I think texting and walking has gotten out of hand these days. Twice already someone almost bumped into me because they were so engrossed in their thumbs.
superstarMemberIf i tried opening the door and so did someone else it would be woops not shomer negiah. So i think it’s unecesary. But if you want to i guess you could. Maybe we should create a car where the doors open automatically. Oh wait we have that.
superstarMemberWow I never thought of it that way. I’m getting ice cream right now and I’ll get back to you 20 pounds later.
superstarMemberHow bout silly putty or play dough? Or anything she can feel. Maybe a little musical instrument?
April 12, 2013 5:36 am at 5:36 am in reply to: How to tell the Shadchan that the girl's too heavy #946231superstarMemberIf the shadchan really is related to the girl then you need to be really careful what you say to her about her. Blame it on yourself or something. If you don’t, she will start sending you 500 lb girls! Good luck!
superstarMemberIt’s annoying and it bothers me when people don’t follow the proper ‘three feet rule’ when talking to people. There is no such thing as one inch.
superstarMemberBy the way she was not allowed to adjust you without a chiropractic license. If your back/neck still hurts you can sue for that.
superstarMemberIf the halacha is to cover the legs, how is it ok for them to show with nude socks? It looks the same as with no socks.
superstarMemberIt doesn’t seem like you wanted the truth but here goes anyhow. My guilty pleasure is reading/watching/listening to something that’s not 100% kosher.
superstarMemberYour ideas are great! Why do you need more?
But I’ll just add that I like getting woken up by my phone alarm that sings a calming song. I know its kinda like an alarm clock, and you specifically don’t want that, but I think beeping is not akay, but music is nice to get woken up with.
superstarMemberOK but men still have heels on their shoes (not like ladies and not for shooting arrows.) And if they are not for walking then my previous post remains unrefuted.
February 11, 2013 6:37 am at 6:37 am in reply to: Should Proper Grammar Be Required in the CR? #929427superstarMemberYes.
superstarMemberWith a bread machine you don’t have to knead the dough, but with a food processor I think you do. (But anyhow, doesn’t a food processor chop the food, but a mixer mix?) Also, a bread machine can actually bake the bread for you. FYI I use a bread machine.
superstarMemberExcuse me but men have heels on their shoes and they are already taller. Are men insecure too?
February 10, 2013 7:48 am at 7:48 am in reply to: What's red, hangs on the wall, and whistles? #928596superstarMemberHey I heard someone tell me that joke. For a split second I thought you might be them.
superstarMemberWow. I’m so honored to be mentioned. (Even if it’s cuz I have a confusing name.)
Speaking of confusing people, Popa, she has now become a man. If I can’t trust you when you say your gender how can I believe that you’re actually married, or anything you say for that matter.
Well, it doesn’t really matter, cuz who can believe what anyone says?!
superstarMemberNo purplicious from another thread I think popa was a lady. You know I’m so confused. I’m now trying to read popa’s posts as a lady and a man and see which fits best.
February 3, 2013 7:43 am at 7:43 am in reply to: Shidduch Crisis: Older Single Is Desperate, Parents Being Super Picky #925899superstarMemberIt could totally be that the shiduchim are not working out because her parents are controlling. (Controlling parents are a red flag.) So when her parents do back off it will be wayyy easier to find someone.
superstarMemberWhoa! Popa for along time I thought you were a young boy. Then finally I got used to you being a father with kids. Now I got the shock of my life- your a lady! It’s just so weird. Unless everything you say isn’t true… Now I’m really confused.
superstarMemberNo, mirroronthewall that just sounds weird. In my opinion, it’s cuz the children with the same father will be in the same shevet. So in the same shevet they are closer related, than if same mother but different shevatim.
superstarMemberSo Yenta here’s the solution: If you’re a flirter, you cannot say Good Shobbos to the opposite gender. If you don’t, then we all give you permission.
superstarMemberGoing to a random place expecting to see no one you know and out pops Jews!
superstarMemberFunnybone just buy all your things on Amazon, it’s way easier. Anyhow, I don’t think stores do or even should haggle with buyers. But still, she shouldn’t have acted like that.
superstarMembernanny- try the talk n’ save plan. It’s pricey, but there are a few options to choose from.
talkn’save.net
superstarMemberMaybe first deal with the stress (biting nails can be a cause of stress.) and then you won’t bite your nails anymore. Just don’t stress over how to end it cuz you’ll just go in circles.
superstarMemberYa something like that. I duno for sure though cuz I don’t actually have that camera. Check out the comments on amazon.com. They also talked about the wifi, but the one I read didn’t think so highly of it.
superstarMemberWow. Did you call them Oma and Opa?
