🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant
Reb Eliezer – he was making a joke. Someone made the ridiculous comment that a kidney donor would have to avoid some things a normal person can do. A poster asked what someone who already donated a kidney would have to avoid and Meno said, donating a kidney.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantso he was served tea and drank it and then spread the word that that was worse than the treatment from Russian anti-semites and you don’t see this as being hateful?
( I’m not saying the baal Hatanya is hateful, ch”v, because I have nothing to prove this story came from him.)
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantmy bungalow? I have never been in a bungalow, probably couldn’t even define it for you.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantkneidlach – what possessed you to dig up an 11 year old thread talking badly about yidden? Really?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipanthuju – B”H I have not had any health issues. I did offer to donate a kidney to my father when he was on dialysis but he refused for the same inaccuracies that you expressed. Unfortunately for us both.
I have several friends who have donated kidneys, one of my friends son’s donated to his young brother, two friends who were recipients and my husband was a partial liver donor. My husband was the father of 9 at the time, one friend was the mother of 4 or 5 (I don’t remember exactly) , one the father of 1, one single. (That’s off the top of my head, and I feel like I am forgetting someone.)🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“It requires you to avoid risks that a normal person with a spare kidney can afford to take.”
such as?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantSounds like good advice more people should follow
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantB”H i no longer expose myself to secular media
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantRenewal (718) 431-9831
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI could not disagree more with huju. And having sat thru all the appointments with a donor i have to say the facts don’t agree with him either. Contact Renewal and get educated instead of gathering opinions from us.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantYou missed (avoided? Ignored?) the point. You are claiming it was to interefere in the 2020 election (a key point in the impeachment charge) when it could just as well have been to exonerate himself from accusations in the previous election. Or to uncover damage that was done to him in 16 that may be repeated in 20 when the DEMS intetfere in an election. Again.
Point is, stop being dishonest, it’s unbecoming of a yirei shamayim.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantBiden being his opponent is a red herring. Remove your earplugs for a moment and take a moment to consider (just temporarily, no commitment required) that there is an additional viewpoint. Clinton, obama, biden broke laws to interfere with his campaign (undisputed fact ). If you find yourself in a phone call with someone who could help you exonerate yourself, or at least expose some of their games, wouldn’t you? The dems are using the fact that he is an opponent to pretend there wasn’t good reason to expose what the previous whitehouse administration did. That dishonesty is only second to having knowingly given it a pass in the first place.
So i don’t know if he held the money for an investigation, but i do know that the expression “it is clear it was to interferein the 2020 election” is a dishonest propaganda campaign to avoid exposure of corruption from the PREVIOUS administrators. It is not honest to take facts, apply your own motives, and assume that’s where it ends. As frum yidden we are trained to always know there is another side. I don’t really care about trump, ukraine or biden, but i can’t stand listening to dishonesty, hypocrisy and lack of openness from fellow Jews.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantLol! National Security at risk? Are you referring to Obama sending blankets instead of javelins or I’m guessing your referring to Obama’s 40 billion dollars in cash to the terrorists.
Hypocrisy
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantOh man, if you are going to make the argument that cursing in public is worse than all of the things I listed above then it is obvious that you are not able to have a rational conversation on this topic
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantGH- you’re a hoot. No denting trump has a communication disorder on so many levels but your mighty king clinton is the ones who brought the presidency, white house and country to an unprecedented low. It was clinton who transformed the airwaves to R rated and brought vulgarity to the dinner table. This is what ive been saying all along, feel free to hate trump, but cut the hypocrisy.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantReb Eliezer – don’t you feel funny deciding someone’s motives based on what you think a person like them would say? I have been hearing so much of it that i don’t think they/you even realize how bizarre it is to imagine something into reality. To be soo steeped in negative expectations that you’ll just take that version as fact. You know, i assume, that applying bias to facts does not create evidence.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantHaha, GH! Are finally willing to admit it’s all a charade
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantJack – calm down. You sound like adam schiff. Nobody woth a rational opinion needs to get so bent out of shape. So you don’t like trump and want him out, good for you. So do millions of other people. But anyone who is honest will be at least eaqually upset by the actions of clinton funding corruption to interfere with an election, the FBI committing criminal offenses to interfere in an election and obama pretending he didnt know.
