its also interesting that the uniform skirts also got shorter.. when i went to school we had skirts till our ankles.. i guess in the recesson they cut the fabric..
so the kids dont say anything cuz mom is doing it also.. i guess. its abig problem that should be more enforced in schools first..

November 11, 2010 7:06 pm at 7:06 pm in reply to: VOTE HERE if guys in BMG should wear name tags #729119snapplegrlMemberi vote yes- only good can come out of it… seating charts are good but u have to go find the potential person. If everyone has nametags you can bump into a person and know who he is and decide if he is good for sister, neice, cousin… i think it will help.. its a little superficial just looking at the boys but physical compatibility is a plus to check into more..
snapplegrlMemberwhats the difference between a jeweler and a jailer?
snapplegrlMemberthe girls were not jappy my year (but since Mesilos closed down it could be they got the more jappy flatbush type) im a regular By type from Flatbush. I chose BC because it is a well established seminary that my school really speaks highly of. back in the day it was the most popular sem to get into.. The teachers were good and normal cant say that all were jaw dropping lessons. but we had 2-3 amazing ones. i gained more from the expereinces being there- shabbasim, shabbatons, tiyulim, yom iyun, extra curricular there is great (rochel imeinu yartzeit program, rav shach program) they also arranged for us to go to meiron lag baomer so we dont have to make our own arrangements. if you have few friends going to make a great group youll meet others.. and youll have a great year…
snapplegrlMemberIm a big Bnos Chava fan-i had the best year!! but groups of girls change and they dont have mrs tarshish anymore so cant say so much how it is now.. But one thing i noticed about Bnos Chava compared to other sems is the schedule.. they have school in the morning and at night and most afternoons you are free. Once a week you have class and once a week you need to go to Chessed family but otherwise you have time to enjoy yourtime in eretz yisrael, visit siblngs. do homework, catch up on sleep. my friends in other sems had school from 8-4 like high school and went back to the dorm to do homework.. BC girls are able to get around (not sure if parents like that) but i thought was great… if u have any specific questions on BC i went few years ago..
snapplegrlMemberAs much as i love roller coasters- i always get scared that seatbelts will open while while we flying in the air… but that doesnt stop me from going…
i also scared of police- flashing me down…
snapplegrlMemberthanks! I love to eat bread so its not a problem. i want to know more about the segula and mitzva that its for.

Kagan the number in the booklet to order more copies is 847-679-4903… i used it today and it is very helpful in reminding us of sins that frequently occur.
April 8, 2010 10:09 pm at 10:09 pm in reply to: Mussar Sefarim and Examples on Shtika-Silence #682474snapplegrlMemberIyov was punished because he was quiet and got a lot of yissurim for that. u know that story yisro/bilaam/iyov.. it would be nice for you to compare good shetika and bad shetika… usually we say shetika kehodaa- if your quiet that means you agree on the matter.. is this for some seminary report???

snapplegrlMemberI used to play violin- i totally recommend it for anyone who appreciates its sound and doesnt think it sounds like a “scratching blackboard” .. its known to be the hardest instrument and i dropped it because it takes many hours of practice and precision..
