Coffee- WHY are you here then? You knew about recycling before you moved here. You knew about the dirt, the heat, the beeping, the traffic, the ticketing, the unfriendly sour people, the always in a rush, the smelly stinky city….
I’m here cuz I was born here and never got my way outta here yet, but why would someone actually move to NY???
smartcookieMemberDroid- they’ll cancel my order and issue a refund without a problem.
My question is if I can make them send me my order anyway, since their price is lowest. I’m waiting 5 weeks for it and I’m very disappointed.
smartcookieMemberOk, here goes my problem:
I placed an order with CSN(strollers.com) 5 weeks ago. I got a confirmation that the order will arrive on or before 7/18/11.
When I didn’t receive shipping confirmation today, I called them to find out that “they’re not sure why they didn’t inform me, but they won’t have my stroller in stock for about another month or so.”
I’m so annoyed. I’m waiting for this stroller for weeks and I really need it. I can cancel here and reorder on a different site for more money, but if I’m paying full price after all, I could’ve gotten it weeks ago from any site.
I want to hear if there’s anything I can do with this order before I go ahead and cancel. Legally, do they HAVE to send me the order by 7/18? Can I do anything about it at all?
smartcookieMemberNot again.
Not again.
Not again.
We went through this topic in depth…
smartcookieMemberShe’ll be back soon with another name like all others who are “gone”…
smartcookieMemberMinyan Gal- you’re judging too quick here.
He might be a good person in other areas, and he might be a great father to his children.
He definitely needs help, but it’s still no reason to leave him YET.
You can never know if he had some terrible experience in the past that’s scaring him away from getting another job, or if he’s suffering from depression as mentioned above.
The OP didn’t indicate anything about their Shalom Bayis being worked on here.
I wish her much Hatzlacha.
smartcookieMemberLet’s not forget the chocolate in moderation.
smartcookieMemberMake sure she lives out of town….;)
(JK, I really love my shvigger!)
smartcookieMemberHashem and the Malachim cried hard during that short yet very strong sun shower.
smartcookieMemberWell said.
smartcookieMemberI try to be a better to my kids.
smartcookieMemberI used something called “Kali Tzom” which has helped me a lot with fasting well. I know others who have used it too and fasted better.
I cannot speak for the other easy fast pills around, but this one worked!
smartcookieMemberI know a family that was there a week or two ago. Magnificent yet very expensive. They paid $2600. And that’s just for friday night.
July 11, 2011 2:52 pm at 2:52 pm in reply to: Sheitels and cuts- quality and customer service #910764smartcookieMemberI cut a wig by Karym( 14and 59) and was quite happy. I know others who are satisfied with her work too. I lost her phine # though!
smartcookieMemberI always have a fear of inhaling these odors. I find it hard to believe that these products are good for us. They all have chemicals in them.
I’m glad you asked this question here. Let’s see what posts we’ll get about this.
smartcookieMemberIf the costs of the event was donated, then why not? But if our place sponsored the event in order to make more $$, then it’s not very right.
smartcookieMemberOk, so my dr was extra nice and let me come to the office today although he wasn’t accepting patients.
Surprisingly enough, the throat culture is positive for strep. This is the third time I have strep in the past 3 months.
I also took some bloodwork to make sure there isn’t some other infection that we’re overseeing.
Thank you all for your help!
smartcookieMemberJopseh isn’t that bad. In fact, it’s quite a common name(at least here in the CR)! 🙂
smartcookieMemberThank you all for your suggestions and well wishes! I don’t think I have strep because when I do have strep I can hardy move, and now I’m feeling fine B”H. I do have a low fever though.
It’s not my throat that hurts, it’s only that one spot in my throat where I have a big blister(I see it in the mirror!).
My dr isn’t in tomorrow so I guess I’ll have to wait it out until friday. But I hope I’ll feel better by then.
smartcookieMemberIt’s never too smart to gush over your Chosson, Machutanim, presents, etc. You can get people to become very jealous/and very nervous!)
But you shouldn’t make it taboo either. Don’t ignore the fact that you’re engaged, or else she’ll realize that you’re trying to avoid this topic and she’ll be very hurt.
Use your own judgement!
smartcookieMemberDidn’t you know moderator 80 is an 80 year old Bubby?
smartcookieMemberI also exchanged silver by Mr Yablonsky. I got good references for him.
smartcookieMemberEnjoy your summa!
smartcookieMemberMazel tov! It’s so nice when one of “us” get engaged!
smartcookieMemberNetzar- yes my kids are old enough that I don’t have to stand right near them every second.
