CTLawyer: You are a dinosaur and completely out of touch with the modern party which,
with fewer and fewer exceptions, is set to turn on the Jews.

The fringe has unfortunately become the main stream and Schumer today sounds exactly like Sanders.
Biden’s abandonment of Israel seems almost complete as he is poised to call for a ceasefire.

The far-Left, which has now become the mainstream of the party, has a version of anti-Semitism
which is far more dangerous than the anti-Semitism of the far-right, because on the Left,
there are no principles of liberty and freedom which the right more or less accorded to all – even the ones they hate.

Rather, the Socialist/Marxist Democrat party of today is prepared to strip Jews of all rights,
sell Israel out for some votes in swing states and make life for Jews in the USA
as impossibly difficult as they made life for Jews on college campuses.

And dinosaurs like you will continue to defend a party of the past which no longer exists.

This statement contains many falsehoods and classic
anti-Jewish propaganda, the same kind of anti-Jewish propaganda
that has been used many times by Nazis during World War II,
and by professional terrorists, like: the PLO, Hamas, and Hezbollah.

During World War II, the Nazis operated a newspaper called
“Der Stürmer”, which was filled with false anti-Jewish propaganda.
HaKatan’s comment would fit perfectly into the pages of “Der Stürmer”.

Notice how HaKatan’s comment blames *** ONLY *** Jews,
for *** ALL (100%) *** of the problems, both in Israel and the world.

In HaKatan’s view of the world, *** ALL (100%) *** of the problems
are the fault of the Jews, and *** ONLY *** the Jews, which implies
that the Arabs and Muslims are blameless and innocent.

Jews did not “INVADE” Eretz Yisrael, they bought it with money,
at very high prices. And it was given to them by both the
League of Nations and the United Nations Organization.
But HaKatan chose to ignores all that.

What you just said is FALSE — it is a rewrite of Jewish History,
custom-tailored to fit your anti-Zionist ideological requirements.

Before the Kotel was liberated by “the Zionists”,
only a small part of the Kotel was accessible for Jewish prayers,
and Jews had to pay money even for that.

During the British Mandate, one Jew was thrown in jail
because he blew a shofar at the Kotel on Rosh HaShanah.

This is not the first time that the anti-Zionists have
created a false Jewish History that is custom-tailored
to fit their anti-Zionist ideological requirements.

    The anti-Zionists falsely teach that:
“Before the Zionists, Jews were treated well in Muslim lands.”

That statement is very false, and it has been refuted many times.

But the anti-Zionists still believe it, because it is a falsehood
that is custom-tailored to fit their ideological requirements.

Rabbi Chaim Vital expressed the view that the Three Oaths
were only binding for the first thousand years of Exile,
in his Introduction to Sefer Eitz Chayim.

So far, nobody in this Coffee Room has refuted this,
or even attempted to refute it.

A member of the Haredi community, Rabbi Chaim Walkin,
points out in his book, Daat Chaim, that Rambam
discussed the Three Oaths only in the Epistle to Yemen,
but not in his Halachic work, the Mishnah Torah.

Rabbi Walkin postulates that this is because while Rambam
saw these oaths as important, he did not consider them
to be legally binding as Halachah, only that they serve as
“warnings that these actions would be unsuccessful”.

For 18 centuries, the land of Israel was a barren desert wasteland,
with very few crops and very few people.

That holy land is now filled with many farms that produce
huge amounts of crops, and millions of people.

Even the Gentiles are amazed by the transformation
of the land of Israel from barren desert wasteland
    to highly-productive farmlands.

EVEN THE ARABS are very impressed by the transformation
of the land of Israel from barren desert wasteland to
highly-productive farmlands, and they are jealous of this!

The only people who are not impressed by this modern-day

In year 1922 of the Common Era, the League of Nations
designated both sides of the Jordan River as a future homeland FOR JEWS.

The British Empire was given a mandate by the League of Nations
to administer and rule that land, until it became a future homeland FOR JEWS.

Since the League of Nations represented almost every nation (at that time)
Jews who return to Eretz Yisrael are NOT REBELLING against the nations,
and the Three Oaths NO LONGER APPLY (assuming that they ever applied at all).

My Thoughts After 150 Days without Music
    =============================

Since my early childhood, music has always been part of my life.
Since my early childhood, I listened to music almost every day of my life.
I used to spend lots of time listening to music, both by day and by night.

