I have heard that the organizers of “A Jewish Star” are planning next year a televised reality show that will be called “Jewish Survivor”, where contestents will have all sorts of “challanges” before they are voted off the island — until there is only one man or woman left standing.

I wouldn’t change a child in public. But if I made a mistake and did, and that animal said that to me, I’d take my time doing the diaper change sloooowlllly all the while not answering or otherwise acknowledging she even exists.

There are 120 members in the kenesset, so you need a majority of 61 to have a government. No single party ever had 61 on its own, so the biggest party (usually) forms a coalition with enough other parties to have at least 61 seats.

About 36 parties ran in the election, but only 12 parties got enough votes to get any seats.

Oh, I almost forgot to wish another good riddance.

Good riddance to MK Yohanan Plesner. As you may recall he was the Kadima MK that tried (and almost succeeded) to implement a forced draft of yeshivaleit with his “Plesner Plan” a few months ago.

He was #3 on Kadima’s list, but Kadima only got 2 seats. (And barely even that, as they just squeaked past the threshold of having any seats, going from the largest party to the smallest irrelevant party.)

The Chasidim have survived the past 60+ years in America without a serious secular studies program. The Litvaks are catching up and they’ll manage fine, just like the Chasidim.

The gullible who believe this lying evil woman, despite the fact there is not a shred of any actual evidence, raise specious arguments such as yichud — something that NEVER occured — by saying “there were three locks on the door”. Of course they, in their zeal to prosecute the innocent, even if they are in denial that the locks were broken they are blinded by the fact that three locks offer no more protection than one lock. If someone wanted to sin one lock offers all they need and two more locks don’t do anything more than one does. And, of course, they pretend even if there was yichud — which there was not — that yichud is somehow even one one hundredth as bad as what they accuse him of and what he was falsely convicted of in a secular kangaroo court. The punishment for yichud is malkus not death in prison.

Then they raise that “the therapist believes her”. Well, therapists are wrong at least as often as they are right. And their thoughts, certainly, are far from being any sort of proof. Something that is completely and totally and utterly lacking. Due to his complete and absolute innocence.

This miscarriage of justice of a completely innocent human being by a vengeful evil woman who was caught in the worst kind of crime by her own father is not atypical of the broken American justice system. Like Rubashkin, he had his religion and dress going against him. It would be comical if it weren’t so sad how the gullible believe there is evidence where none was offered.

In the U.S. the minority party in Congress has very little power. (Except the Senate filibuster; in the House they are powerless.)

Dov Lipman, the so-called “frum” agitator from Beit Shemesh who has been making a ruckus against the Torah Jews, got in as an MK as (the anti-religious) Yesh Atid’s #17.

zsd: On that token, Yesh Atid cannot be in a coalition with Bayit Yehudi, as they have opposite demands on the peace process with the Arabs.

So if Shas + Yesh doesn’t either work, Bibi has no viable coalition.

OOM: Why is MDG’s original comment hard for you to accept? In the thousands of years of the history of war and mankind, armies have won and lost their greatest battles without women. Women are not suited for combat. Bringing women into an army does not strengthen an army.

Why else, do you propose, has tzahal always been on the forefront of contemporary armies in placing women in combat?

The Chareidim cannot have a hesder-like arrangement since that would mean the Chareidim would have less time in the Yeshiva learning Torah.

UTJ currently has 5 and the polls say they’ll get 6. So it is rather highly unlikely they’ll go down to 4.
