apushatayid – unfortunately the doctor isnt a lady doctor so its not tznius to be there with him alone all day long.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – so maybe if i got help from a shadchan then i wouldnt have to worry about making my own shidduch. plus the shadchan doesnt like setting girls up with doctors. so ill go find my own doctor even if he doesnt keep shomer. so then he wont touch me. big deal. and if still wants to touch me then i guess his not for me. Hashem will find me someone else.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – i was also asking a question about the game. is it israel?
SparklyMemberSadgirlygirl – perfect. since your in college just say that you got too busy with your classes. no one will question you then.
August 9, 2016 4:33 am at 4:33 am in reply to: Should religious girls learn halachot and mussar on a frequent basis? #1164471SparklyMemberdovrosenbaum – they should study science and math instead and become doctors?
SparklyMemberRight time to get married is now:)
August 9, 2016 4:32 am at 4:32 am in reply to: Why people become OTD (with the focus on the "why") #1164878SparklyMemberzahavasdad – it is a religion its called athisiem (just joking just because so many people are considered athiest why not consider it a religion?).
SparklyMemberiacisrmma – do you smoke? in the last post you made yourself sound like you smoke!
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – so sleep instead of go on this. im on here often because i have nothing else to do after im done with all my college work. thats the plus of not being married yet you can do whatever you want after your done with all your work. but i doubt in like a month ill be this free since i have to catch up on college work for yom tov and taking more classes even tho 7 credits in 5 weeks isnt enough (being sarcastic – im just good at math):( is it israel?
SparklyMemberkapusta – thats what i was thinking.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – is it towards a direction?
SparklyMemberWolfishMusings – sometimes stuff are big and all capital letters just to make sure you know whats important not trying to shout.
August 9, 2016 2:12 am at 2:12 am in reply to: Why people become OTD (with the focus on the "why") #1164876SparklyMemberdovrosenbaum – i dont believe people would go otd because of their teachers because otherwise id be otd.
SparklyMemberdovrosenbaum – why is that? so your saying that i should stop keeping shomer because the guy i marry doesnt keep shomer?
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamid – is it a chumash or siddur?
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – b’h on yeshiva world unlike yahoo answers (which is like the coffee room just mostly goyim) there are moderators to watch what you say and delete stuff they feel like can give away who you are, are inappropriate, etc… keeping away all that shtus from us unlike on yahoo answers. They consider our yeshivish people “modern” and me not frum lol.
August 9, 2016 12:40 am at 12:40 am in reply to: Why people become OTD (with the focus on the "why") #1164874SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – which psychology class are you taking? btw you dont need to read your textbook at all to get an a in psychology. just memorize everything your teacher tells you to. that class is a joke but very interesting i got a in all my psychology classes b’H.
SparklyMembernon of yo beez wax – thank you for copying my thread (being sarcastic). please stop trolling.
SparklyMemberNeville ChaimBerlin – please stop attacking people who are mo. this has nothing to do with mo. this has something to do with the fact that smoking is clear cut bad for a person and pikuach nefesh.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – i guessed if it were a human lol. Is it a instrument?
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – i think they have filters. i live in a more modern place.
August 8, 2016 1:40 pm at 1:40 pm in reply to: Why people become OTD (with the focus on the "why") #1164867SparklyMemberlightbrite – psychology proved what you were saying about 50 looking back and passing on information to the next generation.
lilmod ulelamaid – they even talk about people who went off in the Torah. i am VERY bad at remembering names so im sure you can guess who im referring to.
SparklyMemberlightbrite – my rabbi doesnt smoke and he wouldnt be my rabbi if he did smoke.
shopping 613 – thats ONLY if you didnt grow up with movies. i do agree with you. but it ONLY happens with people who didnt grow up with movies and then watch them.
SparklyMemberis it a human?
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – not where i live. and that includes the rabbis.
August 8, 2016 4:09 am at 4:09 am in reply to: Why people become OTD (with the focus on the "why") #1164861SparklyMemberjoseph – i dont know if thats so true since i know many adults who are still otd to this very day. (40 years old about)
SparklyMembercould it be an animal?
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – conservative and reform (the ones i know) dont keep shabbos and kosher but they do stuff for yom tov and go to their reform or conservative syangogue. have bar and bas mitzvahs. bas mitzvah are usually done at the wrong age. so on.