Then on October 7, 2023, Hamas committed genocidal terrorist attacks on Jews.
This has been called “the worst loss of Jewish life since the Holocaust”.

Since then, for more than 150 days, I have not spent even one minute
listening to any kind of music, because I cannot justify enjoying myself with music,
while our brothers and sisters in our homeland experience horrific suffering.

Nobody told me to do this; only my own mind makes me do it.
I never did anything like this before; it is a new experience for me.

Sometimes memories of the music that I used to listen to enter my mind,
but I push those memories away, because for me, memories of the music
that I used to listen to are almost like listening to music,
because my musical memories are very accurate.

Without listening to music, or even listening to my musical memories,
I believe that mind and thoughts have become clearer.

Several weeks ago, I saw an advertisement for a new kind of pillow,
which claimed to offer superior comfort while sleeping.
I wanted to buy that pillow, to help me sleep better.

But then I remembered that our brothers and sisters in our homeland
are experiencing horrific suffering. So I decided to not buy the pillow,
because I cannot increase my comfort while so many Jews suffer so much.

When the Melech HaMashiach comes, and all of our suffering has ended,
then I can get that new pillow.

The Gentiles of the world have certainly failed to abide by The Third Oath:

“DO NOT OVERLY SUBJUGATE THE JEWS DURING THEIR EXILE.”

The structure of the Talmud statement makes it clear that
The Three Oaths were a contractual relationship —
once one of the sides breaks its commitment,
so too the other side is released from the contract.

Though the Talmud does not define precisely how much
subjugation is too much, it can be assumed that centuries of:
Crusades, Inquisitions, Blood Libels and many other false accusations,
Pogroms, Jew-Taxes, beatings, tortures, unjust imprisonments,
and the horrors of the Holocaust have effectively severed
the Jewish people’s obligation to remain in Exile.

Rabbi Teichtal, in his book “Em Habanim Smeicha” offers this explanation:

Although the Jews were sworn not to enter Eretz Yisrael forcefully,
the nations of the world were also sworn not to persecute the Jews too much.

Over the course of the exile, the Jews were severely persecuted by the gentiles.
Because the gentiles violated their oath, the Jews were no longer bound by their oath.

President Joe Biden has permitted 7.3 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS to enter the USA.

They all receive, at taxpayer expense: free housing, free food, free electricity,
free water, free money and some receive government jobs.

All ILLEGAL ALIENS have received debit cards with $5,000 pre-loaded onto each card.

They are also intended to receive free Driver’s Licenses, so they can vote.

Can you calculate how much money this is costing the unfortunate USA taxpayers?

Since the 7.3 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS are NOT being investigated in any way,
it is extremely likely that their numbers include many tens-of-thousands of:
illegal drug dealers, gang members, spies, terrorists, and convicted felons,
including: murderers, car thieves, home burglars, rapists, kidnappers and con artists.

Can you image how many billions of dollars this will cost the unfortunate
USA taxpayers, when the criminals need to be arrested and jailed?

Can you image how much this will cost the unfortunate USA taxpayers,
when the terrorists plant bombs on: bridges, buildings, buses and subways?

Can you imagine being told that your local hospital emergency room
cannot help you any time soon, because doctors are busy helping ILLEGAL ALIENS?

But the cost of their medical treatment will be paid-for by the unfortunate taxpayers.

But none of that matters, so long as the 7.3 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS
vote for President Joe Biden and his Democratic Party,
because that is the reason why they were permitted to enter the USA.

What ex-President Barack Hussein Obama Gave to USA:

    (1) The American people elect a black president with a total of 142 days experience as a US Senator from the most politically corrupt state (city) in America whose governors have been ousted from office. The President’s first official act is to order the close of Gitmo and make sure terrorist’s civil rights are not violated.

    (2) The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen Gitmo Terrorists.

    (3) The CIA Boss appointee, Leon Panetta, has absolutely no experience, has a daughter Linda, we find out, who is a true radical anti-American activist and a supporter of all the Anti-American regimes in the western hemisphere.

    (4) We got the second most corrupt American woman (Pelosi is #1) as Secretary of State; bought and paid for.

    (5) We got a Treasury Secretary who did not properly file his own taxes for 12 years.

    (6) A Commerce Secretary nominee who withdrew due to corruption charges.

    (7) A Tax cheat nominee for Chief Performance Officer who withdrew under charges.

