Pascha- this is too funny. I just wanted to search for this thread because lately I have so many canker sores. Now I have 3 of them.

Depressed you should never be. But I am definitely rotten! I can’t move my mouth and that puts any person into a bad mood.

I should try to take vitamins.

Jobless- I also stopped biting my nails but still tear the skin around them.

I’m trying to stop for years. But I can find myself sitting and playing with my fingers for a while before I realize what I’m doing. I don’t always realize as I’m tearing my skin.

How do you keep yourself conscious about it?

    Ester C (a form of vitamin C).

You also take it before you catch a cold, when you feel a little shiver and it prevents colds.

    People swear by it!

Some people, like myself, MUST wear makeup at all times and will not leave their homes without light makeup. That is because our skin is really not so great.

This type of makeup is absolutely not attractive, it just looks very natural and makes me look plain sweet!

If you’re wearing heavy makeup, especially eye makeup, then it is a problem.

Saftala- when you do it once or twice a year (on a three day yom tov), its OK.

However, my heart goes out for you. Is it possible to find some nice man who davens regularly in shomrei shbbs and become his shabbos guest?

At least give us your name so we can Daven for you.

    Sacrilege-

I bought model in a bottle and was very disappointed. I was wondering if you don’t have this problem:

After a few hrs, my makeup wears off, and only the parts of my face that got spritzed from the spray, end up staying with makeup.

I do try to spray all over, but I still end up with blotches of makeup on the next day, and the rest of my makeup is shvitzed away.

This is too funny. I’ve always heard that biting off the pitum is a Segulah for beautiful children. Pregnant or not.

(Maybe we should all try it this year and we’ll end the Shidduch crisis!! ;-))

Abuse in the family usually goes to the kids. I would be VERY SCARED to touch such a family.

Kids who were abused, will USUALLY abuse their own spouse/kids even though they look and act like very fine people from the outside.

Charlie- your post about wearing colored shirts on shabbos is disturbing.

All week, you can wear whichever color you like and it’s perfect, Shabbos however, there is something to a white shirt. It’s absolutely more shabbosdig in my opinion.

(Like spreading a white tablecloth on your table Lekovod shbbs.)

I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t trust my husband if he would lie to me before. It would ruin the trust in my marriage. Even if he would lie about a minor detail.

Just be honest if you want your spouse to be honest with you.

I still miss those walks. Now we need major babysitting arrangements if we wanna step out of the house!

My little kids love to help. So:

I bought an EMPTY plastic spray bottle and filled it with water! They spray the mirrors and walls and wherever mommy lets and then they wipe it all! Proud!

They also love to fold laundry. And you’ll be surprised how cute they fold everything. I let them sit on the bed and fold whatever they want while I’m busy in the kitchen.

(I redo everything later when they sleep :-))

Many chasidim have perfectly arranged marriages. Hi son/daughter, you’re getting engaged tonight to “boy/girl”.

Most Chassidim do not tell their child you’re getting engaged tonight. I’ve heard FEW such cases.

I saw a beautiful thing. Buy a styrofoam ball(not very small), and buy many nice, big flowers(fake).

With straight pins you pin on the flowers all around until the ball is all covered. Hand from the succah ceiling.

When biting nails, one doesn’t realize that they’re biting. It’s not a matter of thinking”do I want to bite or not”.

The person usually realizes later what they were doing.

Mosherose -It’s ossur to go to college esp. if they have internet access!

I’ve asked him many times why he’s on the internet(I hope it doesn’t go furthur than YW) even if it’s assur and not once got a response.

Some people just choose which area they’d like to be extra frum in.