You are either for real justice, or your just afraid to admit that you are acting out of bias. You do realize, don’t you, that when people submit their votes before a hearing, it doesn’t say much about their integrity. And brings to question the validity of the process. If right was on their side, they didn’t behave like they believed that.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI missed my chance to give you a brocha and to get one
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭December 9, 2019 12:09 pm at 12:09 pm in reply to: I realized my mistake, did you realize yours? #1809232🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantFroggie- i respect your opinion but don’t see any jest here, nor any deviation from the usual damning to hell. Not even sure how you could read it differently.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI thought i might have the stomach flu but i think it’s just the opening statements at the hearings
December 9, 2019 7:57 am at 7:57 am in reply to: I realized my mistake, did you realize yours? #1809109🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantChash – those are some pretty tall assumptions to make about someone you’ve never met. Especially for a newcomer
December 5, 2019 9:26 pm at 9:26 pm in reply to: Inviting divorced women to your Shabbos table? #1808343🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantReb Eliezer – everyone’s okay. This was his personL issue and it has nothing at Ll to do with the divorce status. You are welcome at our table any time
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantFor the record, there are lots of Trump supporters Who are willing to say that they don’t agree with certain policies or behaviors of his, or even to say that he’s a jerk but they support what he’s done. I have yet to find an anti-Trump supporter who is honest about his party’s representatives the laws that they’ve broken or some of the really slimy things that they’ve done. And it ain’t because They haven’t done anything to call them out on
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantHere’s the problem. When a group of people join together to impeach someone years before the “crime” is committed, then holds hearings in secret, won’t let republicans ask questions and won’t let them read the records or call witnesses then there is something wrong with their argument before they even start. I don’t defend trump, but if you can’t move forward with integrity then you have no case.
If just one of those Democrats had the self respect to say Trump was wrong and Biden was also wrong then I would believe they have a trace of honesty in the process.
When you lack yashrus, nothing you say is worth listening to.🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantmendy’s father and i attended grammar school together. A religious zionist orthodox school in chicago. his parents were frum, ehrlich people very devoted to the mizrachi/religious zionist movement. i have no idea how he (and a brother, i think) ended up in chabad but i will tell you that he is a very outspoken, but not communily accepted, voice. The mainstream chabad has fought their growth and organizations very forcefully. He is a part of the ‘moshiach center’, the only one of the chabad minyanim that the community boys have been told by their rabbeim that they are not to participate in. A kind hearted soul but seemingly very misguided.
December 2, 2019 10:29 am at 10:29 am in reply to: Why does my son’s Rebbi have a smartphone ? #1806651🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantRed leg, your comment is about as ignorant as saying that we don’t need to put a poison warning on Drano cuz who is drinking it anyway. But if you can open your mind to a non biased intelligence back and forth I’m sure there’s what to discuss
December 2, 2019 10:14 am at 10:14 am in reply to: Why does my son’s Rebbi have a smartphone ? #1806639🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantTakes2- i couldn’t agree with you more! I’m just wondering why you didn’t take that approach on the other thread
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant🤣🤣🤣
Talk about missing the boat!🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantYou may want to re read my post. Reality burns joseph, but denial is an illness.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantYeah Joseph, we know. We read about them in the headlines here all the time.
November 27, 2019 4:31 pm at 4:31 pm in reply to: Why does my son’s Rebbi have a smartphone ? #1805244🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantit’s nice to hear some actually speaking in defense of the mechanech instead of jumping all over it!!
I know that I had the same feeling when I saw some administrators with smart phones (many others have flip phones) and when I asked I was told they were tagged and blocked of almost everything except emails and texts. I think it might be a good idea to explain this to the boys, obviously, if they are going to be seeing him with it, and maybe some are not tagging them as they should and a question stated respectfully may light the spark for them to do the right thing.November 24, 2019 6:04 pm at 6:04 pm in reply to: Is it better to be Chassidish or Litvish? #1803848🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantWow LAboy. Your words are just overflowing with the ahavas chinam that moshiach is waiting for.
…hypocrite.🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI get this all the time. I usually answer, “I wish”. Sometimes I’ll explain that we weren’t able to get reliable records but very possibly.
