SparklyMember
does it have something to do with electronics?
SparklyMemberyekke2 – no one said that you can pick and choose from the Torah chasvichalilla.
SparklyMemberToi – its for a girl not a guy.
August 25, 2016 4:26 am at 4:26 am in reply to: are we allowed to discuss stuff from class on here and ask questions about it? #1171030SparklyMemberccguy – why did you take it?
SparklyMembervod2117 – 4th date is TOO early. try the 12th date.
SparklyMemberdovrosenbaum – they cant fail you just like that otherwise they can lose their job take my teacher for example who hated me and still gave me an a.
Syag Lchochma – ask for a school loan. i love college level classes just its too time consuming and i want to do other stuff rather than just school school school school school.
SparklyMemberapushatayid – what do you mean by that?
SparklyMemberlakewhut – mo is also jewish and frum.
August 25, 2016 3:35 am at 3:35 am in reply to: are we allowed to discuss stuff from class on here and ask questions about it? #1171028SparklyMemberHealth – you DONT get paid to discuss something like that. i ALWAYS post questions about sceince and math on yahoo answers and always get lots of good responses. so i wanted to know if everyone here would like to discuss these subjects.
SparklyMemberCTLAWYER – for me my schedule is like this: go to school come home study for 10 hours for a quiz then do homework for 4 hours then study for test 30 hours then do some more homework for 4 hours, etc… NOT EXAGGERATING because these are science classes and when i was in school (actual school not homeschooled) i flunked science so for me science is VERY HARD so it takes me MUCH more time to study but i do get it eventually and sometimes even get a! thats why i was saying i might not have enough time while im studying ALL these hours and at school for ALL these hours to be on the coffee room so you wont be seeing me around much anymore starting next week. theres not so many schools here so i go to the closet one and its about 30 minutes – an hour away. also i didnt go to a normal high school since i was homeschooled so im not use to being away at school ALL day long.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – NOT if i go out to work to support us even if its just tutoring.
SparklyMemberabsan – like not talking to guys? not watching TV? not listening to not jewish music? not wearing shorter skirts?
SparklyMemberYW Moderator-29 – okay ill admit it the people do it on their own but the WHOLE shul does it on their own and the rabbi doesnt tell anyone off even if he sees them wearing pants. But the stuff about the guys and girls talking is not being exaggerated. the touching he might say is a problem but girls and guys talking isnt. he said its because its for shidduchim and its okay for a girl or guy to make their own shidduch. he would say the shorter skirts arent an issue but the pants are. and some other stuff i wasnt exaggerating about like not jewish music and watching TV.
SparklyMemberHappygirlygirl – its because im trying to become more religious but i cant.
August 25, 2016 1:55 am at 1:55 am in reply to: "Boy," "man," and "guy," "single," "married," and #1174655SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – they have terms for that. 0 – 1 baby 1-3 toddler, 4- 9 child, 10 – 12 tween, 13 – 19 teen, 20 – 30 young adult, 30 – 60 adult, 60 and on – senior or elder.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – im pretty sure she said she just graduated.
SparklyMemberMeno – exactly ill be a pharmacist h’h that makes LOTS of money. pharmacists are the breadwinners usually.
lilmod ulelamaid – if were both still in school Hashem will take care of us.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – maybe you saw someone say they werent jewish?
August 25, 2016 1:30 am at 1:30 am in reply to: are we allowed to discuss stuff from class on here and ask questions about it? #1171026SparklyMemberMeno – sorry i dont cheat on tests. i meant like if i wanted help with studying and had a question.
Meno and lilmod ulelamaid – have either of you taken organic chemistry or a and p? thats what i wanted to discuss…
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – thats insulting to call my rabbi not religious especially since that is pure motzei shemra. if you knew who i was talking about you wouldnt say that his not a religious rabbi. also i think i was exaggerating a bit since he DIDNT say you can LITERALLY do whatever you want. he said you cant play ball on shabbos just saying… and many others say you can… just because the people who listen to him dont keep shomer and tznius and he has speeches where girls come in wearing pants DOESNT mean his not a religious rav it just means VERY mo people have him as their rabbi.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – im going into my 3rd year of full time college h’h including winter and summer classes. i feel like i need college otherwise id feel like a drop out.