    (8) A Labor Secretary nominee who withdrew under charges of unethical conduct.

    (9) A Secretary HHS nominee (Daschle) who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes.

    (10) Multiple appointments of former lobbyists after an absolute campaign statement that no lobbyists would be appointed.

    Jonathan S. Tobin said:

“As our Evelyn Gordon wrote in a prescient COMMENTARY [magazine]
article published in January 2010, by signaling its willingness to withdraw
from some territory, the Israelis did not convince anyone of their good intentions.

To the contrary, such concessions reinforced the [false]
conviction that Israel was a thief in possession of stolen property.

The reaction from the Palestinians and hostile Europeans
was not gratitude for the generosity of the Israelis
in giving up land to which they too had a claim,
but a demand that it be forced to give up even more.

Land-for-peace schemes and a belief in two states
on the part of Israelis has always led most Palestinians
to believe that their goal of forcing the Jews
out of the entire country was more realistic, not less so.”

    by lofty slogans like ‘pro-Israel/pro-peace’.

These words are intended to give the impression that
all that Israel has to do is immediately withdraw from the territories,
and then peace would ultimately break out.

This ignores the empirical evidence of what happened after
the withdrawal from southern Lebanon in May of 2000,
giving Hezbollah and their 150,000 missiles easy striking distance to Israel.

It also ignores the internally gut-wrenching Gaza withdrawal of 2005,
where the land has been used to launch thousands of rockets*
and incendiary devices launched from kites and balloons,
making life for those on Gaza’s neighboring communities a living hell

Jordan is essentially already the Palestinian Arab state.

Top Five Foods that make people fat, and ruin their health and shidduch chances:
    =====================================================

[1] All sugary drinks, which includes almost every flavored drink.

Crystal Light is NOT SUGAR FREE!
It contains maltodextrin, which is even worse than regular sugar.

[2] Soda is the worst of all sugary drinks.
It makes you FAT, while attacking your teeth and bones.

[3] Potatoes correlate with obesity more than any other one food.
The most unhealthy way to eat potatoes is French Fries.

[4] Peanuts and Peanut Butter will make you fat very quickly.
Most nuts are high in nutrients, but they are also high in fat.

[5] Food eaten late at night will cause obesity and digestive problems.

OVERLOOKED REASONS WHY ISRAEL’S PEACE NEGOTIATIONS WITH ARABS FAIL:

[1] Every time Israel expresses willingness to make major territorial giveaways in exchange for worthless promises, they give new hope to those people who want Israel to vanish completely.

[2] Every time Israel expresses willingness to make territorial giveaways, they convince more people that the land does NOT belong to Israel, because if the land really belongs to Israel, then why would they be willing to give it away to their enemies?

[3] Israel’s willingness to make territorial compromises is misinterpreted by Arabs and Muslims as a sign of weakness; and the perception of weakness inspires Arabs and Muslims to attack Israel, not to make peace with Israel.

[4] In Arab and Muslim culture, written contracts and treaties do not have the same sacred binding character they do in Europe and the Americas. One possible reason for this is the historically very-low-rate of literacy among Arabs and Muslims.

    Another reason for this:
Islam teaches that treaties that Muslims make with non-Muslims can be broken, as soon as it is to the advantage of Muslims to do so.

Therefore, written Peace Treaties with Muslims are worthless, and only work temporarily, for as long as the Muslims know that they are not able to conquer the non-Muslims.

Nachi Gordon Urges Community Not to Flaunt Lavish Vacations on Social Media
February 7, 2024 by Baruch Green

(VINnews) — Kudos to renowned podcaster and media figure Nachi Gordon, who has called out members of the frum community who boast about their lavish vacations on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, while so many people are suffering in Eretz Yisrael.

In a Twitter post Tuesday, the founder and CEO of Meaningful Minute and the co-host of Meaningful People, pointed out the insensitivity of American Jews posting about vacations while our fellow Jews are at war.

He expressed criticism of “flaunting five star vacations when chayalim are sleeping on the floor in Gaza” and people are “fighting with blood, sweat and tears in Gaza”.

Nachi made it clear that there is nothing wrong with taking a vacation, suggesting that the real issue is flaunting it and lacking proper sensitivity to the plight of so many Jewish brethren.

For the benefit of people who are too young to remember,
there are specific words that describe places that have no Jews:
    Judenrein and Judenfrei.

