🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant
GH- it’s really that funny to you? Thinking people should rise above the trash talk is too prudish? Feel free not to hold yourself back but to poke fun at me for caring?ya lost me
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAnyone hoping to browse, post or join an unfiltered, unmoderatorated forum/platform has really lost site of where their priorities and moral values should lie. Freedom of speech is great. I hope it gets up and running. But I hope and pray that no jew will be willing to immerse themselve in that kind of filth. Never thought I could sound so …unworldly but the stuff you guys expose to yourselves out there (according to what you have told us about here) makes me very sad for us. This isn’t preachy from me to you, I include myself in this nisayon as well.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAlizgitt- first, Hello! Nice to see you.
I did mention whatsapp and you are so right. I’ve never understood giving so many strangers your phone number tho. And accompanying life status updates via your picture.🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“He’s defending WoW.”
“I don’t support WoW at all. ”
Yup. Putting words in his mouth. You could apologize but I’m sure you’ll just defend it.🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantCS- who are you talking to?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantWhere do you see his support of reform? He seems to do this (often) either to be antagonistic toward the posters, or just as an outlet for his anger, which is problematic enough without putting words in his mouth.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“Neo-Nazi’s proudly marching in Charlottesville. Shootings at synagogues in Pittsburgh and Poway. ”
Right. Sure. I think he even posted bail for anyone involved who got arrested…. oh, wait….
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAnd I miss too many to name… but I particularly liked reading bp totty , oomis and golfer because they seemed to be my age.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant2scents – yes. Ever since he joined the level tahor cult in Guatemala lost internet access the place just hasn’t been the same.
😆🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantGoldilocks – Great answer!!
Coffee – I think his posts kind of prove him to be both new and a bachur. And knowing why he has all this free time makes me feel better 🙂
I think the real answer to his question though is that the CR was one of the few moderated places to go to talk to other frum people and back then, I hate to say the truth, but people cared about what they exposed themselves to more than now. People send around not so appropriate memes that they never would have forwarded years back. They “skip over” nivel peh and topics that would never have been given their attention in the past. Anyone who reads comments on articles (anywhere) is exposing themselves to tons that most of us would never have considered letting into our heads 10 years ago.
So back when there was no whatsapp and people were more careful about what they read we had the CR for connecting and schmoozing. People now have whatsapp groups giving their phone numbers away like it ‘s nothing. Times have changed (unfortunately)
And last piece, I think, was the twitter damage. People used to have conversations. Even pig headed, narrow minded ones. Things evolved over time to people throwing pot shots, responses, put downs at each other. We take up a cause and get ready for battle. If you compare even the angry threads from before that time, it is so much different than the machine gun style, spit your piece out to the world type of “communicating”, sometimes on three different forums at the same time.
Not everyone does this obviously, not every conversation is like this, but it is definitely a very huge shift from before. People have causes, defend their teams. It used to be like that in the zionist/anti zionist threads but all others were more conversationalistic. Now….🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantYou have covid? How did you get covid with your whole country on lockdown? Either way, refuah shlaima!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAAQ – “between us doctors” Really? since when?
October 19, 2021 2:25 pm at 2:25 pm in reply to: ADHD can be an expression of the creative mind #2018593🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAsh – thank you so much for telling it like it is. I hope you feel heard, despite the static. Wishing you continued hatzlacha!!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantCommon – i hope mechilla was included in there. To your point, I felt your real topic got lost when it shouldn’t have. It is really so crucial and important. I sat shiva 3 times in 5 plus years and B”H never witnessed anything like that. I did develop a sense, tho, of how important it is to be focused on the availing, and how painful it can be for many of the ‘visitors’ who are suffering in their own way from the loss as well.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“I look down on the mo lifestyle. I don’t look down on any individual Jew, as this is against the Torah principles explained above”
Beautiful. I wish more would follow that example.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantThat bochor didn’t “reject the Torah”
Neither did most of these kids. They just rejected a system where people who called themselves Ehrlich treated them like dirt. Kinda like what you are touting here and elsewhere.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantCommon – I received an email from a personal moderator of my posts who felt I should cut you some slack. I apologize. Please be moichel.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAww, I’m not gonna argue with the frog. And I think I know what he meant, I just wish people would learn to be much more guarded with their words/topics/rants when online.
Thanks for hopping by.🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAAQ – he threw it out there as an insult, dragging down hundreds of people who may actually be grateful to have it. Is it really worth it?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantUm, no. sorry. There was nothing objective about his observation. Nor is getting something off your chest something you do in a public forum without taking 10 deep breaths and removal of anything that can look like chilul Hashem or bizayon. Just because it mirrored some of your posts and thoughts, that’s not the definition of objective.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAnon – not sure why you mention me for this story. My advice, move to a city where life runs differently.