SparklyMemberhealth – thats why its better to never start since its REALLY HARD to stop.
SparklyMemberIs it a broom?
Is it a vacuum?
SparklyMembersorry this is my first time playing…. ill try again. Is it a chair?
SparklyMemberIs it sceince or math?
SparklyMemberIs it a house?
SparklyMemberIs it poisonous?
SparklyMemberyehudayona – NOT everyone will even marry people who stop smoking since they think theyll start again.
SparklyMembersyag lchochma – not at all. i truly believe that people should NOT smoke and that its pickuach nefesh. i believe that its worse to smoke than watch TV, listen to not jewish music and go out to movies.
daas yochid – i dont know about that.
i have taken MANY biology classes and learnt about how bad smoking is for a person. i truly do believe that people can die from it. in fact i believe my own grandfather died from cancer because of smoking. i also believe in second hand smoke which means if someone smokes and you smell it its VERY bad. i do not want second hand smoke its NOT good for me. its pikuach nefesh for me and for my children.
SparklyMemberSyag Lchochma – i think the same about both an alchoholc and a smoker and once your going there a druggy.
SparklyMemberyeshivish yenta – park? boating? walking? biking?
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – the reform and conservative people i know do believe in Hashem.
SparklyMemberNeville ChaimBerlin – that is SOOO different. so now you want to tell me that your definition of modern is someone who watches TV and listens to not jewish music and goes to movies? Thats considered regular like me NOT mo like the only people who dont are the rabbis kids. i happen to have a mo rabbi as well but i dont consider going to movies, listening to not jewish music, watching TV mo its NOT going against the Torah. Breaking shomer, wearing pants, etc.. are going against the Torah.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – that is true most yeshivish people dont have internet but most do have a computer without internet.
SparklyMembershopping 613- and you only lived in israel for how long and you already insist that you know everything about there? the guy i know i think its much better for him to go onto the internet and watch TV than smoke (which he does watch TV and go onto the internet and does not smoke). smoking is pikuach nefesh. i dont blame the frum girls from america not marrying the israeli boys from there they sound like the shidduch for me would be a disaster. btw the boy grew up and lived his majority of his life in israel and is obviously the way you make it sound MUCH better than other israeli boys his age from there. watching TV and going on the internet is NOT pikuach nefesh.
lilmod ulelamaid – the reason why i keep talking specifically about the isreali boy is because his VERY much my type and shopping 613 keeps on saying how much i hate israeli boys (at least thats the way she makes it sound) and im probably going to marry an israeli boy so i dont like her saying stuff like that (that boy in specific.)
SparklyMemberiacisrmma – it is otd because you need to take care of your health. their specifically doing something bad for their health.
syag lachochma – i 100% agree.
Joseph – my guy wont smoke h’h. theirs plenty that dont. in fact most of the ones i know dont.
wolfish musings – your referring to a lady that was not born religious. it is so different. cannot even compare the 2. whatever she did keep that was extra was good enough for her.
yehudayona – you just hit my point. my future husband h’h went to the same type of yeshiva as your daughters husband did. but he still refused to smoke. he always knew it was bad. and b’h didnt otherwise we may never end up together.
SparklyMembermashiach agent – that was a typo and i wasnt able to fix it.
joseph – most of the boys i know dont smoke because its bad for their health and b’h they go to yeshiva with all different types of boys. so if i were to date someone they would let me know if they smoked or not and tell me not to date them. i dont think a girl should be forced to have to marry a smoker. this is bad for her health and her kids health.
SparklyMemberMaybe they have a science center? look it up on the internet.
SparklyMemberdont go to bahamas if your worried about pritzus.
SparklyMemberwhere do you live?
SparklyMembermiami lawyer – your not religous and thats why you will disagree with me. i know my rabbi may say its okay to touch which is why the guys dont keep shomer. but i do because i think its wrong. but i wont argue and therefore if my guy does not keep shomer then i will still go out with him but not touch him. at least ill know he doesnt want me for my body he wants me for me.
barrys- everyone needs a good education no matter how religious you are.
joseph – not necessarily. there are people who might study Torah just for the fun of it but not actually believe in it.
reb yidd – neither have i and i have taken many chem lab classes. you need to know how to measure a cylinder NOT calculate it.
sady girly girl – for many girls who take karate lessons (also including guys) are considered mo.
SparklyMembergeordie613- your from england im assuming? if you are then yes it is.
