Jews don’t smoke and drive on Saturday.

The reason for your son truncating his davening is not similar to that of the previously mentioned gedolim “speeding “ their davening. Clearly, your son has a unique situation. However, people racing thru their davening to get to work is very questionable.
No, not in this instance. You dont daven fast because a godol hador davens fast. Ask your rosh yeshiva. Likewise one should not be OCD about trfillah.

Davening in chutz l’aretz is of poor quality. It is rote. Plain an simple.
I currently work in Harlem. Every day when I go out for lunch break, I go through the external crisis of looking at girls that are dressed not so tznius. Sometimes I avoid this problem by just making lunch at home but I am getting lazy. May someone please help me with what to do when I don’t want to make myself lunch,?

Without slinging mud, let me conclude by saying that you have no issue with following in the darkei emorim.We talmidei chachamim understand that galus has influenced us and perhaps at times we unfortunately fall into that trap. However we will not justify, rationalize , condone giving presents and gifts to tashbar during the Christmas season!!!!!!!!!!

I recall seeing in Emes L’Yaakov that the original/initial minhag was gelt, Chanukah gelt. How this evolved into ipafs, bicycles, video games, etc. is beyond me and a lot of other talmidei chachomim. What OP is asking is not only a silly nonsensical question, but reflects perhaps what is going on in his mind. Is he looking to start a grand scale machlokes? Klal yisroel does not need that. He is looking to make trouble and at the end of the day, what will OP do with the answer to his question?
There is no such concept in America. Sadly, we have lost the ability to have respect for gedolim. After the petirah of Rav Moshe Feinstein ztl, there has not been a gadol hador in America. A lot out there think they are but do not reach the heels of Rav Moshe ztl. Similar to when the tekufah of the rishoonim left and the acharonim came in. What caused that? A certain lowering of standards, not necessarily negative in nature, but nonetheless, a lowering of standards. That is what we are faced with in America today. No godol hador.

What does “zocheh a gift” mean?
It is prohibited to give a gift on Shabbos. Klahr halacha. If it will be used on that Shabbos, there can be a heter for the gift giving.

Seminary in Israel is a scam that many will have to answer for. Putting parents in debt so they can have their daughter go to Israel is wrong and anti-Torah. Females are not required to learn Torah and therefore have no need to spend 11 months in Israel having a fun time while the parents back home toil to pay the tuition for this carnival. Seminary is nothing but a carnival for which administrators, executive directors, etc. will have to klap a lot of viduy.
Send your daughter for six weeks in Israel if you want them to have a good time there.

I find it very telling that in over 8 hours nobody was able to show me an Igros Moshe on this issue. Everybody has their own comments, opinions, psak but no one can show me a psak from a true gadol b’Torah!
As is often the case, this conversation is becoming too subjective. I WANT FACTS. Therefore i am requesting that someone kindly send me the citation in the Igros Moshe where this very subject matter is discussed. Thank you.

I beg to differ with your assertion.
When stating , “ I heard from so and so that Rav Moshe ztl said…”, this is heresay evidence which in a court of law is inadmissible and certainly not to be listened to here in these posts.
DaasYochid…if we speak about the crisis enough or too many times, perhaps Jewish leadership will get involved!
