    Thanks for sharing.

Joseph had the Berditchiv account on his profile for a long time, clearly hoping for contact. I know that he got in contact with some people that way.

I ask kindly that only those who have something to share may speak to the group. Anyone who had nothing to share please stay quiet

Including shomrim. Thank you for your understanding.

I have a B70, no issues, but I hate it. It makes terrible coffee, even when I use my finest roasts (old timers may remember I am a bit of a coffee snob). A $10 coffee maker makes a better cup.

Pros are that it’s convenient and quick.

Cons are that it’s expensive to buy the K cups, the K cups are pretty bad coffee, and that it’s quick. The brewing process is better if it takes time, not when water is forced through a hole in 30 seconds, so a drip brewer does a better job. Also, the biggest cup you can make is about 8 oz, more than that and it’s too watery.

The My K cup lets you put your own coffee in, so the expense is not a issue. But it is a pain in the neck to clean, and it doesn’t produce a decent brew. Also, you can’t put in more than 1.5 tbsp of coffee at a time or you will get a mess. So 1 small cup (8 oz) at a time, then you have to clean it before you can run it again.

Chances are no one will want to come forward. It always takes one brave person to break the ice, and then you can’t stop the torrents.

To be fair, I think that would have always been taken seriously. Just no one believed it was serious in time.

This forum has made great progress with trolls. You have to give credit where it’s due. A year ago I was not even allowed to call out trolls (my posts were not approved), and now the mods are acknowledging the problem. Give it time, bro.

My name is 95 and I have a trolls.

It seems liek a good idea, but at the end of the day nothing they are trying to do will solve any of their personal problems. That’s the thing to keep in mind.

So, liek, they can keep whining about all the problems with this country, and maybe even be right. But even if they manage to enact change they are still going to have to actually do something for themselves to change their own life. The best ROI comes from working on yourself.

I think we need a group therapy session for Joseph’s victims… it will serve 2 purposes.

    1) It will be cathartic

    2) It will illustrate to those not victimized what he has done.

    Maybe I’ll start a thread.

Can someone address the difference in the sifrei torah themselves? The word “dakkoh” in Ki Tseitzei is spelled differently in the ST of sephardim and ashkenazim. A misspelled word in a ST is a pessul. Is it apropriate for one to use the ST of the other?

Who said atoms were always round? I think it is mathematically impossible to make certain shapes, like squares, out of round pieces. I’m not aware of any natural squares in nature, so we can’t prove that atoms were round before say, the pyramids.

    yitaningwat-

I’m sorry, but I disagree with you. It’s not for you to decide if its an insult, only the drivers can tell you how they feel. It most definitely is a question of sensitivity, and I think your replies underscores that. You are demonstrating a lack of sensitivity to their position. I might have the right to tell my employees to come to work over the weekend, for example, but it is insensitive of me to do so when they have a family wedding on Saturday.

You take for granted our civil rights, probably because you weren’t around before that. To call me ignorant is well, shall we say ignorant? At the very least its insulting, can we agree on that? Insensitive?

I find a sad irony in this. After all the work that went into getting the law to recognize our right to celebrate all our holidays and sabbaths without penalty, one would think that we’d automatically show sensitivity to the few holidays the goyim observe.

Offering to give the drivers a free pumkpin pie is just a slap in the face that underscores the insensitivity being shown. Imagine if your boss demands you come in on Rosh Hashana, and in response to your protest offers to give you a jar of honey for coming in. This is no different in their eyes.

I just checked myself and its.quite false. Snopes focuses on the story itself conflicting with ‘facts’ and that everything in the note is anecdotal and no scientific evidence is presented.

Plus if a doctor wrote this I would expect the big words to be medical terms that are relevant. The writer does not seem to onow that tinnitus is related to hearing for example. Also, asymptotic is a mathematical term – does not mean the same as asymptomatic.

You were more than the messenger, you were the witness, judge, and jury. When you use your subjective sense of righteousness to condemn the yeshiva world, you open yourself up to questions about your own character. If you can’t handle the responsibility, keep your mouth shut in the first place.

Where do you get the right to decide that your casual golf attire is preferable to formal attire worn casually? I’m with the yeshiva boys over you on this one.

all the boys, from the chatan to his younger brother, to his friends, to a number of other single men there, all wore their shirt collars open with a tie (many of them in garish neon colors) bearing an over sized Windsor Knot and ending well above the waist band (where a tie ought to end). what’s up with this?

    That’s rich, coming from you.

I guess Dr. Pepper is back in his bunker, but this time was definitely not my fault. I know this was his type of riddle, so too bad.

The answer is, what is special about today is that its the last binary day in our lifetimes.

    Now back to MY bunker.

I cant believe no one seems to have learned shulchan aruch. That is where halachos are codified. For shame.

The mechaber says answer amein to your own brocha at the end of.a group of 2 brochos. The rama says only after a group of 3. The sephardic and ashkenazic minhagim follow accordingly.

popa, I disagree. You may choose not to follow German law by.staying the blazes away from that country. I’d even recommend that. But once you’re there you can’t opt out. Just like when you visited my house you had to take off your shoes even though you didn’t want me to see the holes in your socks.

I prefer to give the answer. It’s Barak. You see, back when I was learning Navi we understood that Barak was the husband of Devorah, and a valiant man – but not the shofet. That’s not what they teach anymore, at least not according to the poster I saw. I wonder when the new edition of Nach comes out…