Regarding lying, not sure why i feel a need to respond to a troll post, but… i wouldn’t even understand entertaining the thought of being dishonest. So, no.🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantBurnt steak – without arguing the point you made, and i don’tknow greenbaum, but i would not feel comfortable with the music from a Jew who is willing to speak of spirituality with christian overtones for any purpose, especially person gain. Its like telling me you composed a song on tehillim while using the bathroom, ch”v.
Side point, i did not read his wikki page but he was in a terrible car accident on a saturdsy afternoon several years back. Although i agree with your point above, this does not seem to be a good example🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantSIDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How agree you? What are you up to? Are you still in ey?
Don’t worry, i thonk CA might have been kidding, your personalities are completely different. So good to hear your voice 🤭
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantCTL – If you want to present the facts as you experience them in your town, or even as the handful of people you spoke to present it than you obviously have the right to do so. But don’t think that that translates to the thousands of other 12 step programs out there. When people are looking for self help, there is always a danger of giving them a tipping point with which to say “never mind”. The smart thing to say would be that in your finite experience of a fraction of 12 step groups there was a very real danger of missionizing etc as many used to be held in churches etc etc and be wary. But to write it off as a group led by sick dysfunctional people wanting to convert you or control you is just wrong. Sorry for your experience, but many cities have moved forward eons from there.
Also, I have never doubted any of your experiences or your personal presentation of your life (which, by the way have not been quite so limited as you seem to think), but the idea of a retired lawyer who owns his own firm, lives and breathes legal life and is training generations to continue this legacy taking counseling courses certainly gives pause.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantJoseph- you can’t just throw in random additions to comments made by people you never met. The chasm between former frum and open orthodox is huge. It’s not even the same boat. I quoted him, and if you want to alter his words then please call him and discuss it first.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantCA – yes! CTL couldn’t be further from the truth! It is one of the most effective and long lasting options when followed sincerely and Rabbi Twerski has several awesome books that go thru the steps in the context of Torah and Yiddeshkeit. AA is not the same as GA and OEA but there is crossover. Check out his books for more clarity. I can get you titles if you’d like.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantJoseph- no, not at all.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantJoseph-my husband asked rabbi Ephraim Twerski that question and he stood to have in mind the open orthodox
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantGreat answer, and I totally agree with you
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantIt may be the case for food items but returned items are often (at some stores) repackaged, resealed, and put right back on the shelf. When the shelf is empty except for the boxes that were obviously retaped, they mark it down as a sale price. It will go on clearance if it is mangled. On occassion it gets donated in bulk as a tax write off. Seeing it placed in a cart with broken items does not imply they throw it out.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“Why in the world would they do that? What could the teachers motivation possibly be? ”
Don’t believe everything though read online
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“Walmart dumps returned merchandise regardless of condition.
Once you open the box, and sometimes even if you didn’t,”I’m fairly certain that isn’t true.
November 5, 2019 1:16 pm at 1:16 pm in reply to: How much $$$ does a typical Frum family spend on groceries per week? #1797624🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant😊
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantSyag
Can I assume you are putting together a cogent rational response?Absolutely
November 5, 2019 1:23 am at 1:23 am in reply to: How much $$$ does a typical Frum family spend on groceries per week? #1797438🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI hear your indignation loud and clear
Unfortunately indignation Is not a rational position. It just means you are passionate that you are correct.
That’s beautiful.
But it’s not going to convince me. I’m fact it’s not even giving me anything to think about to see if maybe In fact I am incorrect.
It’s more like a signal that it’s a difficult position to defend
In the words of Ronald Reagan
“weak point – scream “🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantKy – is that your response to all halachas you don’t like or just the ones everyone else is doing too?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantky – you sound like a 10 year old trying to justify shoplifting. I’m sorry if your community lives by such standards to the point that you can’t even hear your own words. and your next post is even worse:
Here it’s arbitrary. If a school /teacher decides they want you to submit an essay, and they give it in a way that easily allows cheating, and they know it’s happening, and they accept it, then it’s not cheating!!that one is so wrong that even a 10 year old wouldn’t fall for it. in fact i can hardly believe an adult can think that way. Rationalizing sheker is probably worse than sheker itself. darn shame.
