Well… This thread makes me feel good that pple are concentrating on the positive instead of attacking each others!!!
Thank you!!!!!!
smartcookieMemberNot all chassdim sign tenoyim at the vort. In my chassidus we do sign at the wedding.
But even after tenoyim is signed, its not that u CANT break the shidduch. I’ve heard of that already. Its just that a broken engagement is much worse than a divorce since it involves much more humiliation.
(Please think twice before breaking a shidduch. Maybe it does pay to get married and try it out) please don’t attack me, I don’t know anyones situation but if possible, it is better to get married and divorce than break a shidduch.
Hatzlacha rabbah to everyone
smartcookieMemberI recently bought the canon sd1100 and am really satisfied.was not expensive(100 something) and is great. Just make sure to buy w it a warranty that also covers a fall. I had a camera once that I loved and it fell shorlty thereafter and broke- garbage!!!
Please get a warranty
smartcookieMemberHi! Bsha tova. I also went through that stage of having the SCARY SECOND. Everyone told me how hard the adjustment will be and they were so right!!! B”h for all that but it wasn’t easy at all. I love them dearly and they are a real bracha but its a lot of work!
The only advice I have is to push through and appreciate and love them and I guess we’ll relax when they’re married off!!!
Main thing is that we all stay healthy safe and happy!!
BARUCH HASHEM!!!!
smartcookieMemberOh, I wish. Whats wrong with kids having gym class, baking/cooking(yes even boys!), swimming, or even an interesting current event workshop once a week – IN THEIR OWN YESHIVA BUILDING. Oh- lets keep on dreaming but it would be great!
smartcookieMemberMYSHADOW- Yes, I heard about that too. Sad, however, because pple dont care enough to stop purchasing their BRAND NAME items.
smartcookieMemberDont think Weiss is still around. I heard aobut them a lot though, how great it was!
March 5, 2009 6:41 pm at 6:41 pm in reply to: POLL: The Big Event Concert; Big Flop? Or Best Show? #640273smartcookieMemberBTW EVERYONE- donno- I heard from someone who attended the concert that it was very nice but really nothing major.
But why all the arguing? Please everybody- use your senses and stop fighting. You all KNOW that we’re all different with different hashkafos. PLEASE!!!!!
smartcookieMembertheres this restaurant in manhattan- La Carni- great!!! Steakhouse. Food is absolutely delicious. Not too cheap though.
smartcookieMemberHysterical. Im really enjoying this thread. Calm, relaxing, happy, and no arguing for a change.
smartcookieMemberoooooooohhhhhhhhhh- thank you!!! I feel so much better now!!!!
smartcookieMemberTHANK YOU JOSEPH!!! I cant believe someone actually realized that Im missing!!! I was just gonna give in a complaint on this thread that nobody misses me!!!!
Im pretty busy at work and in life lately…..Very hard to spend my time on Shtissum!!! I just look in once in a while to see how the coffee room is these days without me.
Sometimes I do wish I can follow conversations here. Sometimes Im desparate to yell at some pple here, but I have other things to worry about!!!
smartcookieMemberI how I really hope so. Please continue to Daven. Dont forget about them.
smartcookieMemberif you’re not 100% sure, then DONT SAY IT!!!
smartcookieMemberNice idea. I can try. suggestions anyone?
smartcookieMemberTell them naturally, like you would tell another friend. I went through the same. These friends dont want to be pities, and they definitely dont want to find out from the street about your news.
Please Please Please- dont give them the Bracha- IYH by you! It hurts them a lot. You can think it, and Daven to Hashem, but dont show them that they’re world’s pity.
And during pregnancy/ child ubringing, dont act as if you dont have kids. They will know you are trying to avoid these conversations. Of course, dont tlak aobut it a lot, or complain ever, but mention it here and there. This makes them feel normal. Their biggest worry is that they are world’s pity.
smartcookieMemberwhat a boring thread. sorry. sometimes u just have to use ur own judgement instead of asking pple. thank you.
smartcookieMemberYAEL- I heard they are DEFINITELY being tortured and one of them already became touched from his torture. I also heard that they are being held in tiny little rooms that cannot hold a person. they cannot stand up straight bec the ceilings are so low.