Shimon – missed the boat. I didn’t ask why their being learned bothered him, I asked why he felt an infantile need to elaborate on that point, and dis rabbaim while pretending to have a real point.
CS – I feel your pain but you didn’t answer my question and frankly, pas nisht.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantCommon- can you help me out here? You aren’t 17 nor are you otd. So what’s with the “talmide chachamim” and “rosh yeshiva of a defunct mini yeshiva ” trash? You sound like a disgruntled teenager who needs to make sure to disparage rabbeim maximally when it has nothing to do with your point. What gives? I was 100% sure this was a troll post when I read it and am shocked you could produce this type of waste.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantWow, how wonderful of you to insult a whole community of people who choose to use artscroll to learn because it works best for them. Is that really your purpose, to make people with weaker skills feel worthless? Maybe you could clarify or better yet find something else to criticize.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“Imagine that people give me mussar for saying that I don’t look down at people choosing to be oived Hashem in a different way than there parents”
Where is someone saying that?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantReb E – I always felt your posts read as if English was not your first language but it never occurred to me to comment, criticize or point it out. He already told you the simple fact that kids are learning to write with technology that automatically capitalizes so it’s not a practiced skill. It’s like checking the lights when you leave the car, something newer drivers don’t even think about cuz its automatic.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantYOU ARE SO DESTRUCTIVE TO KLAL YISROEL!! I can’t stand when you do this. You are presenting halachik issues as if they are social issues. Every single jew out there was respected and met with GENUINE WARMTH from the chofetz chaim, from reb moshe Feinstein, from reb dovid trenk. Everyone has heard how the chofetz chaim treated the yid who broke shabbos. Why do you do this??
Thank you orangecountychapper. Please forever ignore posters and people who do this, and to anyone out there struggling with Judaism, I know you read these posts and think this is the majority but IT IS NOT.
October 17, 2021 7:51 pm at 7:51 pm in reply to: ADHD can be an expression of the creative mind #2017138🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI did not say I have a positive opinions regarding labels. I said that if you are going to label me, I want you to do it appropriately so that it is communicative and productive. Which is exactly what you said at the end of that post when you gave a label you felt was more appropriate.
In response to your question, don’t you think it a bit silly to rant in protest of something you obviously have not researched? The question you are asking is the equivalent of: why do they call it a cold when your temperature is really hot?
October 17, 2021 7:24 pm at 7:24 pm in reply to: ADHD can be an expression of the creative mind #2017092🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“Syag, ok fine, if it’s easier to label people then go ahead and label them”
I didn’t say it was easier.
1) I am fairly sure you did not actually read my post (or bother attending to the content)
2) you seem to be unfamiliar with the criteria, meaning, disorder.
3) you don’t believe in labels ….. except the one you made up instead….gotcha🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantNice try. Now let me know how many of those discussions, classes, learning sessions were in coed settings, on soap boxes in public squares, from pulpits in reform synagogues. You should be very concerned about your desire to push so hard to justify discussing your failures at keeping your eyes where they belong and your rush from getting women to discuss their bodies with you. Face it.
October 17, 2021 3:06 pm at 3:06 pm in reply to: ADHD can be an expression of the creative mind #2016921🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI didn’t say I liked labels. I also don’t like over used labels or misplaced labels or misunderstood labels. But to say ADHD doesn’t exist because I don’t like labels is childish.
And if you want to label me go ahead, especially if it will help the person you are speaking to understand me better and be in a better position to be my friend/teacher/employer/neighbor. Just make sure you use thorough and appropriate assessments and criteria when you do it.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI’ve noticed your josephesque tendency to not accept criticism and to then accuse the other of violating halacha or of being attached to inappropriate hash hashgofos. Sorry, not flying here. If you want to have a halachik convo, feel free. But when men, especially single men, talk about what women are wearing and why you think they are doing so you are obviously looking in places you shouldn’t. Rationalize all you want, especially add in something about how you are so unbelievably learned that you can deliberately scope out women’s skirt lengths specifically to know where you need to avoid going.. Thats also a feminist, MO, haskala, krum attitude.
I worked for someone who actually was a baal aliya who was careful about shirts anayim. When I was in my 8th month and very visible pregnant I told him not to worry, I wouldn’t need to take off time from school. His response: I’m not sure what you are referring to.