Anyway, my door is close to the bathroom and I can see and supervise the kids when I go to the front door.
smartcookieMemberDeiyez- she just looked so disappointed…
My question is if I shouldve taken the kids out of the bath at that time to let her in.
smartcookieMemberThanks Qwerty. I was just wondering if you have experience with purchasing from this site or you only checked if the site is secure? The site seems secure to me and I placed an order. However, my order will take about a month to process and that got me concerned. I began wondering if they’re safe.
smartcookieMemberMazel tov Observant! May you build a Bayis Neman Byisrael and always be even happier than you are now!!
smartcookieMemberI think it’s a terrible idea for a single woman to have a baby, unless she is ready to wear a sign explaining that she had this baby through a clinic. People will probably never believe her anyway.
smartcookieMember*LIKE*
smartcookieMemberHappiest, I was so saddened to read this thread but I’m glad to hear you feel better now!
See? The CR makes us all feel good!
Please continue to keep us updated. We are all friends although we’re all anonymous.
Hatzlacha!
smartcookieMemberI multitask. I can do 15 things at once in my home, but I don’t feel like I must always be busy with so many things. I can relax too!
smartcookieMemberWhy don’t we ask Pac-man?
smartcookieMemberNot every question in Tznius you have to ask. A big part of Tznius is about your own feelings.
If you feel ok with playing music when your car windows are down, and every pedestrian will turn his/her head toward your car and give a look, then go ahead. It’s not a question. It’s about using some sense and judging for yourself.
smartcookieMemberNot Kosher? Please phrase your sentences correctly. They’re very kosher, yet can be very highly infested so many people don’t eat them.
June 20, 2011 3:30 am at 3:30 am in reply to: has anyone ever been to albert and sons on new utrect and 48th st. #778137smartcookieMemberSure, the owner is “officially” a religious jew, yet keeps his store open Shabbos, in the heart of Heimishe BORO PARK no less!
He collects a minyan mincha in his store every day, and then keeps his store open for business on Shabbos Kodesh.
Sorry, I try to patronize ehrliche Yidden instead.
But to answer your question- yes it’s a great store with lots of odds n ends you might need.
June 19, 2011 7:29 pm at 7:29 pm in reply to: Bochrim Drag Racing Involved In Major MVA On 13th Ave #778468smartcookieMemberBochrim is the respecful term used for young, unmarried men. Doesn’t turn them into Tzaddikim. They are some foolish, selfish Bochrim who put themselves and others into major danger by acting very irresponsibly.
They obviously have problems in their life and are missing lots of Sechel. I too, don’t understand why they weren’t locked up.
smartcookieMemberYou’re right. But different mods have different minds so I guess they all approve different things.
We’ll miss you and we’ll be glad when you join us again.
Good Shabbos.
smartcookieMemberAlwaysruns- you are funny! You’re lucky you didn’t scare your man away from this crazy date! How old were you then?
smartcookieMemberI absolutely hate to eat in public for fear that something will stay stuck in my teeth and will show. Doesn’t give a very good impression.
I personally cannot understand how a girl agrees to eat in a restaurant on a date. I cannot eat with anyone whom I’m not totally comfortable with. I would be under too much pressure!
smartcookieMemberMinyan- buying a property that used to be a place for Avodah Zora is different because you’re changing the place from Tameh to Kodesh.
Here, you’re are giving up a precious, holy building and giving it away to the use of Avodah Zora.
smartcookieMemberChayala- many, if not most non Jews circumcise their babies boys.
smartcookieMemberChaya- you are seemingly married from your previous Chinuch thread. I find it interesting that you don’t know the answer. What did you do at your wedding?
smartcookieMemberHappiest- I’m so happy for you!!!
Just to mention, that I have a classmate who also has some mental illness and is on medics. She’s happily married now and looks like is doing very well. She’s been through hard times, but as you see, she got there, and so will you!!
Hatzlacha furthur!
smartcookieMemberWolf- The OP is asking about people who should NEVER marry. Nothing about remarrying.
June 14, 2011 5:07 am at 5:07 am in reply to: Guys who reject most of hundred girls they date- are they "ON the Derech"? #777004smartcookieMemberIlove- everyone is entitled to get married and everyone should get married. But marriage should only happen after a person is mature, worked on their Middos,(which also continues after married), and if they need professional help, they should get it.
Otherwise, if one of those details are missing, the person is putting his marriage up for failure and will very possibly ruin a family.
smartcookieMemberAlways run- Please, oh please tell me you weren’t serious with that seesaw story!
smartcookieMemberS2021- welcome back. I don’t recall seeing you post here the last few weeks.
smartcookieMemberIuseBrains- that is the worst advice I ever heard.
Marriage is not a hospital.
smartcookieMemberMII- glad to hear you’re doing better! You better get to rest on YOM TOV! No getting up to serve!
Enjoy and feel all good!