SparklyMemberMeno – so your saying that if i drive him to yeshiva and talk to him thats not okay? but lets say we dont talk and his just in the backseat of the car not next to me not speaking to me?
SparklyMemberHealth – so your saying just because their not dating yet if they would have found a girl that they liked they would date her no matter what?
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – are there any non jews who post?
SparklyMemberMeno – thats gross for a guy to dye his hair.
lilmod ulelamaid – my rabbi said that if the wife gives permission to the husband to dye his hair his allowed to. but i DONT want my husband dying his hair. and i dont know why guys would think i look better with my hair dyed but okay.
August 24, 2016 9:05 pm at 9:05 pm in reply to: Survey: Are you more frum than your parents or less frum than them? #1171142SparklyMemberMeno – why are you considered OTD? wearing a small yarmulka DOESNT make you OTD. what makes someone OTD is if they stop keeping shabbos and kosher and some other stuff.
August 24, 2016 9:02 pm at 9:02 pm in reply to: Survey: Are you more frum than your parents or less frum than them? #1171140SparklyMemberJoseph – it depends. im less frum than my dad but as frum as my mom.
SparklyMemberMeno – im not interested in random guys who arent my type since the shidduch probably wouldnt work.
SparklyMembergofish – the type mo i am?
SparklyMemberhow can they have found a girl that they are or arent interested in yet if they havent begun dating? also im NOT the one who asked these guys if their dating it was other people.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – their are non religious people on here. that wasnt my point.
SparklyMemberMeno – my mother knows the guy im referring to and its NOT safe to talk on the phone and drive.
SparklyMemberMeno – your a guy. so your NOT allowed to dye your hair unless your wife lets you.
SparklyMembermotivation is the key.
SparklyMemberSparklyMemberHealth – why are they choosey just because they want to wait to get married? these are the kinds of guys that ill probably end up marrying. but im trying to convince them to start dating YOUNGER.
SparklyMembergofish – whats rw modern?
August 24, 2016 3:49 pm at 3:49 pm in reply to: "Boy," "man," and "guy," "single," "married," and #1174632SparklyMemberMeno – i do sometimes.
SparklyMemberMeno – yes its called goyim.
August 24, 2016 3:28 pm at 3:28 pm in reply to: "Boy," "man," and "guy," "single," "married," and #1174629SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – i should have said a professional degree. and when a guy learning in kollel becomes mature enough to be considered a man thats when their considered a man with some exceptions.
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – dont you think that would be bizarre if they deleted it for kiruv?
SparklyMemberbump but with new question similar and good for this topic.
my question is: so we already decided its NOT tznius for girls to get rides from guys. but i go to college and know some guys who go to yeshiva and college at the same time and dont have cars. can i give those guys rides to yeshiva? or lets say i see a guy at the store needing a ride. can i give him a ride back to yeshiva?
SparklyMemberHealth – so your saying the guys are being choosey since they dont want to start dating until their like 22,23,24,25, etc….?
August 24, 2016 1:56 pm at 1:56 pm in reply to: Is there only one person whom you can successfully marry? #1174871SparklyMembertheres 7 of them and you marry 1.
SparklyMemberis he in the not jewish world?
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – for 20 questions i couldnt come up with anything so i asked you if it had something to do with kiruv?
August 24, 2016 1:53 pm at 1:53 pm in reply to: "Boy," "man," and "guy," "single," "married," and #1174625SparklyMember“Boy” – up till like 14.
“man” – is in workforce
“guy” – around 14 and up until in workforce
“single” – until you have a wife or husband
“married” – you have a wife or husband
SparklyMemberYW Moderator-100 – is that why you like deleting?
is it part of kiruv?
SparklyMemberlilmod ulelamaid – why did you choose me?
SparklyMemberHealth – so your saying im being choosey? because i want a certain guy?