October 17, 2021 12:56 pm at 12:56 pm in reply to: ADHD can be an expression of the creative mind #2016871🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“There’s no such thing as “ADHD”. ”
I know. There’s no such thing as Covid 19 either. We had those symptoms hundreds of times and we called it the flu. If I want to believe it doesn’t exist, I obviously know more than everyone else out there.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAlways so impressed when people make a new account just to insult people and tell them they don’t learn enough…
October 17, 2021 8:14 am at 8:14 am in reply to: ADHD can be an expression of the creative mind #2016803🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantFarby- i didn’t think a Bucher in mesivta could have a son that age 😁
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantWell that’s a pretty ignorant comment.
Generally you can tell who is actually not reading the jewish books by the rude/derogatory/untrue descriptors and comments they use to describe them, as if they read them, to excuse themselves from reading the stuff they shouldn’t.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantSounds like you’ve put a lot of thought into this.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantHow do you decide if a book is appropriate?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantChai – I hope you are aware that Jews don’t determine what is right or wrong based on your feelings and opinions.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantJoseph, go find something else to talk about that doesn’t have to do with women’s body parts, clothing, promiscuity or subservience. You are creeping us out.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“Selective and misleading quotes are part of what you seem to be lamenting”
Not at all.
And I only took the short clip so you’d know more specifically what I was laughing at. You sound miffed tho. Not sure why but sorry all the same. Didn’t think it would ruffle your feathers🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“have been, and for the most part, continue to be the only real media.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Stop, I can’t breathe!!🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantMindful – I think a lot of your questions have answers but you would first need to sort thru the difference between real questions, fabricated questions based on things you think are true, and just plain old disgusting hateful anti-frum comments. If you ae able to do that, I would be more than happy to respond.
Avirah – you don’t seem to understand that your rant is no less yetzer hora. You seem to think that if someone doesn’t understand and is angry about lies and misinformation fed them over years, that you can just spit and kick back at them and somehow that aggressive response will just spill over into love and understanding of Hashem’s Torah. Your style is partially responsible for the misinformed view people like her have of Torah and it’s leaders. Just stop. Nobody gave you permission to act like this. Don’t pretend you can be Rav Miller ztl. He knew his audience, he knew his venues, and he had a lot more to him than just his toughness. You can’t take a page out of Joseph’s book and just throw things on people’s heads in the name of holiness. It is not just wrong, it is destructive.
October 13, 2021 2:18 pm at 2:18 pm in reply to: Anti Haredi Naftali Bennett (the supposed “dati” prez.) #2015604🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantMocking chareidim is a favorite hobby of his. Pretending it’s not is his next favorite.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“But the question also is: if a reasonable democratic government selects a policy, are we allowed to disregard it because we disagree with part of it.”
Was that a joke? What part of the not following science and not even following their own mandates democratic government is reasonable?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant…because if they are from those Jewish communities they couldn’t have gotten it from stores, gas stations, dry cleaners, malls, waiting rooms, post offices, customers, vendors, repair men, airports, airplanes, passersby, delivery men who needed signatures, medical personnel, receptionists or other. It must be those darn shuls where they insist on praying with those other jews who keep praying there too. Even tho they’ve all been repeatedly exposed to each other without incident for a year, those jews and their darn shuls are just the bottom line of all this stuff.
AAQ – please stay clear of missionaries. The cultists behaviors you display here indicate you might be at risk. Stay safe, okay?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAre you denying that there are a lot of legitimate claims of abuse?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant“As I’m sure we all know, many such allegations are nebulous or untruthful, being alleged (and that’s often the keyword) in order to secure unwarranted gain in the legal proceedings. ”
See? This is trash talk. No, we don’t “all know” anything of the sort. This is why we complain about your posts. You throw in cheap shots like these which are purely subjective, separate from fact and halacha but show where you stand on woman, marriage and emotional abuse. Then you stuff in a comma and attach it to a halacha and pretend you represent Judaism. And don’t respond with trash about lack of evidence, so many abusers are slick enough to walk free. But reclaiming the point, you throw in your twisted opinions making your personal view obvious, pretend it’s fact, and suddenly play dumb when you are called out.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant” He would fit well into CR, lambasting people with opposing views.”
Thank you so much for sweeping everyone together with the broad brush of the worst and smallest group among us. And while trying to give musser about mistreating people.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAbba- that is not what I read, but like I said, if you know differently then wonderful. I just don’t know what the ketch is about since those are all his expenses anyway. I’m sure my kids expenses eat up most if not all of my income, so? Did someone promise otherwise? What kind of person complains about supporting their own kids?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantTLIK – alimony is based on income, child support is based on expenses. But I only know local so that info is from a handful of websites. If you know differently from experience I defer to you.