Both of these words were used by Nazi Germany
to describe places that no longer had any Jews.

When Defense Minister Gallant assures the USA
that no Jews will return to Gaza after war, he is
promising that Gaza will be Judenrein and Judenfrei.

Why should Gaza be Judenrein and Judenfrei
when 20% of Israel’s population is Arab Muslims?

Why should Gaza be Judenrein and Judenfrei
when 20% of Israel’s Knesset is Arab Muslims?

Why should Gaza be Judenrein and Judenfrei
when 20% of Israel’s Supreme Court is Arab Muslims?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judenfrei

Last but not least, if Gaza must be 100% Judenrein,
    then Israel should be 100% Arab-rein and 100% Muslim-rein.

In the early 2000s, there was a list of over 100 shadchanim, maybe 200+.

I volunteered to update and correct that list,
    by calling each shadchan individually,
and asking if they were still active, or not.
I spent several weeks doing that.

I also asked each shadchan questions, similar to these:

[1] What kind of singles do you normally help?

[2] What age range do you work with?

[3] When is the best time for singles to call you?

[4] Do you have more boys, or more girls, or both equally?

[5] Do you work with: Litvish? Chasidish? Modern Orthodox?
Sephardim? Baalei Teshuvah? Gairim? Russians? Divorced?

That list no longer exists because its author abandoned it many years ago.
The author of that list is disgusted by shadchanim, and refuses to call them.
No, I was *** NOT *** the author of that list!!!

Yes, I really did call 50 shadchanim.
(Actually, I called more than 100, but it no longer matters.)

Yes, I really did ask 50 shadchanim:
What are the biggest obstacles that ruin shidduchim?

Yes, 50 shadchanim told me the biggest problems are short boys and fat girls.

If anyone here doubts that what I said is true,
then I invite YOU to call 50 shadchanim,
    and ask them all:
What are the biggest obstacles that ruin shidduchim?

This will take time, but you might actually learn something!
You probably won’t do it, because it is easier
to accuse and criticize, than it is to do something helpful.

When I volunteered to update and correct that list,
I did so LeShem Shamayim, to help my fellow Jews.

When I started this discussion, in this Coffee Room,
I also did it LeShem Shamayim, to help my fellow Jews.

Are we Jews required to believe that Chazal [ancient Rabbis and Torah Scholars] possessed complete knowledge of: radio waves and radio technology, television technology, telephone technology, digital cameras, tape recorders, email technology, nuclear energy, solar energy, Quantum Physics, Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, x-rays, the Periodic Table of Elements, the ring structure of benzene molecules, BC Calculus & Calculus of Complex Variables & multi-variable Calculus, Differential Equations, Analysis of Variance, Matrix Algebra, Neutron Stars and Black Holes, Microwave Oven technology and modern anesthesia?

Most Charedim believe that all Secular Education is FORBIDDEN.
How could Chazal have complete knowledge of all
modern science and technology, if Secular Education is FORBIDDEN?

If Chazal had complete knowledge of all modern science and technology, then they must have spent MANY years studying those things.
If Chazal spent many years studying modern science and technology, then how did they have enough time to master all of Torah? How could they justify taking time away from Torah study to master all of those sciences and technologies?

And from where did they learn all of science and technology? Who taught them?

I have been in Orthodox Judaism for 40 years, and many people who know Torah have praised my Torah knowledge. But during those 40 years, NOBODY ever told me that we Jews are required to believe that Chazal possessed complete knowledge of all modern science and all modern technology – until I met Mr. AviraDeArah, in this Coffee Room.

Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan [ZTL ZYA] was a genius in both Torah and secular sciences.

Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan’s book about Rambam’s 13 principles of Emunah NEVER MENTIONS that we Jews are required to believe that Chazal possessed ANY knowledge of modern science or technology.

Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan also wrote another, much-longer book about what Jews should believe: THE HANDBOOK OF JEWISH THOUGHT.
Again, that book NEVER MENTIONS that we Jews are required to believe that Chazal possessed ANY knowledge of modern science or technology.
I read both of those books many times, I know what I am talking about.

I started this discussion LeShem Shamayim, to help my fellow Jews.
I do not receive any personal benefit from this discussion; I did it as a chesed.

When I was attacked by AviraDeArah, I felt as if I had been punched in the face, as part of a totally unexpected surprise attack. My feelings of shock were so great that I was unable to respond, because I stunned into silence.