I just don’t get how people deal with these extremely awkward situations. I think I would die.
superstarMemberI’m not really taking sides, but this is how i feel: I don’t think it is the school’s fault because: Did they really demand that you not put locks on your locker? And even if they did they are not responsible for things stolen from them. Also, it wasn’t necessarily a student; it could have been a janitor. Also, I do believe that it is a huge hassle to look through the cameras, if they can even do it at all. (My school doesn’t look through their cameras even when asked.) So all in all, I don’t think the school has to pay. Maybe they should speak to the janitors? Or you could, in a non accusatory way. Regarding you, I think you should talk to the other people who contributed the money and see how they feel about it. Do they want you to pay? Anyhow, your pretty much stuck. 🙁 I’d probably pay if it were me. Well, hope it turns out well in the end. Good luck!
superstarMemberI have an additional question about Devorah: How could she be a judge for men? Is that tznius? But I guess if she could sing infront of men judging is no big deal. ?
superstarMemberI just checked it out on Amazon.com It has a lot of mixed reviews. Some say that the touch screen is too hard to see outside… If I were you I’d find other people who have the canon 320 and check it out and see how they like it. Also, you can read reviews on amazon and other websites. Good luck!
superstarMemberpurplicious
your young, skinny, and have ADHD! (though i thought u’d be short instead of tall.)
superstarMemberMy sister is in Machon Raaya and she absolutely loves it. But there you wouldn’t be able to watch movies or listen to music… Also, the girls there are smart and want to learn.
January 23, 2013 7:38 pm at 7:38 pm in reply to: Must a boy who is in Shidduchim always be shaven? #924178superstarMemberI think beard stubble is okay as long as it doesn’t turn into a full grown, long beard cuz that will just make you look five years older than you really are. For a certain age, though, no stubble at all would be better.
superstarMemberYa that is why i felt so guilty. There is no way my friend would have gotten a ride there that night, if not for me.
superstarMemberWho says it’s a him? 🙂
And i already tried.
superstarMemberRight I know, but i just wanted to prove to WIY and Toi that it’s not only boys.
superstarMemberI know this is kinda an old thread but I just had to post a reply.
First of all, WIY, why do you assume all girls are emotional and cry during davening and therefore connect more easily to Hashem? Also, girls have tons of tznius issues that boys would not even dream of.
Toi, you scare me, but who says a women does not have those crazy things flying through her head too?
January 23, 2013 3:32 am at 3:32 am in reply to: Insanity!! Netura Karta Sicko Forces His Boys Into Frum Girls School in Antwerp #928902superstarMemberRight. So now I don’t see how the schools can refuse entry to anyone when they get government funds. Has this never happened that they did not want to accept someone and totally refused?
superstarMemberWell everyone is in a different time zone. But I’d guess night. (Unless people are on while they work…)
superstarMemberthanx so much Englishman
superstarMemberI know if I were you I would be soo curious, but I’m just scared that the person will see what I wrote and have a freak attack. (Even though I don’t think the person goes on here.) But whatever.
And please don’t tell me it’s not bad: Basically the person hung out with the opposite gender. (Wow me writing it makes it seems like no big deal.)
You might think this is really nothing but for me/ my school it’s huge!
Hope your satisfied because I am giving no further details.

superstarMemberI could never love a liar. Being honest is something that I feel is a major must!
superstarMemberIt makes me very sad to read this, but I do believe that that boy that was mean to your son does feel bad. And it also is very hard to ask for forgiveness. I feel like it might be important to actually figure out what was the ‘straw that broke the camels back’ and caused this whole train of events. (If you do not already know.) I bet your son does feel guilty when he does something that is not good. I know this is kind of weird but I’m thinking that it might help if you did cry in front of him and not hold back your emotions. (I think it would work for me.) I Hope things just get better from here.
superstarMemberThanx. I actually talked to the person and i think it made it worse. The person does not even feel bad and now i feel like the person’s a liar or just a bad influence and I just don’t wana be friends with them anymore.
superstarMemberI know this is completely off topic. but why does my computer keep telling me that my topic was deleted. and if its was, why? I guess I’m talking to the mods, but did this happen to anyone else? but please don’t delete this.
superstarMemberLike previous posters have mentioned- all Americans need to know how to drive normally and most do. The stories you heard happened to be bad drivers also in America. Also, where I live there are pedestrian crosswalks in the middle of main streets and we do have traffic circles, so I cannot understand why those people did not know how to drive.
January 20, 2013 11:07 pm at 11:07 pm in reply to: Insanity!! Netura Karta Sicko Forces His Boys Into Frum Girls School in Antwerp #928896superstarMemberWhat I don’t understand is what the school did wrong by not accepting his kids. Every school is entitled to pick and choose which families and what type of students they allow in. And there is a good reason for many schools not to want his family disrupting their school. (No matter if his kids are great or not!) Where I live schools all the time decide not to allow kids in. Or if they do not believe the family if frum enough for the school. Especially, if this man wants to bring his boys to girl schools and girls to boy schools. It’s the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of and the schools have every right to refuse their entry. I also do not see how he is winning the court cases.
superstarMemberfrummy in my tummy- i just want to make sure that you did not base your decision about her based on what these people have said. They did say important things, but the fact is that it’s your choice and there is such a thing as two people getting married who started off on different levels but are willing to grow together.
i’m sorry it did not work out. 🙁
superstarMemberrationalist frummie- ya that was the whole point. To be funny. Obviously no one is going to go by that list. No one should even go by anyone’s list except for what they feel is right.
