I HATE my BB. It freezes much too often.
I like the Iphone a lot.
I don’t have any experience with Android.
smartcookieMemberBaal Habooze- that’s basically my husband’s attitude too. But I’m not that kind of “spender”. Even though I know he agrees to spend this amount, I have to know for myself, if it’s right. Meanwhile I still have a guilty conscience!
Heimishe Mom. Miritchke, and others:
I realize that there are great Sheitels out there for a $1000. But I have to say that this $2400 looked and felt like no other one I previously owned! I looked around at many companies, and this was something amazing! (Hopefully)
smartcookieMemberGoq- nobody said husbands CAN’T have an opinion! It’s just that in most cases, husbands pay for that new Sheitel, so they’ll say it’s definitely insane to spend that amount!
smartcookieMemberHey, CShapiro, nice to hear from you! So are you actually wearing those wigs already?!
smartcookieMemberThanks for all your responses.
As Aries said, it really is a very major decision, and I do appreciate when posters explain the reason for their response. Not just- yes/no etc.
I’m looking for advice and reasonings as to why I should go for it or not. (That’s why I asked men to stay away- they don’t understand!). I’m wondering if anyone saw a big difference between a $1000 wig and a $2000. Is it worth the cost?
October 26, 2011 2:46 am at 2:46 am in reply to: Att: Everybody who "knows" amyisraelchai here #829081smartcookieMemberWow, I just came across this thread and it really upset me.
AYC is one of my most favorite posters. I dare the one who chased him away.
smartcookieMemberFor all of you who say it’s too expensive, can you suggest something cheaper yet a VERY GOOD custom?
smartcookieMemberTnx for confirming Popa. I thought 2400 was much too little.
Ok Goq- so whadya say?

You remind me A LOT of Popa. Another bro?
smartcookieMemberWhatrutalkingabt: Mazel Tov! Hope you’re feeling good! Lots of Nachas.
smartcookieMemberI don’t know the first thing about medical school, but I have used an OB group with “heimishe woman drs”.
They have families of kids and are great obstetricians too!
smartcookieMemberMountain buggy swift.
smartcookieMemberThere’s an organization in Williamsburg that caters to all needs for new moms. I once has a night nurse through them(at no charge), and then I donated money to the organization.
This goes back quite a few years so you would need to call and ask. Unfortunately I don’t have their phone number. The name is Oseh Chesed.
smartcookieMemberHe was replaced by Mod 80.
smartcookieMemberTAB- no they are certainly not bedroom clothes. Robes today are more like Chasuna gowns today. They are beautiful and Shabbosdig and elegant.
October 9, 2011 6:04 am at 6:04 am in reply to: Mochel Loch… time to forgive and be forgiven! #1184907smartcookieMemberKapusta- I cannot be Mochel if I don’t know what it was all about.
All I can say is that I recall no such incident and therefore have no hard feeling against you.
smartcookieMemberI usually take the Kali Tzom and I do believe it helps me fast better. Not proven though!
October 9, 2011 5:49 am at 5:49 am in reply to: Why I can't I just walk around with a shaved head? #818794smartcookieMemberWandering Chana- many people on chemo Nebach have bald heads and need to wear a sheitel not to frighten anyone.
Don’t say you want a bald head please!
October 9, 2011 5:44 am at 5:44 am in reply to: Mochel Loch… time to forgive and be forgiven! #1184905smartcookieMemberKapusta- I don’t recall anything you posted which upset me. Would you care to tell me on which thread I can find that?
October 9, 2011 4:33 am at 4:33 am in reply to: Rebbetzin Esther Baila Schwartz says bad news can be harmful to your health #815620smartcookieMemberDr- and why does that make you so glad?
October 9, 2011 4:26 am at 4:26 am in reply to: Rebbetzin Esther Baila Schwartz says bad news can be harmful to your health #815617smartcookieMemberYup health- just realized the “or” put it over her head! Sorry!
And just to clarify- my screen name isn’t meant to imply that I’m smart. Not at all. I just loved that name!
October 9, 2011 4:11 am at 4:11 am in reply to: Rebbetzin Esther Baila Schwartz says bad news can be harmful to your health #815614smartcookieMemberHealth, I agree that your post is wrong.
I’ve been doing Kapporos for years and NEVER did I touch it myself. My husband turns it over my head for me while I say “Zeh Chalifasi”.
