There’s an organization in brooklyn that’s set up to help eating disorders specifically.

I don’t remember the name but they help so many people every day. They constantly have new people calling them/showing up at their door in desperation.

I wouldn’t WANT a boy who’s only looking for a size 0 girl, even though I was very thin. Doesn’t show good middos from the boys part.

I don’t see anything wrong with being a size 6,8 and on. As long as one is controlled with their weight and eating with limits.

And a good lesson for all those single boys looking for the zeros: b4 I got married I was a size 2, and once the kids started coming it DIDN’T stay that way at all.

That’s what happens to MOST women.

So if you’re looking for that skinny girl, bare in mind that sizes change. Its the insides that stay forever.

Realtalk- I can’t believe a person can actually hate chocolate!!

But anyway, I’m trying to understand if you wake up during the night from hunger, or are you just waking up and you happen to think you’re hungry then?

If you’re waking up from hunger then you MUST eat a normal meal in the afternoon hours.

Also, is there any specific reason why you only eat lunch? Because you really should eat a light meal later on(suppertime), this way you’ll avoid eating right before bed. If you’re not eating supper, then of course you’re hungry late at night.

Esther, the feeling of being all alone in the tzarah, thinking that nobody understands what you’re going through, is probably one of the very difficult parts to it.

My heart goes out to you as I try to understand your pain. Oh how we all wish that none of us should ever have to know of such pain.

Hashem should help you be strong in your challenge and he should bring health upon you and your family.

Oh oomis what a good point you make. Walking up and down the streets in this beautiful weather, one sees lots of kids kayn ayin horah but NO ADULT SUPERVISION WHATSOEVER…..

I know its a mitzvah to be dan lzchus but this time I just cannot understand the mothers. I cannot find a zchus.

I have a family of my own B”H so I know what its like to have kids, and I would never let them be outside themselves. I really can’t understand what those mothers are thinking.

    Very frightening.

I gotta go now…I’m taking my kids out to play!!!

Haifagirl- that won’t work in brooklyn!! I guess you’ve never been to brooklyn before??!! Or at least not in the crazy rush hours.

They need to control traffic with HEAVY fines. Money always talks.

Instead of paying for meters, people should pay bigger fines when going against the law.

I’m really embarrassed from some people sometimes…such a chilul hashem.

As far as I’m concerned- 47-13 and up is packed with pple until late at night.

60th is already more out of the neighborhood.

Boro park on shabbos is full of yidden and is beautiful to stroll through at any hour.

Near rachmistrivke is definitely a great neighborhood as it is VERY JEWISH and in the heart of boro park.

In any case, we’re in galus and not safe anywhere. Only hashem can watch us whether its in BP or in the Bronx.

    Good shabbos and keep safe!!

Because 5am everyone is hungry as it is abt 10 hours since supper. But as long as ur not fainting from hunger, you should wait another few hrs until breakfast.

We don’t need to feed our bodies as soon as the last meal was digested.

As long as your getting 3 nutritious meals a day, and yes of course you can snack on something too. But after supper its best not to eat until you wake up the next morning.

At 5am when you wake up really hungry – you eat NOTHING.(Besides if there’s any medical reason involved).

Under normal cicumstances, you don’t have to eat every time you’re hungry. Certainly not at 5am.

Rescue- its perfectly fine for those of us not eating kitniyos. So what if we live on meat, eggs, potatoes for 8 days. Nothing will happen.

Its just that when ur not used to something, it seems much harder than it really is.

    Oomis ur so right.

I don’t eat most of the bought foods on pesach but its only a CHUMRA so not to come to a chashash chametz even(the less we buy the safer we are).

But these foods are 100% kosher for passover and absolutely nothing wrong with eating them.

We don’t refrain from chametz to deprive ourselves. That’s not the reason.

YANKY55- my husband has a divorced friend that also has his 2 kids with him only some days. They join us for seudos and it is really beautiful.

I’m sure he’d rather be with his own fmaily but since this is the situation, he chose a friend where he’ll be comfortable and sticks one same home usually.

Maybe you too, should find one or two specific families where you’ll feel most comfortable and stick to them instead of running around.

This might make you feel like part of their family.

We love when our guest joins us and I’m sure he does too! He’s becoming more and more part of our family.

Hatzlacha rabbah and good yom tov.

Zephyr- I had a roll with fish in there but the whole roll was fried so the fish wasn’t completely raw. But the idea of it makes me disgusted.

That black this under the rice is pretty interesting too.

The actual taste was ok, but the whole concoction of the fish and all is very not ok.

I think this thread was terribly boring since all it consisted of was #s…

Even now that we have the links, may I suggest that each poster posts an explanation as to why they like the specific kapital?

IMO, his first album was much better. This one too is quite beautiful, yet he’s making himself a little “sticky” which takes away the whole taam.

I think he’s trying to sing “lipa” style on this cd.

His first cd was definitely with much more yiddish taam and is from the the nicest albums I ever heard.
