Satmer101-“he had told my wife that he has Hashkafa problems, also he was telling her that he even felt bad for the Palestinians”
Maybe there is something that I don’t understand. Of all the “problems” that he had, the one most egregious was feeling bad for the Palestinians?
stanleycParticipantThere are three types of people in this world
Those who can count
And those who cant
And those who ruin the punchlines of jokes

stanleycParticipantMr. big talker, patur aval assur, do you actually wear techeiles?
stanleycParticipantAs the GOQ attemps to call me out. Coreytothecup i assume you refer to. Why, pray tell, would i lie about looking it up?
stanleycParticipantNice! i’m poster 613! (or 614 and now im gonna look stupid for eternity)(mods, please make this happen)
stanleycParticipantThe fact that some jewish singers write christian songs is unsurprising, but i guess if someone i went to shul with did that it would be kinda weird
stanleycParticipantWIY- a bad date is not a rough time? how now, brown cow? a breakup after going out for several months? sounds like pretty rough stuff to me.
Oomis- what would you advise?
August 16, 2013 12:18 am at 12:18 am in reply to: Is this a chesed that should be passed up? #971105stanleycParticipantJust looked up this corey fella. I’m not, but i’m wondering if thats also a backhanded compliment of sorts. And how am i supposed to get you a slurpee. NOT SUBTLE QUESTION
stanleycParticipantWIY- point taken. However the minhag was in parentheses. Its a potential way for people to get through a rough time, not some kind of bizare drinking game
stanleycParticipantI also watch rats in the subway. I never thought that was normal, but maybe it is
August 15, 2013 12:54 pm at 12:54 pm in reply to: Is this a chesed that should be passed up? #971097stanleycParticipantThe Goq- never thought i’d see the day, but well said
stanleycParticipantWIY. Fella, you gotta chill out with all the hating. And classically irrelevantly talking about elul
stanleycParticipantWIY, theres no need to get snarky with me. If you had actually read the comments of the other posters you would see that there are arguments both ways. What is YOUR point?
stanleycParticipantListen, chayav inish, most of these texting things are from girls. I am very reluctant to get involved in such things.
stanleycParticipantThis whole thing is so stupid, everyone knows that techeiles was made up by the hareidim. Rabbi Slifkin told me!
stanleycParticipanteclipse- my worst teacher was the one who was nice and was a good teacher. thats not what school is supposed to be about
stanleycParticipantMuffins
stanleycParticipantDo you get embarrased when you help an old lady cross the street? Maybe you shuckel excessively when you daven
stanleycParticipantA ruler or a belt 🙁
stanleycParticipantN.G Please rephrase your question in a language we understand
#iamcool
stanleycParticipantI have a better idea! Lets pass a law that says that everybody has to get married
stanleycParticipantI’m already on my third marriage. i’m not sure whats so difficult
stanleycParticipantwelldressed007- “forthwith”? are you jesting your scurvy cur? Dont you know that people who stutter dont have a neshama?
stanleycParticipantParents- by the bar mitzvah
Friends- dont tell them, when the ask you if youre expecting get offended.
stanleycParticipantPro its in israel. con its in israel. Are you serious? Get a rebbi, get a psychologist, get a friend.

stanleycParticipantI I I I I I… Ddddddont think thats a pr pr pr pr oblem.
stanleycParticipantwow, popa_bar_abba, that is extraordinary insensitivity to the senior segment of our population. and i think the term retarted is considered to be quite politically incorrent these days
stanleycParticipantDoesnt that ad refer to reporting if you see a cop get shot or something? I would thing it to be more appropriate to say something when you see something
December 4, 2011 2:22 am at 2:22 am in reply to: Eating at peoples houses with teenage daughters? #984091stanleycParticipantShmuzing b’derech chiba is assur with any woman, even if shes related. So shmuzing with your cousin or aunt could technically be assur. For your aunt, though, it shouldnt normally be problematic
stanleycParticipantIs theres anybody who wont attend or will leave their high school because of this change in policy? This all seems very petty
stanleycParticipantWas there ever a point where mainstream american society considered colored shirts non chashuv?
stanleycParticipantReally? Every single cc guy ive ever spoken to seems to think that its yeherag v’al y’avor to wear white shirts. And the rosh yeshiva wouldve gone against the mesorah whenever it would be politically advantageous? I somehow doubt it
stanleycParticipantshmuelgr: just curious, why are you basing a life decision on what stanleys like me decide to post on yw? I’m sure whichever quality cc high school you attend has warm and loving rabbeim to give you actual advice. i guarantee that theyll talk to you about branches now if you threaten to leave the system
stanleycParticipantReally? Going against the mesorah is acceptable if its so that the community will view you differently?