No, I don’t call that spoiled.
I know hundreds of others who Shlug Kaporos this way.
smartcookieMemberAnyone know why we Davka use a chicken over fish or money? I am so freaked out by it year after year and was wondering if there’s a reason we rather do a chicken?
smartcookieMemberGoq, sometimes I just love your humor!
smartcookieMemberMike hall- I’ve got news for you.
Being a wife, mother, running a healthy home, requires quite a nice amount of brains….
smartcookieMemberFief Un- you dropped a general stereotype bomb at Chassidim. Chassidim make up quite a broad world.
Your comment showed narrow-mindedness.
smartcookieMemberDepot- because they get engaed very young.
smartcookieMemberWorkaholic- I obviously didn’t mean that marriage is guaranteed to work if you researched, but that much is in your hand. Some of it you gotta leave to Hashem!
smartcookieMemberWorkaholic- I don’t understand your question. A Beshow works that you meet the boy once BECAUSE THE PARENTS DO AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF RESEARCH BEFOREHAND.
If that’s the case by you, then look forward to a great marriage and fear not. If you “just met once” without doing all that research, then it’s a problem.
September 25, 2011 3:09 am at 3:09 am in reply to: What is the kindest thing you've ever done? #812408smartcookieMemberNow that’s a nice Elul thread!
ARIES where are you?!
smartcookieMemberBTW Middlepath, I generally stay away from anonymous controversy. When I argue a point, I need to know who I’m arguing with , and what their level of intelligence is.
It can be like arguing with a 2 yr old if a Lolly or a million dollars is better. You have absolutely no idea whom you’re communicating with.
On an anonymous forum, I cannot argue my point, since I have so many different types of people here. So I stay away! I only visit the light, interesting threads. ( I don’t even read all those arguments).
September 23, 2011 4:14 am at 4:14 am in reply to: What is the meanest thing you've ever done? #812235smartcookieMemberAries, they’re doing Teshuva by saying their mistakes. Why don’t you take it that way?
And I don’t think that telling people to grow up is a better way for Elul.
smartcookieMemberMP- you are so, so right. I’m surprised at the posts that get past moderation here sometimes, and I’m surprised at the posts that get DELETED sometimes.
But I guess different mods, with different minds, approve different posts.
smartcookieMemberAnd I thought this is a continuation of the “brocho on wraps” thread :D!
smartcookieMemberBPT- why can’t we make this into the cocoa room? Why do we need a Coffee room for nasty comments and a separate forum for pleasant ones?
We can all argue respectfully.
smartcookieMemberMP- I’m not sure what you feel about the CR, but we will definitely miss you if you decide to leave.
Your posts contribute a lot here, as they are usually written with respect and a thought out mind.
I never had a problem with your Hashkafos and I’m Chassidish! We have to learn to respect each other’s differences.
smartcookieMemberPopa- I’m taking your post very personally.
smartcookieMemberOy, Oomis. Your post has so much truth to it.
smartcookieMemberHi Mr Shmutter and welcome!
I gotta tell ya how much I enjoy your Hamodia humor article week after week! Your humor is so down to earth! I love your real life scenerios!
I’m so glad you’re here, now maybe you can stay and liven up this place a bit?
Good luck on your book!
smartcookieMemberI found one great part of living in Borough Park!! I was NOT bombarded with mail nor phonecalls before this election!
smartcookieMemberCshapiro- I hear Fortune Wigs is honest, absolutely fantastic, and well priced. Wigs and cuts.
Never tried her, but that’s what I heard last week.

smartcookieMemberI ordered photos there and paid about $4 shipping for 60 pics.
September 6, 2011 4:32 am at 4:32 am in reply to: Should We have a Yeshivah World Chatroom with instant Chat? #807746smartcookieMemberAbout a year ago, the CR posts came up instantly like a chat room. It was very very no good. It lasted a couple of days until it changed.
smartcookieMemberHuh? Adorable is also engaged? Mazel Tov!
smartcookieMemberHuh? Adorable is also engaged? Mazel Tov!
smartcookieMemberDeyez- thanks for the laugh! You are so right about that one!
smartcookieMemberYossi, if you’re replying to the OP, then you do believe a tiny bit of it!
smartcookieMemberI would give the name and add another name more to my liking.
That said, I know some women named “yenti” and they’re doing just fine!