From sitting all alone, without stretching limbs once in a while, I dont think it’s possible to stay normal.
OH! Im so traumatized. I hope this is all not true, but it seems too real….
May Hahsem have them freed today!!!
smartcookieMemberBROOKLYN19- I really do know how to take a joke and I cant say this wasnt funny. I did laugh. But it really ISNT FUNNY!!!There are millions of other funny jokes out there, why do we need to use our Heilige Torah stories to laugh at? Nothing terrible, but something to be aware of.
smartcookieMemberSQUEAK- Your joke about the MIL and Shlome Hamelech was not funny at all. Not because I cant handle MIL jokes, I really do love them, but you dont apply a stupid, made up joke to Shlome Hamelech from Taanach. Especially taht you are poking fun at a similar story that actually happened during his time(where 2 woman were fighting over who’s child it is and he said it belongs to the mother that did not let slice the child in half.)I go for humor, but not this. I hope you get my point.
smartcookieMemberPlease let us know if any posters here are one of the winners!!! Cant wait till my name’s on there.
smartcookieMemberBROOKLYN- SORRY- ERROR:
Windows symbol and D gets you directly to the desktop.(not cntl D)
smartcookieMembercharlie brown-I like your humor for a change. Everyone’s always so serious here
smartcookieMemberCNTL-D to drop everything and get to main desktop.
smartcookieMemberThank you Joseph! Wow! I didnt think pple are realizing whether I post or not! That’s bad news. Means Im online too much.
Well, I did get a lot busier these days and no time to be online. So I guess i’ll just throw in my 2 cents here and there. Dont miss my smart advice too much!!
smartcookieMemberIm laughing to myself in public!! This is the funniest thread here on the coffee room. Finally!!!!! something hysterical here!!! Im really enjoying it!!
smartcookieMemberIm highly disappointed that I was shmoozing with such young pple and arguing with them.
smartcookieMemberIm a poshite Yid
smartcookieMemberWelcome Welcome!!! We’re so happy to have you!
smartcookieMemberMODERATOR- It’s not Davka me. I TRY to proofread, besides if I’m limited in time. But some posts are too ridiculous to post!!! Too bad I guess. Not everyone is good at EVERYTHING!
smartcookieMemberHow about spellchecking? So careless mistakes will get corrected and bad mistakes will not look so bad anymore…. Some errors are so ridiculous.
smartcookieMemberYW MODERATOR- How about considering getting another moderater to moderate spelling mistakes? Not the careless ones, those happen when you’re typing quickly and not proofreading. Some mistakes are just so pathetic.
smartcookieMemberjust a little question- why does it bother you? Whats the difference whether it’s in caps or not?
smartcookieMemberSJS- sounds good. Can I find it in my local grocery?
November 25, 2008 5:37 pm at 5:37 pm in reply to: A mitzvah for an aveira? or at someone else’s expense? #626763smartcookieMemberintelligent- it’s an elderly person/expectant lady’s duty not to obligate others and get themselves into that situation, but it’s your job to stand up for them if you are in that situation.
smartcookieMemberChatty- this recipe is delicous with some bay leaves(nice look too) and 4 pieces whole cloves(besamim) give it a delicious taste too.

smartcookieMemberSJSinNYC- Thank you but what is Pesto for heaven’s sake?! In all my years of cooking I never came across that one! I checked recipes online but they all require Pesto. Is it a spice/sauce….?
smartcookieMemberso funny how many of you are falling into place now after explaining your pen names
smartcookieMemberSounds absolutely scrumptious!! I will not do it today because I dont have the ingredients at home, but will try at another time.
Cranberry sauce- do you use the canned one for this?
And 6 min sounds a bit too little. Doesnt stay raw?
